Must have come from down on the surface.” Once he has relayed the information, he cautiously approaches the figure, remaining out of arm’s reach just to be safe, opening a comm channel. ”Hey, you okay?”

K’teskt opens up a communications channel with the rest of the group. ”Two hours isn’t enough to explore the whole ship. Doesn’t seem like we have any way to tell if there are more of those zombies on board, but that’s a risk we’ll have to take. I say we split up: I can go to engineering with someone else, and hopefully get the power back online. Everyone else can check out the life signature.”

"Just my luck. I'm having some trouble accessing the HVAC systems. If anyone else wants to have a go, I'd appreciate it." After failing to restore atmosphere to the other ship, K'teskt will try again if he can can't remember the retry rules, and if not then he draws his rifle and follows Fenrus.

Looks like there’s a group of people in space suits on the hull of the ship.”

A dark blue shirren wearing formal attire enters the room, his antennae flicking side to side and introduces himself telepathically. ”Hi everyone, I’m K’teskt.” He takes a seat, and muses ”So, if we didn’t screw anything up, seems like the Colonel has something special in mind for us…” He trails off.

Scene:
"Alright, Tketh, let's run mark C-29 through the simulation again." K'teskt was slumped over his desk, trying to iron out the glitches from a new security drone by putting it in a HAC. However, just like the versions before it, three or four minutes in it glitched and tried to follow two entities at once and it crashed into a wall. He glanced at the clock in Tketh's HUD. It read 22:47. He was supposed to get off at 17:00. Tketh chipped in. «Kit, at this point, staying here isn't going to improve the drone. You can come back tomorrow.» ::There is that new Vercean place I've been meaning to try for a while now… ah, why not.:: K'teskt got up, turning off the lights and powering down the HAC. Twenty minutes and a trip on a crowded gravtrain later, he was standing in line at Kib's Vercean Sandwich. After a while, he sat down with his pulled pork sandwich. It tasted just like his old favourite from when he was little and he and his father lived on Verces. It reminded K'teskt of his childhood friend Tketh, for whom his AI companion was named. ::Good times.:: But those days were gone now. Saying a brief prayer to his father quietly, K'teskt walked back to the gravtrain stop. By the time he got back home, it was only a few minutes until midnight. Grumbling under his breath at himself about how he was killing himself with self-imposed overtime, he got into his bed and went to sleep.


Backstory and character sheet are finished on this profile. As someone who is carrying 5 + 8L bulk and becomes encumbered at 6, I hope there isn't too much heavy loot.
