Lady Natalia Landros's page

His belief that the Azlanti still lived was proven by his slightly older twin sister, Natalia, who claimed to truly be a paladin of Aroden. She exhibited the martial prowess of a paladin, though she used more magic in her combat. (she is a battle oracle) She also entered the Pathfinder Society with a similar goal to her brother, though perhaps he was better received than she was. All in all, she finally received her family goal, as she was made senator of taldor.

Description: The Landros family is an OLD blood bearded family, but have been on the outs for quite some time. Landros knights served in all of the old Armies of Exploration... and they would again. Like any good Taldan noble family, they were resistant to change. To that end, to this day they venerate Aroden as their patron.

Their devotion was about to waver, it seemed, when they were blessed with twins. It was the older of the two, the girl, Natalia, that restored their faith. However, being pragmatists, the younger twin, the boy Magnus, was trained by the Church of Abadar.

Natalia restored their faith when she very early on when she exhbited powers. She spoke in tongues, (well, Celestial, though she called it old Azlanti), and showed minor powers of healing. They determined that they would have two paladins in the family... one of Aroden, and one of Abadar (since Magnus was not blessed by the Scion of Humanity).

The one goal that the Landros family has had, for the last several hundred years, is to restore their family to prominence. With this in mind, the pragmatic family sent their two children to the Pathfinder Society to earn their name, and their fortunes. Magnus quickly fell in with a different crowd, The Silver Crusade, and became more enamored with doing good, hoping to attract the attention of Aroden.

Lady Natalia saw the Pathfinder Society as a means to an end. She wielded her influence and growing fame into a restored noble title, though it was still of little prominence. However, she stayed close with Lady Glorianna, and when the chance was given to her to protect Taldor, she jumped at the chance.

"I am sure you are mistaken. I am a paladin of Aroden, and he quite clearly grants me his power. Those that believe he is dead just don't have enough faith." says Lady Natalia. (who is, in reality, a battle oracle.)

I used my adamantine lock pick (aka nodachi) while our cleric cast detect magic to suppress the trap. With the door off,and the trap suppressed, we made away with the goods

Now, I can see those of less than Taldan ingenuity may not have come up with this solution, but it 8s a good thing that I am Taldan to the core. Now, I know that The Grand Prince must be removed, assuming he managed to survive.

I have a friend with a paladin of Aroden who got all the way to level 14 in PFS before the rules change that requires paladins to have a legal patron.

So, there we were, in this peaceful country manor. Minding our own business, as Pathfinders always do. bluff: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (11) + 15 = 26

When all of a sudden, this chaos beast attacks. We dealt it quite the beating, with my strong, Taldan-made steel striking the final blow. I was a little... concerned... however, to see that the GM Jon was practically quivering in anticipation of being able to turn me into pile of chaos-goo. By Aroden, I am glad I struck clean, and finished the beast!

GM, would you mind marking this campaign as inactive, so that it falls of our campaign screen now that we're done?

I understand that I was not very specific here, but that was because I did not know the nature of the bonds. In any case...

Natalia reposition: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23 (I assume that the pathfinder is not resisting... even still, with a UMD of 18 or less, he is off the grate)

If she still has an action this turn, she'll move to the next one, and do the same (otherwise, it will be her next action)

Natalia reposition: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32 (Will get a CMD of 27 or less off the grate)

That being the case, couldn't Natalia have grabbed the one from the grate? I thought that was what I was doing. In any case, she'll pull the one off the grate, and heal him, per my previous post.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
reflex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 (currently at 23hp)
Heal check: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 (well, she's not good at this!)

Natalia looks for a way to get the Pathfinder off the grate - is the the person tied/chained to it? Also, if the person looks close to death, she will take the time to heal him.

It is traditional to have your best batter hit cleanup.

Technically, you want your best hitter hitting third... Cleanup is for the power hitter that has as many K's as hits!

So, it seems it is Natalia's turn. In case people didn't read the spoiler, she used her "Surprising Charge" oracle revelation to move up to Tygora as an immediate action, allowing her to get an AOO when she moved away. She managed to get a critical hit, dealing 56 damage (and using my shirt reroll).

Lady Natalia will take step onto the dais, so that she can reach the efreeti. She swings her adamantine blade with, focusing all of her anger and frustration into another blow!

To expand on what I stated on the Gameplay thread.

Natalia is currently Large size, so takes up a 10X10X10 area, instead of 5X5X5.

A humanoid creature whose size increases to Large has a space of 10 feet and a natural reach of 10 feet.

So, Natalia is 10' tall, and can reach to 20'

Tygora is 15' in the air, so her lower half is between 15 and 20' (the fourth cube, horizontally), so is reachable with a reach of 20' from the ground (which Natalia has).

So: if Natalia is directly under Tygora, it is pretty simple... she is within 4 her reach.

If she is 5' from a square that is directly under Tygora, from her, she is one square, plus one diagonal, which is defined as 10' away from Tygora, so can still hit her.

If she is 10' away, she is two diagonals away, which has recently been ruled to be within reach of 10' as well. (I don't have the link handy, but can search for it, if needed).

In any case, Natalia would take her immediate action upon Tygora starting her move. This would catch Tygora moving more than a 5' step, triggering the AoO on the move (when she isn't 15' in the air).

I suppose Tygora could change her action when she sees Natalia 10' away from her, and threatenting her.

Hope this all makes sense!

Natalia is 10' tall right now, which doubles her reach. She can reach up into the 4th square, vertically. If Tygora is only 15' up, her feet are in the 4th cube, easily in Natalia's reach, I should think. If Natalia moves to the square that is 3N-1E of her current position, adjacent to both Xiaobo and Milton, she should be able to reach Tygora as she moves away. As for her reroll, I have linked to a picture of me in my "purple goblin" shirt. However, I know that not all PbP GMs allow rerolls, so I will understand if you don't allow it.

I would say that, for now, we proceed as if this ruling does not apply for online games, since there isn't much other way to proceed.

I am a little concerned, however, that with only 6 days to go, we aren't going to make it in on the game day.

Natalia will cast her spell, Divine Favor, and move towards the captured Pathfinders on the left, blade at the ready. She will end up 20' from Tygora, to the left of the circle on the floor, next to the SW agent.

"Sorry, Milton, I am going to have to side with Yanos on this one. While you may not have agreed with us, we supported the Oreads in their attempt to regain the freedom stolen from them."

I read it that the hostages are not specifically bound to the location where they are, is this correct?

On the right side of the room stand 4 bound and gagged humanoids, three humans and an older oread.

Good point, Milton, from this I cannot tell if they are bound to the location.

'How do we manage this? We'll need to pull as many of the captives off the traps as we can. Let's keep talking. But about what?

Natalia notices the Pathfinder's signal, and tries to get the attention back on to her.

Perhaps you could learn from the long history of Taldor... we have been able to bring many peoples into our vast empires, and left civilization wherever we went.

"And then there is the Pathfinder Society... we have learned so much in the last few years of ancient civilizations... perhaps we can learn much more from each other!"

Natalia's buffs are all 12 minutes... they are min/level (she is 6th), and cast under the Blessing of Fervor as extended

"Release the Pathfinders, free the oreads, and we'll have no trouble here."

Feel free to add any penalties as appropriate.... Natalia is pretty pissed by this point.

"I guess it is time to do the doors between the statues, unless someone wants to open some locked doors. I think that we should do the obvious choice."

Natalia moves towards the double doors between the statues.

Natalia will scan the room with detect magic, just in case, and then follow Yanos.

Natalia will stand next to Yanos, sword at the ready.

"I guess that works, too. Thanks, Volsag!"

Natalia thinks for a moment, and then says, "Shall we take the main doors, here, between the statues, or try and slink around." She is obviously looking at the double doors between the statues.

Optional encounters never add or subtract treasure. I would say since we are low on time, we just skip it.

No cost to not doing it, cost in resources + time to do it.
