"Think about it... why else would she ask us to attend a party?"

"I believe she's hiring us so she can have more time to... um ... be with you. Haven't you noticed the way she glanced briefly in your direction when we fought off those crazed rogues at the docks?"

Tugging at his worn clothes, "Yeah. Good evening, Luenevyn. I see where your share of the gold went."

Lam-ang is not at ease with all this finery and he is distinctly aware of how poor he looks.

Lam-ang accompanies Lance and the others to the docks.

Updated Lam-ang. Pls. advise if there is anything out of place.

"Wouldn't mind the work. See you then tomorrow before the party."

"Wouldn't mind to have some gold."

"Someone start out a light. I need to have my hands free just in case we encounter something nasty."

"Ok. Let's go."

Marching Order? I'll go in front. What time of day is it already?

Lam-ang has an aversion to killing helpless animals. Nevermind that those dogs would've torn his throat out if given half a chance.

"Yup. Got any holy symbols? They're said to be effective against the undead."

"Alright. Who's in favor of a little ghost hunting?"

Lam-ang suggests that the party go through the house. He has a feeling that there is someone or something else inside the house.

"Anyone noticed anything strange when we were attacking that dog?"

Lam-ang offers to give the other party members a boost up the rope.

"Good job everyone. Now let's go up the rope before the other dogs recover."

Lam-ang notices the precarious tactical position Luenevyn is in. He wields his quarterstaff two-handed and charges the dog.

Attack 1d20+4=13, Damage 1d6+3=4

Lam-ang shouts, "Quickly, that thing won't be blinded for long." He then makes a sprint to where Luenevyn is.

Move to 11, 2

Yup.

Reflex Save (1d20+2=9)

Spoiler:
Holy Crud!

Lam-ang dives away from the big bad wolf.

Move to (2,2)

And hurls more gobs of meat at it.

Lam-ang draws a handful of scrap meat from the sack and hurls it at the path of the Big bad wolf, hoping that it will distract it from charging and give us time enough to subdue it.

DitheringDM, do we still have some meat?

Initiative Roll (1d20+6=17)

Lam-ang tosses the prepared meat into the midst of the hungry dogs. He then yells, "Stand together! We can take them!"

Lam-ang whispers, "I favor circling the place before entering. It'll give us a better idea of what to expect."

Lam-ang admonishes everyone to stay alert and to keep silent.

You can have the shield. I'll just climb up a tree until we can sedate the dogs.

"Ok. I brought along some bait to attract those dogs. Now did anyone bring some potion to sedate them?" Lam-ang then looks for a good elevated vantage point from which he can observe the area.

"I suggest that we bring some near rancid meat. It is a fine way to attract/distract these wild dogs. Then perhaps we can lace these meats with the appropriate knockout drug or something."

"Hmmm, wild dogs... I think we should go with the plan of drugging them. But that means we're going to need some fine bait. Or some pit traps, instead?"

Lam-ang pauses to think of other things that might help the party against the wild dogs.

Knowledge (nature) (1d20+1=21)

Wow a natural 20!

"Like you said, Lance, it's nice to have a plan. Which brings me to my present concern, where to buy reliable yet affordable gear for this little adventure."

"Anyone know where I can buy armor, cheap?"

Raising his left eyebrow, Lam-ang asks, "100 gold each?"

"An awful lot of people for a not so exciting job, you say. Tell us what exactly you wish of us, Tolin."

Awesome Rolls there :D

"Oh! Hello, Tolin. You caught me by surprise there. No, haven't seen the others." Lam-ang scans the crowd searching for familiar faces.

Search or Spot ?

Luenevyn greets Lam-Ang with a smile. "Good morning. I haven't seen hide nor hair of Tolin. Perhaps he will be keeping an eye out for us."

Luenevyn then shows off his really nice pair of walking boots.

"You really did quite well for yourself."

Smiling, Lam-ang approach the tattooed elf, "Good morning. Have you seen Tolin? Trying to catch him by surprise."

Spot Check (1d20+5=14)

Was Summer hiding in plain sight? Don't I get a Spot Check? LOL, in trying to get the drop on Tolin, Summer appears to have gotten the drop on me. Ironic :D

Lam-ang is up early for his meeting with Tolin. Donning his somber clothes and taking his trusty staff, he is off to the Dawn Market, sprinting, which he loves so much.

Reaching the Dawn Market, Lam-ang weaves through the morning crowd hoping to get the drop on Tolin. Lam-ang pauses to wipe the sweat off his brow.

Lam-ang heeds the messenger's advise to stay away from the vicious and mean dogs.

Lam-ang spends his free time in meditation at the Church of the Whirling Fury.

Upon receiving the letter of Lavinia Vanderboren, Lam-ang asks the messenger for her address. He personally thanks Lavinia for her generosity.

"Thank you. Please understand that I would have done what I did regardless of any reward. I cannot find it in my heart to any injustice to exist. Moreover, a beautiful woman like you should not be placed in such distress. Thank you again."

Thereafter, he goes and meets Tolin.

Happy New Year. Ready here :D

Lam-ang starts to turn away and leave when he realizes that the sailors are intending to dish out their own brand of justice on the thugs. Lam-ang's sense of justice is offended.

"No! That is not right! Fight fairly!" Lam-ang declares adamantly. He catches the eye of the sailors' leader and grips his staff for emphasis. "You will dishonor the name of your mistress if you persist in acting this way."

Merry Christmas to One and All :D

Lam-ang also takes a dagger.

"Pray tell us... the name of the gang that will back a loser like you. Ha ha ha." Lam-ang then picks the whittled whale bone.

Lam-ang meets Tolin with a steely gaze, "I am Lam-ang and am presently staying at the Knowlern Estate. I didn't help you people for the money. But I am not in the habit of refusing anything freely given." Then, Lam-ang offers his hand in a gesture of peace to Tolin.

Lam-ang heaves a sigh of relief. He nods at the others' attempts at conversation.

Just had a very busy work week. Will post a more articulated response later.
