Hey, posting will be spotty for the next few weeks. New job is making us work a lot of overtime right now, and I'm basically passing out as soon as I get home. I'll post when I can, and my brain isn't fuzzy, but bot me if needed.
Surprised but delighted to get a message from the beautiful Shurami while relaxing in his suite, Kindu was quick to reply. 《I haven't had this much fun since shooting Killer Maws 5! While I wish that I had more limelight, I have to admit that I'm still getting used to real, non-staged fights. But, practice makes perfect, as my old vocal coach liked to say!》 Thinking back over the fight, the strange hieroglyphics under the warehouse popped into mind. 《One thing does stand out, though. Do you know of any old ruins under the city? The group we fought were digging a basement and came across a room filled with strange writing along the wall.》
Also, what was the loot dispersal after everything's said and done? Other than ammo, I don't really want anything we found.
As they looked around the strange room underneath the warehouse, all Kindu could think about was one of his movies. "This almost looks like the ruins they made for my movie Ruins of Terror, where I played an archaeologist hunting down mystical artifacts for the museum I worked for," he said, studying the writing on the walls. "I'll definitely have to bring this up with Shurami the next time meet." Making their way out with prisoner in tow, Kindu turned to the rest. "I would like to thank you all for your assistance today. Truly we make a great team, and I know that I can count on all of you for any future trouble we come across. Now, let's go turn in these two miscreants and celebrate a job well done! First round's on me!"
Sorry, sorry! Good news is that I have officially found a new job! Bad news is that it's half day/half night, so I'll be posting at weird times. Will now go get caught up in gameplay!
Shuddering as the universal energy he tapped into slowly bled off, Kindu let out a sigh and looked around. "Please tell me you got all of my epic lines, Scrambles," he said with a tired grin. The wounds gathered during the fight slowly filtered through the draining adrenaline and caused him to hunch over slightly. Giving a grunt, Kindu walked over to the hole in the ground that Padre hand called down into and looked over to the others. "Once more unto the breech, then?"
Sorry, going through a rough patch right now. Just lost my job, so posts will be a bit sporadic as I try to find a new job.
As the wounds started piling up, Kindu found himself breathing hard but still grinning. The aura around him started to flutter, pulsing rapidly with increasing speed before flaring around around him in a fiery blast. "Yes YES! Feel the flames of defeat as they rush you towards the end!"
"Yes yes, your resistance is futile!" Kindu yelled as the weapon struck. Giving out an excited shout, his glowing blade lashed out once more.
As his foot kicked the door hard enough to bounce back off of the warehouse wall, an orange aura all but exploded around Kindu's body. "By the orders of the Peacemakers, you have the right to GET DOWN AND DIE!" he yelled out, looking at the various ruffians and the vesk running around.
Kindu rushed forward, barely hearing the bantrid's words. Something must have gotten through, though, as his wild swing went wide when he neared one of the young ruffians.
"I am Kindu Rassi, former action star A-lister, 5 time Teen Star Weekly Most Stunning Smile winner, and now law enforcer in this grand city," Kindu said grandly as they made their way to the evil lair of evil doing. "And I must say that it is a pleasure to work with true professionals!" As they approached the coordinates, Kindu scratched his head. "Huh, this loks a lot like the villain's lair in my vid From Castrovel With Love," he said quietly, looking around for anything that might be watching them.
I'm actually being completely serious, though. Our characters never actually introduced each other. He honestly has no idea what your names are.
Well, I'm having a ton of fun!
Kindu shrugged his shoulders. "Well, it doesn't help that we haven't exactly had an introduction," he said casually. "I honestly don't know the name of any of you."
"Scrambles has a point, the ones that watch this kind of program, especially just starting out, aren't exactly the brightest knife in the bowl, if you catch my meaning," Kindu said with a shrug. Looking around at the group, he considered what he's briefly seen of their skills. Pointing at Jink, he said, "You there, Ysoki 1, you seem like a sneaky sort of fella, think you'd be up for sneaking into the hideout to scout around first?"
As he watched the man run off, Kindu corrected Glitch as to the name of their employer before turning to Scrambles. "Scrambles, I was thinking about a name for the show. What do you think about 'Lawman: Peace In Prosperity'?"
I think I might be one of the only ones to wear heavy armor, and I already have a set of ringmail.
I'll take one of those pistols so I can do something in battle besides talk and move forward. And it seems like the creds will split to an even hundred for each of us if my count is accurate.
"Very good, son," Kindu said, all but patting the man on his head. "Like my friend here said, you go turn yourself in while we go have a talk with this Padre of yours, and think about making some positive changes in your life."
At the cessation of hostilities, the aura surrounding the slightly manic Kindu abruptly fell, leaving him slightly confused for a moment. Shaking his head to get rid of the fuzzy feeling, he walked confidently over to the surrendered minion. "Tell me where I can talk to the Padre, and I'll be sure to think about putting in a good word to my superiors," he said with an affected condescending grin.
That's actually how I've been treating my drone in a different SF game. Keep grumbling and yelling abuse at it while it just takes it stoicly.
By the way, expect to see some personality shifts with Kindu during combat. His powers have more than just a mechanical effect on him >:-3
Giving a growl of anger at being blatantly ignored, Kindu focused for a moment and a glowing beam of bright orange manifested in his hand, before the color spread across his body, wreathing himself in orange flame. "Your defiance of the law has been noted and filed," he said with a slightly manic grin. "You shall now be apprehended with extreme prejudice." With that, he started making his way closer to the land-bound enemies.
As the firefight started, Kindu cursed silently before jumping out. "Halt, in the name of the Prosperity Peacekeepers!" He yelled out, hoping to get at least some of them to surrender. "Cease and desist all violent actions!"
Also, I'm melee, as solarians can't for ranged weapons with their ability. Just lightsabers >;-3 I have a starknife, though not a returning one, as I'm a follower of Desna. Didn't have the credits for any weapon mods.

"Hmm, I doubt that the father figure arc would work well, he might be too old for that. Redemption, though, that's always a good seller. I remember back in River Of Blade I helped that android assassin find redemption after she accidently killed her love. We'll have to take it slowly, though. Do it too quickly and the audience won't believe it..." He had to shake his head to get himself back in the game. Or show, rather. "Anyway, we'll put that in the future box. Whattaya say, kid, wanna make some extra creds?"
Nodding his head, Kindu handed over the credstick. "Very well, son, just be careful. Not every person you may follow will be as understanding as we are." A sudden thought occured and he looked at the young man carefully. "Tell me, would you be willing to sell information to us on occasion?"
Kindu was gave it some thought and was about to reply when the strange rolling nose appeared once more. He really needed to get his compatriot's names down... And figure out what, exactly, the nose was. "Indeed, son," he said, giving out the smile that won Teen Star Weekly's Most Stunning Smile award five years running. "I think I can even spare an extra five credits if you could lead us to this 'Padre' personally." To show that he meant business, he pulled out an empty credstick, hooked it up to Kiph, and transferred the offered credits.
"Alright, let's just calm down here," Kindu said, looking from one to the other before sticking on the ysoki. "I would ask you kindly to refrain from further attacks against someone that has already surrendered. As for you, son, why don't you tell us why you were following this man, and we'll see how much trouble you'll be in. If you give your full cooperation, I promise that I'll see to it that you have leniency."
Unfortunately sleeping through his alarm, Kindu enjoyed a leisurely breakfast before checking his messages and noticing that Shurumi had a case for the newly-formed group. Quickly putting on his armor and grabbing his gear, he rushed out to the coordinates just in time to see one of the ysoki having their drone fire upon someone. "Halt! In the name of the Peacemakers, I demand to know what is happening!"
As the call for the coming Blackout came over the intercom, Kindu quickly left the restaurant with a parting smile to Shurami. Taking her advice in hand, he made his way over to the hotel she mentioned and got a good room. Always good to have a good bed for his beauty sleep.
"See? Unsung heroes can be found in all walks of life!" Kindu said with a wide grin as he shook the small paw of Glitch. "Now that the excitement is over, shall we return to our rudely interrupted meal? I would just love to get to know you better, my dear."
"Of course, I've often had to work with the seedier side of civilization," Kindu said before the ysoki walked up. "Such as this little fella! I'm sure underneath his mercenary exterior beats the heart of a hero just waiting to burst forth!" Giving Glitch a winning smile, he momentarily faltered as the bantrid rolled up. "Um..yes, I'm sure that this...fellow would be happy to assist I, the great Kindu Rassi, to keep the citizens of Prosperity from all those who would do them harm!"
Quickly trying to come up with a proper response to make himself look the best in front of his new employers, Kindu replied, "Oh, yes, I was able to use my powerful personality and the authority given to me by the wonderful Aspis Corporation to distract these renegade robots as these enterprising individuals quickly saved the various civilians within this fine establishment." Giving a mental handshake to himself for his quick thinking, he continued. "Obviously there is some dastardly ne'er-do-well trying to ruin the fine name of your company, and I swear I will not rest until I find them and put them behind bars where they belong!" 'Insert heroic pose number 572 here and we're good,' he thought to himself as he stood with his chest puffed out and his hands on his hips. 'Cut, wrap, take it to the vidscreens.'
Kindu grinned at the woman, and was about to reply in kind when the manic bundle of fur suddenly raced across the table towards the door. "I-wha-wait!" Kindu barely managed to get out before Scrambles made it outside. "Please stay inside, I don't want a beautiful woman like yourself hurt in the coming unpleasantness," he mentally told the woman before rushing outside to find the skittermander setting up various cameras. "Just be sure to get my heroic actions!" he yelled before rushing towards the robots that seem to be the cause of the troubles. "Halt, I am Kindu Rassi, soon-to-be deputy of the Prosperity Peacekeeprs! In the name of the law, I insist that you cease and desist all violent actions on behalf of the Aspis Corporation and the citizens of Prosperity!" he exclaimed, holding up his hand in a very heroic and authoritative manner.
Oh, just a fair warning, my Perception is at -1 currently, so unless I roll really high or the DC is really low, expect me to fail them more often than not.
"Hey hey, off the face, watch it!" Kindu exclaimed as the skittermander suddenly started to go after him with a make up kit. Getting up, he helped to get Scrambles back into the seat. "I'm ugh sure he's a great camera man, but maybe someone a little less...manic, perhaps?" he asked Shurami awkwardly. "Perhaps yourself? I'm sure the two of us would get in some great shots together."
I'm GMT -6 (-5 now that it's Daylight Savings Time, evidently), but I work nights so that's when I'll usually do my posts.
Kindu couldn't help the grin that spread across his face as he was greeted by the beautiful lashunta. "It is an absolute pleasure to meet you, my dear," he said as he grasped her hand and lightly kissed her knuckles. "I would like to express my thanks to the Aspis Corporation once again for helping to fund this series. I do believe that becoming a deputized member of the security force would be helpful to my goal, but would that keep me from exploring the lands outside the city? I believe that the first few episodes should take place in Prosperity, and indeed could help bring in more prospective citizens - after all, who wouldn't want to live in a city protected by me? - I do hope to film myself fighting off the deadly beasts that plague this planet and turn it into a truly hospitable planet." He paused a moment to take a sip of his drink, which was fairly acceptable for the location, before continuing. "Tell me, does Aspis have anything that they would rather not have me film?"
Kindu Rassi, star of several high-grossing action movies and former A-lister, took a deep breath of fresh air before coughing out the seemingly pound of dust that tried to settle in his lungs. "Take a cough cough note, Kiph: This strange, new land needs a better exterior decorator. Recommend the service that used to take care of my old penthouse," he said into the wrist-mounted computer on his left arm. Shaking his head, luscious blonde locks waving with the motion, he grabbed his bags before heading off towards his destination. Of course, he bee-lined straight through the mass of lesser passengers still squabbling over their meager possessions. He delighted in giving out autographs, all while claiming he was in a hurry (a little white lie, of course), before finally getting to the other side of the crowd. Checking his map, he took his time getting to the Nectar (always fashionably late). Walking inside as if he owned the place, he looked at the waiter and said, "Well, hello there. I'm here for a meeting with a Shurami."

So, just got the Pact Worlds book, and the Steward Officer archetype's abilities really fit with how I'm envisioning this character. Would some refluffing of the archetype be allowed?

Combination front line fighter/face man. Took the Heavy Armor Proficiency feat for better durability and the solar weapon manifestation. Obviously, if we obtain a starship, I will be the captain. Who else will have the rugged good looks and sheer personality to lead this ragtag group of ne'er-do-wells? Someone bring me some sham-pag-ne!
