Kyrie picks up his chakram and looks at Shogun. "Nice shootin' Tex." He then moves to the couple. "Of course, we're friends. Crusaders all the way. Kyrie Swiftstrike at your service. Thank the gods you two are safe. We heard your screams and prayed we were not too late. Can you walk? The path to the entrance is clear, unless you prefer holding out in here."

Halfling Fighter 3| AC 19, Touch 15, FF 15|HP 35/35 | F +6, R +5, W +2 (+5 vs. fear)| Init +3| Perc +9|CMD 18|Stealth +14

Kyrie curses under his breath as he hears the glass crunch under the bard's foot, as he flings his chakram at the horned bully!
Chakram: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
If it hits, he has +4 to attack it next round.

Kyrie shakes his head and smiles. He whispers to Shogun, "He is such a rookie." He grabs the young crusader's arm. "Elliott, let the pros go first." Kyrie stealths into the store moving past him.

Halfling Fighter 3| AC 19, Touch 15, FF 15|HP 35/35 | F +6, R +5, W +2 (+5 vs. fear)| Init +3| Perc +9|CMD 18|Stealth +14

"I like your plan, Elliott, of using the robes to infiltrate, except for one issue. These cultists were all humans and therefore human sized. I do not fit into these robes. And to parade me as a prisoner, I don't think, would fly. Also, these bastards were responsible for murdering my village, so it would disgust me to wear their perverted garb. Let's get moving into the city and see what we can find."

Halfling Fighter 3| AC 19, Touch 15, FF 15|HP 35/35 | F +6, R +5, W +2 (+5 vs. fear)| Init +3| Perc +9|CMD 18|Stealth +14

"Great, Elliott. I agree with Shogun. As for the woman and her child, I think the further away from the city they get the safer they will be. If they stay in the city with us, we won't be able to protect them. Let's check our enemies for orders, supplies, or magic, given your arcane talent, Elliott, before we move ahead further." Kyrie will looks through the bodies for anything of value. Maybe Elliott can use Detect Magic.

Halfling Fighter 3| AC 19, Touch 15, FF 15|HP 35/35 | F +6, R +5, W +2 (+5 vs. fear)| Init +3| Perc +9|CMD 18|Stealth +14

Kyrie rips off a piece of cultist robe and bandages roughly his wound. "Don't beat yourself over it. You did what you could. I'm sorry. I didn't get your name. I'm Kyrie, that's Merixia, and the killer archer who is quiet as a mouse is Shogunto. Welcome." Kyrie shoots the ranger a wink.

Halfling Fighter 3| AC 19, Touch 15, FF 15|HP 35/35 | F +6, R +5, W +2 (+5 vs. fear)| Init +3| Perc +9|CMD 18|Stealth +14

"Good shootin', Shogun." Kyrie winces at his wound as he moves over to pick up his chakram. "She got me once, but not too badly. It seemed her attack was inspired by the gods. Guess we have other worries than just demons in our fair city." As he surveys the scene, Kyrie sees Elliott. The halfling with the greatsword approaches him. "Yes, we are Crusaders as well. You lookin' for survivors too? We could use all the help we can get."

"I like your thinking, Shogun." Kyrie moves to within 20', drawing his chakram as he moves, and launches it at Hosilla, but it's a poor throw.

Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Halfling Fighter 3| AC 19, Touch 15, FF 15|HP 35/35 | F +6, R +5, W +2 (+5 vs. fear)| Init +3| Perc +9|CMD 18|Stealth +14

Kyrie briefly looks back at Merixia, "Thanks!" He looks at the cultist to his west, takes a 5' step back, sidestepping the glaive's blade, and brings his sword into the cultist's ribs!
Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 1 = 27

Hey Trevor, welcome!

Halfling Fighter 3| AC 19, Touch 15, FF 15|HP 35/35 | F +6, R +5, W +2 (+5 vs. fear)| Init +3| Perc +9|CMD 18|Stealth +14

Kyrie spins the greatsword and thrusts the blade into the wounded crusader's gut.

At seeing the cultists, Kyrie can only think of one emotion: Revenge! He steps out from behind the wagon, greatsword in hand and moves past the fallen woman and her child. "How about you jackals take on someone who hits back?" He moves 30' north to get next (5') to the cultists and negate their reach. I am hoping they do not have Combat Reflexes.

Kyrie dismounts his pony. He can't fight with his greatsword while mounted. Furthermore, since it is not combat trained, he will leave it outside the city - hopefully it survives; if not, he will be walking. Kyrie will take the lead and stealth to the entrance with Shogunto, "I think you'll be ok, no branches around here."

Halfling Fighter 3| AC 19, Touch 15, FF 15|HP 35/35 | F +6, R +5, W +2 (+5 vs. fear)| Init +3| Perc +9|CMD 18|Stealth +14

"Merixia, give 'em your tent and let's get moving back to Kenabres." Kyrie will give the townsfolk all but a day of his rations also.

Sorry for gaffe on the Queen's name.

Kyrie walks over to the bound criminals, "While the Queen is alive and the government of Mendev is functioning, you two will face punishment for your crimes. I will ensure it. So one more word from either of you..." Kyrie gives them the death stare that he's used on all who ever doubted his abilities because of his size.

Kyrie closes his eyes as he takes a deep breath and absorbs the news he has just been given. His beloved Kenabres on the brink of destruction. The dragon protector dead. Lord Hulrun, the commanding officer of Kenabres’ troops and his commander - fate unknown (?): dead, missing, or captured most likely. Some of his friends in Kenabres, soldiers and otherwise – unknown. Kyrie listens to his companions’ comments without reaction though his blood is boiling inside. ”Thank you for this grave news, Harmis. Let me discuss this with my companions and see what is the best outcome.”

Kyrie motions his companions to the side of the road far enough from the prisoners and the townsfolk. In a calm low voice, he speaks. ”What you are all proposing is noble. But we’re soldiers, not mercenaries, we knew what we were signing up for when we joined the Crusade. It definitely wasn’t for the glamorous lifestyle or the measly pay. We signed up for the code: Queen Gafney, the Crusade, and the Unit. These people’s plight, while sad, is not our priority. They’ve just been healed by Merixia. They can all walk. There may be people bleeding and dying in the streets of Kenabres who need our help. What about our garrison? The seat of power in Kenabres? Our Lord Commander – what of his fate? We have to hurry back to Kenabres and fight for what may be left of our city and save whomever we can. Every second we lose could be someone’s life. I am sure not all of the city’s defenders are dead. We have to group up with them and mount a defense. It does not matter if there’s some demon with a flaming sword waiting for us – this is what we signed up for.”

Don't want to offend anyone - just playing my LN alignment. Soldier and the mission first and foremost.

Kyrie pauses, his eyes wide, "Wait, what? Nine Hells unleashed on Kenabres? What exactly are you saying? Take it from the beginning. What exactly happened? This is important."

After the outlaws are captured or dealt with, Kyrie good-naturedly ribs Shogunto, "Next time, try not to step on the branch and give our way our element of surprise." He teases the ranger a few more times during the trip.

Kyrie's good mood slips away when he sees the townsfolk. "Watch the prisoners." The small little armored warrior approaches the crowd, clearly showing his Crusader insignia. "Hey folks, I know you may be scared, but we're part of the Crusade." He motions back to his party members. "What happened to make you leave your homes and travel on these dangerous roads?" He expresses a genuine concern for the well-being for the people.

Thanks Merixia - forgot to add it. I added his pic, background, and personality. :)

Three months together work for me, as Merixia stated - avoids the awkwardness. But I don't agree with Shogunto's premise - losing our unit is starting with failure and then to learn that our beloved city has lost thousands of souls would be just piling on. I'd rather have us rushing back with hope of joining the festivities of Armasse after a successful mission and then to get hit with the hopelessness of the situation and undertaking the saving the survivors in the city - that feels heroic.

Hi everyone, look forward to playing with you all. :)

I never rolled my 2nd and 3rd level hps; just took 1/2+1.
HPs: 2d10 ⇒ (9, 10) = 19
Edit: Sweet!

Hey all, I'm the halfling greatsword fighter - he's little but he can pack a punch with good AC. Look forward to playing with y'all. :)

Personality:
Kyrie is happy go lucky halfling despite the tragedies in his life, as he has complete confidence in Desna that she will see him through any danger, no matter the threat level. He marches in confidently toward any danger, relying on his wits, skill, and luck. He tends to be humorous and jovial, even when it is not appropriate.

Physical description:
Kyrie is lithe, measuring all of 3', with black hair, green eyes, and a black goatee. He has a tattoo of a butterfly on his right cheek. The only weapons visible on him are the slingstaff he has strapped on his back, which is made of an ancient druid's bark.

Background:
Some would say Kyrie's birth was a tragedy, as his mother died in childbirth and his hafling village was raided by goblins on the night of his birth. The village survived the raid and lo and behold the child was marked with a tattoo of a butterfly on his cheek. Thus, he was marked as a chosen one of Desna. However, Kyrie grew up in poverty so he could not afford a starknife, Desna's chosen weapon. Instead, the halfling became a devoted warrior of the halfling slingstaff, practicing many hours and studying religion in the mornings. Eventually, his wanderlust caused him to leave his village and travel to Sandpoint, where he arrived on the eve of a church dedication to Desna. In a scene of deja vu, another goblin raid soon disrupted the proceedings, and Kyrie was thrust into preventing a goblin invasion along with several other companions. Eventually, Kyrie and his friends stopped a giant incursion into the region and stormed a Stone Giant's hold. Unfortunately, only Kyrie and the wizard survived the final battle. With no more companions to seek out the Runelord's haven, Kyrie returned to Varisia to sell his treasures and plan out his next move. Lo and behold, fate led him to two other wealthy adventurers selling and buying items - men who looked of power who could help him with the Runelord, after he perhaps helped them.

I borrowed heavily from the Rise of the Runelords Campaign...hope that it not an issue.

I have a few more thousand gold to spend on gear, some memorized spells to pick, and to implement background skills, but otherwise my application should be complete.

I am applying with a halfling warpriest of Desna. I need to work on background and how he met party. He is ranged damage dealer with his halfling staff and can serve as secondary buffer and healer.

Backstory:
Kyrie Swiftstrike was not born to be a swashbuckler. In fact, he was born quite poor in the city of Silverymoon and lived with his mother. He was fascinated by magic at a young age, especially that of the High Lady and the other powerful wizards in the city. In fact, he tried to apprentice himself to one of the wizards, but his intelligence was deemed slightly above average and he was rejected a number of times. Giving up on his dream to earn more money to help his mother, fate intervened when one night, he spotted a stranger being assaulted by some drunken thugs. Always a noble creature, Kyrie stepped in front of the cloaked figure to protect him, all of his 3'2" size in meager display. This caused a chuckle to rise from the thugs but a sense of gratitude from the stranger that such a meager creature would defend him. The stranger quickly dispatched the thugs with his rapier with such a skill set the likes of which Kyrie had never seen. He found the stranger's gracious moves so inspiring he apprenticed himself to the man of 40 years, Domenico Cusato, immediately, who took the young impressionable halfling under his wing. Kyrie was allowed to train in any weapon he chose and knowing he would never be a master with the rapier, he chose the scimitar for its curved nature. 10 years later, Domenico passed to the next life and Kyrie lost his master. The witty and extremely charming halfling is now the master, having defeated much evil in the world. He travels the countryside now defending the weak and looking to instruct a student, as he was taught. He lives rather moderately, with only a couple of hundred gold pieces remaining from his life savings. Kyrie realizes he may need to continue adventuring to afford the villa where he will retire.

Appearance:
I posted a pic previously - he is lithe, graceful, and quite charming. He is always joking in battle, trying to demean and unfocus his opponent. He is a noble soul, trying to always help the weak and the oppressed. He is garbed only in ceremonial armor and carries a mirrored buckler on his off-hand. He is quite deadly and graceful in combat.

Here is my halfling swashbuckler (crunch in profile). Still working on background.
Appearance is more like 3' tall version of this: Pic
