Krenrath put the bottle away once more. This time looking at Bydar. "Being unaware of a threat is dangerous. If you are not vigilant or guarded then you give your enemy advantage. They have had a month to move about without concern or suspicion. To gather information on our people, us, and our resources. As well as allies such as the Sootscale whom they are now aware of to be in conflict with the gray dwarves who in turn could be possible allies to them. As well as the source of the silver with little work. They know of Oleg's post and the temple, far easier targets then us I would add. Informing the council would have done no harm, allowing the council to remain in ignorance may cost us." He picks up a piece from the chess set, turning it over in his fingers as his eyes shift over to it. "If it threatens Corbenic, it deserves the attention of the council. The decision to withhold that information is no one's to make. Otherwise what is the point of the council to begin with if we operate autonomously. We each play our part and hold influence in our chosen field but it is as a part of a whole. Or have I been misinformed?" Suddenly he removes a slim tome from his robe, placing it on the table before him. "That reminds me, I have newly discovered something that could alter the entire region." He picks up the tome once more placing it half way back into his robe. Leaving only a corner sticking out from the folds of his robes. "Then again I may choose to report back in a month's time when I have more information. It may be better if I take upon myself if such is the way of things." His tone is contemplative not provocative in the least. He picks up another piece while placing the other back, running a long finger down it's polished figure and grooves.

Well with my new found fortune I am crafting a cloak of resistance +1 and headband of vast intelligence +2 for Krenrath and he will be broke once more. Let me know if anyone wants anything crafted. DM: So once more where do I find spells to add to my spellbook? I got the gold to copy some but no where to copy from. I doubt there are many wizards in the wild and I can't teach new ones if I only have a handful of spells myself. xP
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
Krenrath was looking at the kyonin wine again. Studying the bottle as he spoke. "You became aware of this a month ago and chose not to inform the council. Why?" Despite the directness of the question his gaze did not waver from the bottle, now being swished slightly to gauge the reaction of the liquid through the glass container.
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
Oh sorry I thought the price given was it's cost, which you double for market. But other way around it seems, really should just say market price rather then base price. It throws me off. So Raxus is right 2307 gp market price, each PC gets 230 gp and 7 sp then. Thought it was a little off too that's why I held on adding it to my sheet. x3
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
Krenrath turns his masked face towards Raxus, saying nothing for a moment then speaks. "Congratulations, I was unaware you with a litter or female. I suppose they are healthy if your are here. How many did you birth?" There is no hint of amusement in his tone only idle curiosity.
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
Alright added the items and my share of the gold to my sheet. Also put in stuff from the tatzlwyrm encounter so revising my loot list concerning money and NPC stash a bit. Sense it was never decided what we did with the body I am leaving it as is. Also do we get full value when selling magic items or 50%? Updated Stuff: Money per PC

Krenrath takes the box while looking it over. "Thanks but Nethys worshipers are few in the river kingdoms, that may or may not change. Still I respect Nethys and this statuette is very useful as a focus for certain spells. No doubt something he was aware of. Personally I worship Qi Zhong, an unknown god among the inner sea. Perhaps one day that will change." He holds the elven wine for a moment, staring at it. Then places it back with the other items as he sets the box down to one side of him. "Is their a certain reason you have called this council as there seems to be extra measures in place. Or would you rather wait for the others before saying anything?"
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
Just a thought but you know I think we should keep the tatzlwyrm claw daggers as sort of special service rewards or part of holding a position. Maybe place a symbol of the office it is tied to on them, later they can be enchanted with abilities useful for said office. The left overs can be given out and personalized as needed to anyone of the kingdom that distinguishes themselves through service. Or maybe it is a pointless detail. Like I said just a thought. x3 Edit- Take it easy Arianna sounds like a nasty fever. Hope you get better.
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
Is everyone agreed on the list I proposed for loot dispersement? Btw also looked up our tatzlwyrm encounter. Here is what we got. Large Tatzlwyrm:
Additionally, it's claws and fangs could be crafted into daggers. There is enough material for 14 daggers. Smaller Tatzlwyrms (each):
There are enough claws and fangs for 6 daggers each. There were two of the smaller ones. Plus it lead us to a pit with coins and gems worth 3,450 gp. Which as far as I know we never did anything with. P.S. Why do I feel like an accountant right now. xP
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
Krenrath noticed the extra measures on his way in. Something he found strange but then again it was no doubt involved in the meeting. He wondered if his own proposals would be effected. Once with in he took a seat and waited, he sported a half black half white mask today.

*Depends on DM confirmation that they are divine and not arcane. They did come off a cleric after all.
Now that I am thinking about it didn't we do something to the body of a Tatzlwyrm? Don't forget Krenrath can craft wondrous items, he won't charge council members anything but cost. If he gets to many request he will make a waiting list dependent on first come first serve or ease of creation. ;) Bydar: Something that I totally forgot, did Bydar give Krenrath the items Arumil left behind yet?
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
Bydar already claimed the book as it is both religious and heal skill related. Both useless to me. As for the scrolls unless I am mistaken they are divine in nature so I can't use them for anything as well. You may want to take the wish list into account concerning loot as that was the point of making them. So going to disagree on where some of the loot goes. P.S. Will post what I think later, late lunch and so very hungry. x3
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
A few things. I would rather we held a council meeting sense Krenrath has to propose his spellcaster testing, education system, and discovery to the others. Also want to remind everyone that Krenrath can craft magic items and sense each phase is a month he has plenty of time to work on stuff. Lastly I feel like a recording but it does need to be addressed otherwise I will take it all for myself sense I would not mind certain items and I can use the money to craft. xP Loot Pile:
+1 scythe cloak of resistance +1 ring of protection +1 Potion of cure light wounds x2 Scroll of bear's endurance (3rd CL) Scroll of hold person (3rd CL) Alchemical silver dagger A leather book wrapped in oily cloth MISC equipment from the bandits (non-magical):
Magical equipment:
Akiros' magical gear:
Special items:
Stag's Helm (worn by Stag Lord)
---------- The group also finds additional treasure and material in crates and boxes, including 10 longbows, 260 arrows, 5 short swords, 5 spears, four 50-foot lengths of hemp rope, a set of chisels, 2 hammers, 3 tins of iron nails, and 4 suits of leather armor. Other boxes contain mundane trade goods like pelts, furs, tobacco, iron, bronze, miscellaneous weapons and armor (none masterwork or magic), and miscellaneous adventuring gear and tools. in total, these items are worth a combined total of 6,850 gp. (Some boxes are marked with Oleg's symbol; returning his goods to him reduces the value by 2,000 gp) In addition, one chest contains 4,500 cp, 2,052 sp, 894 gp, and 21 pp, while a large bag contains 2,900 gp in various pieces of stolen jewelry.
If I remember right only Bydar claimed anything and it was the evil book. Oleg's stuff was returned and the rest faded into the background until now. You know some of this stuff could even be used for our budding city, such as the non magical equipment from the bandits given to our city guard. P.S. DM sent you a PM
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
DM:
Are drawbacks allowed? Also can I change my non-AP trait sense a lot of new ones came out sense he was built or rather that I had access to. Sent you a PM too.
For Happs and Yiv scouting I would vote for caution over speed. Krenrath would also want them to focus south-southeast if no other direction is desired. ;) P.S. I tend not to read spoilers that don't involve my character. So let me know if I am supposed to be looking in on someone's spoiler.
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
DM:
I may have forgot to tell you or maybe it was not apparent. But Krenrath is more religiously active then Arumil, just not in the traditional sense like everything else about him. x) There was a reason Arumil left his statuette and why Krenrath is even trying to seek out spellcasters to begin with. Not to mention the mask you know. It ties into his desire to serve Nethys among other things. As far as I know the only requirement to be a priest of Nethys is being able to use magic. Also Nethys' temple are not united as that is not their way. It is more like their temples claim area's. It is not uncommon for two temples to not have the same goals or even be against one another. I just did not want to assume that their are no temples to Nethys in the stolen lands. Truth be told as far as I know from PF the nearest Nethys temple is in Numeria. Would Krenrath like a temple to Nethys and spread his teachings, yes he would. But what Nethys cares about is magic more then anything, even worshipers. So that is higher on Krenrath's list. You should check out the article about Nethys in The Thousand Fangs Below if you can. He is a unique god which is why half of what you describe as clergy duty does not quite fit and why Krenrath is going about it the way he is. He does not really need anyone's permission or approval to be a priest. If he met a lower level cleric from a temple in Nex he would still out rank him sense both his magic and knowledge is greater. Some priest in fact do not even belong to temples. Let me know how you want to handle it. I do have a spot for a temple to Nethys but we have not found that spot yet now have we. So focusing on possible worshipers sense Nethys rejects those without magic. Gotta start at the foundation. ;)
Good with all that, nice that we will have spare room for new arrivals. By the way Krenrath can craft wondrous magical items so if anyone want's something made just ask and I will see what I can do.
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
As for how he gets the information out there. I think everyone should be aware of the council members and their duties. If not then Bydar should at least set up an introduction of some sort, I would suggest a feast of welcoming and new beginnings for everyone. But I guess I should do more then advise a party. ;) Krenrath would find/hire a few criers and make up some pamphlets not only for the education system but also for the service of helping those with magical talents or problems. After all that does fall under his duties and he would not want anything like witch burnings going around. He would also consult with someone with a good diplomacy (Arianna if she has the time) to spin it in an appealing or at least nonthreating manner sense most people have misconceptions or superstitions concerning magic. Let me know how that sounds and if you need more.
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
On my phone so bare with me. I won't be able to post everything that needs to be addressed. Krenrath is the Magister, the way I read it all magic falls under his perview not just the arcane kind. Let me know if that is not the case. As for the church of Nethys, their priest do not have to be clerics or even divine casters. Any spellcasting worshiper can be a priest and normally the most powerful (evil leaning) or the most knowledgeable (good leaning) member leads. Krenrath's position does not hurt etheir.
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
Krenrath does not have to convince anyone to take the test. For children it will be part of their basic education lessons, so their parents can be informed of their potential. As for adults they can take it if they want. Learning magic takes time and dedication so if they have no interest in it then they would not be able to learn it regardless of their intelligence. Their is also the fact that magical training normally cost a great deal. The cost would be cut down a good bit from the norm now. In the future that will change as their are more spellcasters, so they have the chance to get in on the ground floor if they want. As for faith magic, could you rephrase the question. I don't get what your asking about?
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
I have a few ideas but only as much as you give me. ;) I figured unless they can control their power their is magical "leak off" from casters with innate magic such as sorcerer's, oracles, and others like that. A detect magic should show an aura for them and a spellcraft check to confirm the nature of that magic. As for those that require training to gain magic or magic related abilities (such as alchy's) a simple IQ test of a unique sort that Krenrath will make up. Sense intelligence is a key stat for most of them. Magic related to established faiths is left mostly up to the churches so long as they don't fall under his gaze. Krenrath shares overseeing that with the High Priest and respects other religions to govern their own. Except the Nethys clergy which he oversees himself due to both his position and being the most knowledge member around (that we know of). Let me know what you think of these ideas.
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
Wizards and the like take years to train. Sorcerers and the like are often dangerous if not guided. That is why he wants the selection test as it would help out in the long run. It's more to see who has potential in what then any kind of recruitment. Spontaneous spellcasters are often persecuted against due to a lack of understanding, so identifying them is good all around. Explain why they may have scales or the ability to summon lights etc etc.
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
My vote in terms of order. Settlement Improvements 1- Food Storage
Terrain Improvements 1- Bridges
Council Request 1- Warden
On a personal note as Magister, if Krenrath was given the job that is. He would want to organize a basic education program for citizens and/or their children. As well as a selection test to see who has the talent/intelligence to become a mage. ;)
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
Well you could go off the sentence in Blood of Angels, it's the newest book with aasimar I think, that says they live slightly longer then their base race. In your case human, but the number tied with slightly would be up to the DM I guess. In Krenrath's case it's not an issue sense slightly in anyway for an elf is a lot. xP
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
Krenrath nodded as if everything else had not happened in front of him. "Indeed. I believe the proper term is Megaloceros. They are more commonly known as great elks or giant elks. Not that those names are completely true but I will not bore you with such details of correct names and such."
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
Krenrath suddenly snaps his fingers with surprising force and sound. "Mr. Jhod if you like elk's you may wish to meet Suro. He is very proud but with good reason. His rack has grown larger then any season pass. No doubt he will mourn greatly when he sheds them. Still if he likes you, you may just convince him to part with them upon their fall." It is unsure if Krenrath is covering for Raxus or was not paying attention. His mask gives away nothing. ^.^
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
I am guessing Krenrath gets none of that. xP That reminds me we have not been paying much attention to our loot pile. It has gotten a little big. Here is a reminder, feel free to correct me on anything. Knowledge (Nobility) vs DC 12: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 Krenrath listens mostly. Remembering something he speaks. "You know oaths are not light things in the river kingdoms or to it's people. No one would like such a requirement, some may even be hostile to the idea. It may be because it steps on their freedom or could be no likes to be considered an oathbreaker for something so open ended. Maybe I should study it." He starts to ramble off topic and more to himself over time. Getting into the social graces of river elk, who as everyone should know have no need of oaths. Open spoiler, ignore his ramblings. ;)
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
Krenrath grabs the rein's of Suro, the great elk eyes the guards as it is lead in. Snorting at them in challenge with out Krenrath paying any mind. Once with in the gates he speaks. "He told me little of you or the others. Mostly of the state of things upon his departure. Also despite the fall of the local bandit lord, their is still much danger left and mapping to be done. I am sure their is much for you to share with me. Yet that is all I know concerning your endeavors." He keeps looking around. Perception DC 10:
You notice an emerald inlaid with jade brooch, a strange design surrounding the oak center piece, on Krenrath. Something very out of place on the odd man, as none of his other possessions show signs of wealth such as that item. Only if perception is passed
Knowledge (Geography or Nature) DC 20:
The strange design is a bamboo forest, a plant only found naturally in far off Tian Xia. It is largely unknown much less seen outside that location across the crown of the world. Hope I did not step on the DM's toes. I am sure I will regret it if I did. xP
Male Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Wood Elementalist 4
He stares at Bydar for a moment. "Krenrath Valirin" He dismounts with ease off the great elk. He bows low or so it seemed, he was looking at a plant near his feet for a few moments. Finally rising once more he looks around at everything while speaking. "I have come in place of Arumil Amaim. Due to certain matters he will not return for some time, likely not in your life time. He has passed the matter of his place over to me as I accepted." He turned to Bydar. "Am I welcome or to remain outside the post?"
