Any news on a mythic sheet, especially a fillable pdf? The book has been out for a couple months now, I was hoping that someone would atleast have put something out by now.

Absolutely not. As far as I know, the sales of the magazines were not a factor in this decision. We're actually very pleased with the sales of the magazines, and in particular with our growing subscriber lists.

B.S. No one junks a magazine because its performance improves. Yes, the corporate folks are being classy about this and not selling each other up the river as the party at fault, but we're not children and deserve to be treated with respect for our dedication to this hobby. Many of us have been playing D&D and supporting these magazines for 30 years and to give us a saccharine-infused press release as a farewell is pathetic, wrong, and unprofessional. Best of luck - I'll buy my gaming gear elsewhere, as now the playing ground has been leveled so that Paizo is just like Goodman Games or anyone else making accessories, instead of providing a valuable service to the communty. I hope WotC stops getting spooked by World of Warcraft and trying to turn everything into web-content...

IIRC The same thing happened with the Star Wars gaming magazine...

Hi there, Several weeks ago I had written an e-mail stating that for some reason I had not received Dungeon issue 130. I figured I would leave a message here, as I had not heard back regarding the e-mail. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Holy Crap.. 62 meg for high res... that'll take me a good 5 hours to download... stupid dialup. This better have the Paizo unreleased swimsuit edition

This is why I never run a series of adventures unless I have ALL the information... that way I'm never relying on anybody but myself.

Which is why I'm starting shackled city now...

AND...

I love monkies

I'm downloading it now... God.. I hope there are monkies.

To be clear, I meant that the approval process could take as little as 10 minutes, not the actual posting of the file to the site.

The file is at WotC now, basically waiting for our contact to read the copyright information on the first page and give the thumbs up. I expect this to come first thing Friday morning, but since tomorrow is a company picnic day for WotC, it's possible that it could drag on to Monday.

Everything is ready to go. The minute we know, you'll know.

But that would require geeks to go out in sunlight... I think we'll get it on friday...

of course... here's the question of the year... how's paizo's bandwidth when everyone is downloading this at the same time?

How exactly will you react, if once again, it fails to come out on time.

I will relieve myself in Eric's breakfast cereal.

I wonder if that will make the Captain Crunch softer...

Items Shipping from Barnes & Noble.com
Shipping Method: Standard Delivery

This part of your order is expected to ship on August 27, 2005

I wonder if I cancel this item, if they will screw me with the shipping charges for something less than 25 dollars (free shipping on 25 or more) already shipped, that I wouldn't have bought there, had I not ordered Shackled City... my butt feels tender.. I don't even get a nice bookplate cuz I was stupid and went for the cheaper price from a "reputable dealer"...

We regret to inform you that our supplier has changed the release date on the pre-ordered merchandise listed below.

Riiight. Of course, as you know, we've changed nothing. According to the story we heard, Barnes and Noble lists nearly everything with an ISBN, and if anybody orders something that they haven't actually picked up, *then* they try to figure out how to get it. So hopefully your e-mail means that Paizo, or one of our distributors, will be getting a call soon...

Ugh.. I figured I would goto B&N because I had a discount card and a coupon... why not eh?.. I didn't figure their business practices would that of.. "pay us to order it for you".. rather than.. "pay us to ship our already existing product".. Gee.. I hope I get it before Gen Con..

i'm guessing that B&N are all sold out.

We've heard a rumor that they list anything with an ISBN, whether they actually order any copies or not. I'd be interested to know if anybody actually sucessfully purchased a copy from them.

I have also been waiting for Amazon, I'll give em a few more weeks. It's now available (for preorder, out July 28th) at BarnesAndNoble's website (for 20% off). The ISBN is 0977007103.

I dunno if this is against any rules or anything.. if it is please remove.. but I just ordered mine through B&N, and I found an online coupon good for 5 bucks off orders over 50 dollars, plus free shipping.. here's the code "XPR9PTN". So if you wanted to pick up another book or something.

Just thought I'd share the wealth since it seemed okay to talk about prices and purchasing outside of paizo.

The coupon expires on the 31st tho..

Greyhawk Map #: South-west

Section of South-west Map: Top right corner.

In the corner, find "Nyr Dyv" lake, then find the "Midbay" label inside the lake. The town of Diamond Lake is two hexes south of "Midbay", at the top of the "Mistmarsh" swamp.

Hi... I am also really new to greyhawk, and the only resource I have as far as maps.. is the Living Greyhawk Gazatteer... I feel like I'm looking in the right area of Cairn Hills.. but I'm not seeing Diamond Lake... Maybe I'm missing something.. or I need the dungeon maps for this.

As I've been reading Worms, I've more and more been wanting to run it. But being unfamilier with greyhawk in general, I've been kind of hesitant. I'm an ol' FR pro, who hasn't been really raised up on anything else.

Though, I do not want to run Worms in Forgotten Realms, because I really dislike altering adventures to fit a different campaign setting then what it was set for, I would however like to use some of the elements of FR in the game.

I would like to kind of run a quasi-green regent style with characters belonging to a particular region, thus gaining the benifits of that region. In doing this, I would start out letting characters only have access to the core rules, and whatever their region allows them. Then as they progress, they could unlock more things (spells, feats ect.. ) from the other books at a rate of 1 per level. I would also like to include campaign cards like RPGA does, which would have some extra bonuses, for which they could only have 1 per level.

So, my problem is.. does greyhawk have regions that are defined like forgotten realms, giving them regional feats, and bonus starting equipment?

I thought this would give the characters a more unique background.

Any suggestions?

Also on a side note, having never known about shackled city until I saw age of worms (was only really a purchaser of dragon), is age of worms a sequel to shackled city, and if so, would it be more interesting for the player to run shackled city then start a new campaign with worms?

(Suggestion for Dungeon)

Maybe the next adventure path might be set for the forgotten realms?

Thanks for any help...

I was really disappointed when I received mine in the mail about a month ago. I had heard that they were the greatest thing since sliced bread, and I was hoping they were going to be more detailed. But when I got them, I had really 2 major problems. One, the maps didn't line up with each other, and two, it's just one friggin big map of the one you get in the forgotten realms campaign guide. Hoody hoo. My eyesight isn't bad, and I was hoping since it was a bigger map, it would have more detail. Nope, It's just an enlarged version of the one in the campaign guide. bollucks.

Lots of rules for what you don't care about, poor rules for what you do.

1/5

I'm going to say this straight up; if you want this book to make a shapeshifter, make a druid or a hunter instead. No, seriously, your party will thank you.

The Shifter is hobbled from the moment it gets Wild Shape, an ability you would expect it to excel at. They are limited to forms that match the Aspects they know, which means that at level 20 you will have 5 available animal forms to change into. THAT'S NOT A TYPO. For comparison, druids, in addition to their 9th level spells, have 0 limitations on what they can change into, whereas the class built around the concept of changing shapes can't manage more than 5 at their peak. Hunters with the Feral Hunter archetype always apply their Focus and can shape into any animal. The reason I mention their Focus always being on, is that the Shifter is not so fortunate. Their Aspects are 3+level minutes per day, and like the Hunter the physical boosters are enhancements, so they need to be turned on to keep up with the other martial characters.

The archetypes for the Shifter have some interesting concepts, but are generally of NPC-quality stock (some have ridiculously low per day usages) and need some errata already.

As for the rest of the book, it's your standard Paizo fare of useful and useless feats, a wide variety of archetypes for the other (better) classes, and more rules about the minutia of nature and the wilderness than a DM could dare dream of.
