This part of your order is expected to ship on August 27, 2005 I wonder if I cancel this item, if they will screw me with the shipping charges for something less than 25 dollars (free shipping on 25 or more) already shipped, that I wouldn't have bought there, had I not ordered Shackled City... my butt feels tender.. I don't even get a nice bookplate cuz I was stupid and went for the cheaper price from a "reputable dealer"... ![]()

I dunno if this is against any rules or anything.. if it is please remove.. but I just ordered mine through B&N, and I found an online coupon good for 5 bucks off orders over 50 dollars, plus free shipping.. here's the code "XPR9PTN". So if you wanted to pick up another book or something. Just thought I'd share the wealth since it seemed okay to talk about prices and purchasing outside of paizo. The coupon expires on the 31st tho.. ![]()

![]() As I've been reading Worms, I've more and more been wanting to run it. But being unfamilier with greyhawk in general, I've been kind of hesitant. I'm an ol' FR pro, who hasn't been really raised up on anything else. Though, I do not want to run Worms in Forgotten Realms, because I really dislike altering adventures to fit a different campaign setting then what it was set for, I would however like to use some of the elements of FR in the game. I would like to kind of run a quasi-green regent style with characters belonging to a particular region, thus gaining the benifits of that region. In doing this, I would start out letting characters only have access to the core rules, and whatever their region allows them. Then as they progress, they could unlock more things (spells, feats ect.. ) from the other books at a rate of 1 per level. I would also like to include campaign cards like RPGA does, which would have some extra bonuses, for which they could only have 1 per level. So, my problem is.. does greyhawk have regions that are defined like forgotten realms, giving them regional feats, and bonus starting equipment? I thought this would give the characters a more unique background. Any suggestions? Also on a side note, having never known about shackled city until I saw age of worms (was only really a purchaser of dragon), is age of worms a sequel to shackled city, and if so, would it be more interesting for the player to run shackled city then start a new campaign with worms? (Suggestion for Dungeon) Maybe the next adventure path might be set for the forgotten realms? Thanks for any help... ![]()
![]() I was really disappointed when I received mine in the mail about a month ago. I had heard that they were the greatest thing since sliced bread, and I was hoping they were going to be more detailed. But when I got them, I had really 2 major problems. One, the maps didn't line up with each other, and two, it's just one friggin big map of the one you get in the forgotten realms campaign guide. Hoody hoo. My eyesight isn't bad, and I was hoping since it was a bigger map, it would have more detail. Nope, It's just an enlarged version of the one in the campaign guide. bollucks. No, seriously, your party will thank you. The Shifter is hobbled from the moment it gets Wild Shape, an ability you would expect it to excel at. They are limited to forms that match the Aspects they know, which means that at level 20 you will have 5 available animal forms to change into. THAT'S NOT A TYPO. For comparison, druids, in addition to their 9th level spells, have 0 limitations on what they can change into, whereas the class built around the concept of changing shapes can't manage more than 5 at their peak. Hunters with the Feral Hunter archetype always apply their Focus and can shape into any animal. The reason I mention their Focus always being on, is that the Shifter is not so fortunate. Their Aspects are 3+level minutes per day, and like the Hunter the physical boosters are enhancements, so they need to be turned on to keep up with the other martial characters. The archetypes for the Shifter have some interesting concepts, but are generally of NPC-quality stock (some have ridiculously low per day usages) and need some errata already. As for the rest of the book, it's your standard Paizo fare of useful and useless feats, a wide variety of archetypes for the other (better) classes, and more rules about the minutia of nature and the wilderness than a DM could dare dream of. |
