Surely you must thrill at his tales of adventure, at his harrowing escapes, and at the deadly dangers of his many battles!" Er, ahem... In seriousness, what we really need right now is a good lightning bolt or two. But of course, we couldn't have had that at this level. A Cleric channeling would have been good, too, but alas, the dice did not so favor us. Oh, well. It's kind of the risk of this randomness. We'll just all have to do the best we can to keep things moving.

Is there any good way we could speed it up? Part of it's just a consequence of the party size, but I think another part of it is that we're a party full of people who would rather be in melee with only a couple spots to actually be in melee. 0th level(4): Detect Magic, Mending, Spark, Virtue | 1st level(2/day): Lead Blades, Sun Metal Kimbwe awakes with a groan in darkness. After waiting a moment (and hearing Flair's rant), he stands up and grandly says, "Ah, so Kimbwe is not imprisoned alone out of sight of the sun? But the foolish jailors think to blind his eyes with darkness, so that he may not see his new companions? Bah! Kimbwe the Beast-Friend is not so easily thwarted!" He focuses on the thought of a bat for a moment, and his ears and eyes change slightly, growing a bit larger. Using Bat animal focus to gain Darkvision 60'. Now able to see, he looks about. "Ah! So many are Kimbwe's companions! Clearly, this mysterious Don--for Kimbwe saw him too--must be a powerful and fell mage, who has thought to imprison the Mighty Kimbwe and his new companions together for his amusement, that he might watch as they crawl in the dark and die to his fell pets! But worry not, friend!" Kimbwe draws his katana. "For Kimbwe the Swordmaster shall not be easily defeated! He shall lead his companions forth to battle against all that hides in the shadows, until he again stands in the sun, his heroism tried and found true!" Looking around and seeing no foes to slay immediately, he sheathes his blade. "Ah, they seek to lull Kimbwe the Clever into a sense of security. But what is this? Water?" He walks over to the water in the northwest corner. "If he is to be long in the dark, Kimbwe shall need water. But perhaps the evil Don knows this, and so has poisoned the water! Hah! Kimbwe is too clever for such things! He knows the ways of men and beasts, and shall detect if this water be safe or no!" Kimbwe carefully examines the water, even (if he sees no immediate danger) touching a finger to it and sniffing it, before noticing Dyarendi. "Ah! But one of his companions has already tried the water! Tell Kimbwe, is it well to drink?" Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25

0th level(4): Detect Magic, Mending, Spark, Virtue | 1st level(2/day): Lead Blades, Sun Metal Kimbwe is mildly insane and brings a little bit of everything to the table, which is functionally equivalent to bringing nothing to the table. With his poor hit points I fully expect him to get himself killed pretty early. ... Okay, actually, I'm hoping to keep him alive, just to see what madness happens as I continue to roll random classes. Right now, he's actually got a pretty decent Stealth check, as well as Perception, Disable Device, and Survival, so he can serve as a secondary scout. If he can manage to stay alive in melee, he can do decent damage, though he's a bit better at hitting with his bow in reality. In the future... who knows? In fact, for RP purposes, I think I want to roll his next class right now, so I can talk about what he's practicing in the evenings... Next class: 1d39 ⇒ 19
I actually haven't quite finished, but I'm pretty close. Particularly since I'm only now answering the four background questions. "Let evil beware, for Kimbwe, Bane of Darkness, Master Swordscat, Expert Tentmaker, Skillful Trapspotter, and Stalker in Shadows is prepared for battle!" 1) What do you look like? (2-3 sentences)
"Our hero wears the garments of both East and West, in a harmonious blend advertising his mastery of the arts of both parts of the world. Above he wears the loose garments of the East over his mail, while below, the trousers of the West, while upon his feet he shods himself with sandals." 2) What were you arrested for?
3) Did you actually do it?
4) Do you play well with others?
