Sheer numbers are going to count for far less than you assume they do. TEO is weak. It has weak leadership, weak membership, weak ideals, and a weak spirit. I have no fear of what you sheep have turned TEO into.
Big talk from the guy we just ousted. The Northern Coalition was created because PAX fears the s+&@ out of us, and as well they should.

I would be surprised if you were a member of TEO and not an outsider looking to instigate tensions between TEO and Pax/T7V with your arrogant and rude taunts. If you are someone who is apart of TEO and this is your genuine effort to help TEO in some fashion, I question your judgement and suggest you seek advice from someone you trust via PM's. Cheatle may be a good candidate if the two of you are in fact truly friends.

Congratulations to the citizens of the settlements Aragon, Golgotha, Callambea and Freevale! That is quite a diverse population that puts you in a great position of strength!

I think the biggest issue that caused those threads to devolve into personal attacks is the fact that people were allowed to question the motives of the posters. People also stated how much weight their voice has due to how well known they are. When a person states "People should listen to me because I'm so reasonable and well known", it leads to "Don't listen to him, he has an ulterior motive and is being disingenuous". Instead of debating the topic it turns into debating the posters. I believe this goes against the spirit of Crowd Forging. Those comments should be moderated and removed.

As a caveat, I feel this only applies when a thread starts out or is designated very early on that it intends to be used as a Crowd Forging thread. Doing it halfway through the thread is too late. In normal threads it should be expected that your motives will be questioned and players should be expected to counter that without moderators help. I feel the moderators have done a great job of stepping in only when people have crossed the line into personal attacks. I also feel the community has done a great job of setting their own boundaries and admonishing those who do not follow them.

Guessing people's true motives and trying to convince others of yours is apart of a nation building game.

Just my two cents!

With the exception of a few outliers, I've been impressed with how civil and interesting the threads have been on these boards. Considering how dedicated the majority are to the well being of the game, it makes sense, though.

It can't hurt if everyone makes a special effort to not feed the trolls and remain positive, though. Nice post!

While I'm not in Alpha, that's awesome for those who are! And that much closer to EE for the rest of us!

Since so much talk is about perspective from people who may not have been actively following these forums for very long, I figured I'd share my thoughts as I belong to that group.

When I first started lurking I didn't realize there was another faction of Pax. It wasn't until I saw some references that didn't make sense that I looked into it and found there was an LE and an LN subsets. It wasn't until very recently that I found out Golgotha was formed and created as a separate entity before joining Pax. Even to date I was a bit confused on who represented Aeternum and who represented Golgotha since everyone had a Pax tag. I picked up some people's affiliation through their posts and could have learned more if I took the time to research rosters. It is very helpful separating the tags though, so thank you to those that are!

I like the idea of people choosing to vote for the guild they are aligned with and I'm happy TEO has taken that route. At the same time I have no ill will towards Golgotha and Aeternum. While Rawn's quote may have lacked some context, I don't believe they are doing anything to intentionally harm the game or go against the spirit of the landrush. If Golgotha was formed before joining Pax with the full intention of forming their own settlement, they should be free to do so. If they really wanted to game the system I believe they would have gone for the third settlement they are vying for in the future and funneled votes to them. I feel they are attempting to act in good faith in a landrush that threw them a few curveballs and put them in an awkward situation.

I understand the confusion regarding Golgotha and Aeternum for people new to the forums, and I thank everyone for helping to clear it up. At least for me that is!

Also, I feel obligated to say everything in this post is a personal opinion and not reflected on TEO's official stance. I hold no leadership positions in TEO :)

Hi,

Kirane from TEO here. Long time lurker, first time poster.

I'm a backer from the kickstarter and will be joining the first month of EE.

It's refreshing to see such a positive community compared to other MMO's I've played. Things like forumbane were fun but anything but positive. I have high hopes for this game and I'm really looking forward to it!
