Kogar beams a smile at everyone when Cyrus gives him praise. Quickly after he sets to work with the others making camp. Survival to Assist: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15 Awwww... Kogar says with the tone of someone seeing a sad puppy while looking at Kobad. He walks over and works to build a fire wall to help keep the mage warm. Using bits of fallen wood he builds a reflecting wall on the far side of the fire so that warmth isn't lost to the wind. When that task is complete he pats the mage on the head and sets about to moving snow.

With an almost feral snort of satisfaction Kogar lets the icey hammer disappate into snow. He moves forward and tears a trophy from the beast, hanging it from his belt with a few pieces of leather thong. If the head is salvagable, Kogar is taking that. If not, he'll take a forelimb. I think Tatzlwyrm have forelimbs...

Gah! Kogar shouts as the snow come sto life and attacks him. Gyah! Bad snow! He's attacked a second time before he even has a chance to act. A flurry of motion around him spurs him into motion. From thin air he creates another massive hammer out of ice and brings it down on his foes head. Move action to create 2H mindblade. Expendind Psionic Focus as part of attack action as per Psionic Weapon feat. Mindblade Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Criical Confirmation: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
It looks like Psionic Weapon damage is multiplied on a crit.

Kogar looks from the log to the chest and back again. Quickly enough he shoos the other adventurers away from the chest. Bad box. No touching. When the others have stepped away he pulls a chunk of ice out of thin air and hurls it at the chest. Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Hopefully it's a ranged touch. He's really just trying to jostle the chest and set off the trap.

Yeah. Kogar has some stuff back in town. I'll add it in a new tab in his profile. He did just storm out and i liked that. I wasn't sure if we were heading back to town at some point or not. Does Cold Resistance factor into the checks at all?
Male Half-Giant Soulknife 1; HP 12/12; PP 4/4; Focused; AC 16/11/15; F+3/R+3/W+4; Init. +1; Per. +6
Hmph. Kogar harumphs as Nelosse points out the trap. He walks over to the tree and looks up at the log. Could Kogar rach the log with his two hander? Fortitude: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 Kogar would have cold weather gear, had I remembered to buy him equipment. Mind if I note some of his belongings? He is a simpleton and itcs certainly possible he just left everything at home.

Take whatever time you need Ed. We'll be here. --- Our window for reformatting the party is closing quickly. Are we alright where we stand? Do we need a healer? Do we need something else? We currently have:
Nelosse and I, at least, are willing to rewrite if the party things they need it. I'm not sure how I'd switch Kogar over to another role, other than maybe ranged damage, but I'm happy to do so if it's needed. So, do we need something that we're missing and is there a smooth way to get that person without completely rewriting someone? Ed, Kobad is meant to be ranged damage, correct?

Kogar won't be helping with the appraising. He's more likely to drag the roll down than to help it. Also, it would be out of character for him to really do so. Unless we find something fae related. Then he'd be interested. Not helpful, but interested. Survival: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27 Kogar nods when Nelosse suggests giving chase. [b]Yes. Follow faeries. Kill faeries. Save Lady.[/dice] The last isn't a simpleton generalizing a woman, it's a simpleton using someone's title.

Kogar grins and claps the Kellid on the shoulder, Good! He says concisely, praising the masterful attack. He drops the icy blade he formed, forgetting about it entirely. Without his hand to keep it solid, the blade rapidly breaks down into snow.

1.) Yup! That’s me the Psychic Simpleton.
9.) My favorite color is blue, specifically a royalish blue that’s halfway between sky blue and crayon blue.
Kogar need new Ulfric! ------------------------ Hullo everyone! I’m throwing out another line for a GM. I’m in a great group of players hoping to abate the Reign of Winter. Unfortunately our GM has completely disappeared. He took the time to close all of his campaigns and then hit the highway for parts unknown. We didn’t even get notice that the campaign was going to close. The players would like to continue, if there’s someone out there willing to help us out with that. Here is a link to the campaign itself. We’d love to have you, if you’ll have us. Thanks for reading,

Alright, so we've got Nelosse, Javell, Kobad, Phillip and myself up for continuing, neh? I'm willing to post the call for a new GM. If I haven't seen one go up by the time I'm done lunch (~12:30 EST) I'll put the call out.

It's been weeks since we've heard from Pezmerga. Before that posts were getting sporradic. Do we as a group wish to continue this campaign? If so, do we want to seek out a new GM or hope that whatever has caused this disruption for Pezmerga resolves soon and he comes back around?

The moment seems to hand in the air as the butchered zombie wavers, seemingly ready to topple at any moment. The last time a moment took this long to pass, Kogar became a simpleton. He certainly doesn't want to lose any more intelligence, so he urges it along, bumps it if you would. Fall! he shouts at the undead guard.

Oh sure, Nelosse... Make me look bad by posting right after I say I don't know when you'll be around. Fine... :P Glad to see this thread tends to move along quickly when Pezmerga's around to poke it with a stick.

Round 1
Kogar catches a whiff of one of the zombies and at the same time sees one attack the doctor. Not Ulfric! He charges forward and slams his maul of ice into the nearest of the zombies scrambling to its feet. A flash of cold blue light erupts from the impact. Expending my PsiFocus for Psionic Weapon. Mindblade: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 = 23
At -2AC due to charging.

I'm assuming these are ulfen guardsmen. I might be wrong... but then, Kogar is often wrong. Kogar blinks, confusedly at the people stepping out of the carriage. Ulfric? he asks confusedly. He's obviously not aware of the danger yet. Also, going after zombies? How embarassing...

Kogar huffs a bit as the fire mage seems to object. When he sees that others seem to understand what's happened to he man, he relaxes and releases the offending extremity. Right about then is when he's summoned by Cyrus. He turns and walks away. Looking to back up Syrus should he need it.

If Kogar has iny inkling of an idea that this is a person instead of a statue, he's going to stop Kobad from touching it. That's up to the GM. The following IG stuff may not happen. Ask Pez. Well, I think he does, but that may be too meta. Seems very trope-y. Kogar's hand darts out like a viper, snatching the sorcerer's arm firmly. He looks at kobad and ticks a finger at him, as if an adult scolding a child. Nuh-uh. He's sleeping.

Faeries? Faeries hurt Ulfric? Kogar rumbles and a mug nearby rattles. People standing closeby can feel a vibration in their chest. It's then that they realize the Half-Giant is growling in anger. The air around him grows colder and whatever moisture is in the air condenses into mist. He looks around the room, at those that might be able to help. Ne points at Nelosse You take sword. We find lady. The mist swirls and gathers around Kogar until it condenses at his hand freezing into a giant maul of ice. Without further discussion on his end he stalks out of the inn. We find lady. Help Ulfric. He has no plan. No real idea that he needs one. He steps out the door almost expecting this army to be outside.

Oh, C'mon. You really expect Kogar to puzzle that out? Kogar removes wet clothing from "Ulfric" and warms him as much as he can. He frowns at the nose. Blue? Ulfric take my nose? He puts a hand to his face. No. Still there.
Male Half-Giant Soulknife 1; HP 12/12; PP 4/4; Focused; AC 16/11/15; F+3/R+3/W+4; Init. +1; Per. +6
Ulfric! Kogar bellows and runs over to the Ulfen man. There is recognition in his voice, and concern. He stands at arm's length, looking around the room for someone who can help. Gii! He runs over to the doctor (bowling over a table) and points excitedly at the fallen man. Help Ulfric! Quick. He trails along beside Gii and watches excitedly as the doctor does his work. He wrings his hands nervously as the doctor attempts to concentrate. Need help? Kogar help. Heal (untrained): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 Kogar surprises everyone by apparently knowing a thing or two about frostbite. He deftly moves about the fallen Ulfen man. He repeatedly tells "Ulfric" that he'll be alright. Blanket? I'm not sure what the DC is, so... Kogar seems competent, but his labors may not bear fruit. This is a pretty big deviation from the first iteration of this post, which was just Kogar freaking out and dragging the Doctor over to heal "Ulfric." Seranov, feel free to chalk the Doc's failed roll to Kogar impatiently pushing him aside if you like.

Kogar grins widely at the praise and nods in thanks or assent, it's tough to tell which. With his spirits bolstered by to patron, he walks over to sit by Nelosse. When she is between impressions he waves and says Hi lady. He pauses to consider if he should say more. Awkwardly, he adds Am Kogar!

Kogar emerges from the basement, carrying a butt of ale on his shoulder. The large man looks as if he's suffering from hypothermia even though he sweats with his labors. His blue lips puff as he sets the cask in place for Kale. As he's offered a mug of ale for his services, Kogar gives a huge smile and nods Yah yah. He looks around the room and waves excitedly at everyone he knows as he's offered a large tankard full of ale. He looks around a bit nervously, wondering who he can talk to. Oh! Pretty lady. Kogar thinks as he spots the blonde woman that reminds him of home.

As far as build goes, should I stick with plain old soulknife or take the "Gifted Blade" archetype? it seems like, with his wits stolen, the archetype may be too much for the guy to handle. Then again, everything he does is reflexive. For flavor, I wanted to have the weapon be made of ice that he's shaped with his will. It cannot do Cold damage until a later point (8th level I think), but I like the image. |
