Hey guys,

Sorry for a week lapse in my posting. I'm currently in England and just got back from my Best-friend's wedding and now just got a chance to post. I'm still going to be over here for a couple of more weeks but now just visiting with friends and family so things have calmed down. I have plenty of access to Internet and my iPad so I'll be checking regulary on the game and will be sure to post. Looking forward to seeing more game Pinvendor so count me in! Let the adventure continue!!!


Hey GM. I talked to DSX and he is cool with my moves. As for "carving" a path ...my character's intentions were to only carve a way through people who resisted her trying to make her way to the bar. I had no intention of mercilessly killing innocent civilians that happen to just be in the way. I just wanted to clarify that but if there is no option but violence Kalica will certainly rise to the occasion if anyone in her party is faced with danger.

So, I'm sticking to my post. Just FYI

My character's name will be Kalica and here is her background.

For the extra trait I wanted to go with Reactionary: You gain a +2 trait bonus to Initiative checks.

Also - I want to spend my last 4g to purchase Saddle Bags for my horse so I am not lugging all my gear around. Since, I have such high animal affinity I ride my horse bareback. Her name is Blossom and she is mostly brown with a few white markings especially the white mark on her face that looks like a blossom. That leaves me with 1s and 6p.

Kalica's Background:
When Kalica was young and in love she was sent on a scouting mission to investigate rumors of surviving Elven ruins scattered throughout the most remote reaches of the Stolen Lands. Along her journey, her and her love Galan came across a village that was being attacked by bandits. The small village was burning to the ground and most of the village had been slaughtered like cattle. Among the fire and smoke a cry from a small child could be heard in the distance. Kalica and Galan had reached the village just in time to rescue the little girl from the burning building. As Kalica dashed in to rescue the little girl, Galan fought off the bandits. There was little time for celebration. As Kalica cleared the burning village she could hear Galan yelling back, "Run and save the little girl. I will stay and fight!" All Kalica could do was console the sobbing child as she looked back to see her love be overwhelmed by the marauders and murdering him before her eyes. Fighting back her anguish and moving quickly through her blurry vision of tears she made it back to the edge of the forest. From there she grabbed their horses and hosted the little girl upon Galan's horse she then kicked her horse and pulled on Galan's horse in order to hurry them through the forest trail before the murderers could reach them.

Once she got back to her Elven kin and stood before the council they said they would do nothing. It was not their home and it was never an Elf's place to interfere and that avenging the death of Galan would solve nothing. To console her grief Kalica decided to help the little girl. Brought her to a town and visited her quite often when she was not attending to her duties as a scout for her people. She watched her grow into a woman and eventually mother a child named Ali. She would visit the mother and her child in the forest even up till the day Ali's mother died.

Once Ali's mother passed away, Kalica stricken with grief, re-evaluated her life and spent a couple of years wandering, being a bit shocked at the brevity of human existence. Kalica was always looking out for Ali even the day the child almost perished in a fire. She rescued the teenager from certain death and did her best to rescue Ali without making it too obvious, then followed making sure the 'blind' teenager found enough food and supplies to make the journey to a town through the forest.

After all the time Kalica spent scouting for the council nothing could remove the stain of Galan's death and the refusal of the council to do anything left a foul taste in Kalica's mouth. She decided it was time to leave her kin and seek out those who decide to destroy other's lives in the Stolen Lands and bring them to justice as well as assisting and protecting Ali along the way.


Is there anyway to be a little bit of both, stabby stabby and Bow? For my two Skills, I would like Know (nature) and Handle Animal.

Track (Ex):

A ranger adds half his level (minimum 1) to Survival skill checks made to follow or identify tracks.

Wild Empathy:

A ranger can improve the initial attitude of an animal. This ability functions just like a Diplomacy check to improve the attitude of a person (see Using Skills). The ranger rolls 1d20 and adds his ranger level and his Charisma bonus to determine the wild empathy check result. The typical domestic animal has a starting attitude of indifferent, while wild animals are usually unfriendly.

Woodcraft:
Elves know the deep secrets of the wild like no others, especially those of the forests. Elves with this racial trait gain a +1 bonus on Knowledge (nature) and Survival checks. In forest terrain, these bonuses improve to +2. This racial trait replaces the elven magic racial trait.

Low-Light Vision:
Elves can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light (see low-light vision)

Elven Immunities:
Elves are immune to magic sleep effects and get a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects

Character Back Story

Kindral has always been one to be obedient to authority...well, when it has suited her motivations. She has found that being out in the forest and surrounded by her furry friends makes life worth living. But when humans and other races become involved in politics things tend to spin out of control. In the end it is nature that suffers and all the Kindral holds dear to heart suffers. The one thing she has enjoyed most in life is her station...as a watch out, as a ranger, one who serves and finds peace through her station. She is willing to die to defend that which she holds dear and loves.
