I threw a couple things over the wall and Matt should have a solid idea by next week: he'll either be able to integrate you guys into the other table ... or he'll start a table just for us (in which case I would stick around because that's wildly cool of him).

Yeah, I'll be honest, I'm not actually up for the recruitment/wildcard/rando thing at the moment. Not sure I'm up for the vibe change either. You & I playing 2 characters or directly inviting people we've played with before is one thing, another rabid, foaming at the mouth, Paizo recruitment process is sort of another.

I did reach out to him, but I think with Mosquito planning to drop, 2 of us isn't really sustainable. Let me know if you think you want to try something creative tho, like each of us playing 2 characters. I might be able to go for that.

Kiilo kneels, knowing in his heart that Easivra will guide him. He prays for all of the lost souls here, knowing that he may need to return several of them to Pharasma and cursing the vile necromancy which plucked them from their rest.

"At all in a while" - yes, and with relevant data points.
Was worried about them actually, so I reached out.

We messaged the morning of the 12th; their work was insane, which is something I totally relate to. Didn't feel they'd be back with any of us that week, and then would be taking 2 weeks vacay to spend time with family.

We're in that 2 weeks now, so my personal inclination is to give them the space they need, but that's me; I had an incredibly hard time staying connected due to work this summer, so I really do get it.

With elections at the top of the week, I think hanging in there until Tuesday or Wednesday of next week makes sense. Can understand anyone who's struggling to feel connected for sure, but life does happen. I'm going to stay rooted in DA returning for now.

Had messaged GM about that on Discord; happy to attack if needed, but thought it might drop with Voz down.

Character sheet updated with command and the torch, which is now called an Everlight Crystal. Personally, I like that much better than a torch that's always burning.

As someone with too many cloth pouches (mostly for dice) silk pouches are nice.

With the loot divided and everyone rested, what are your exploration activities going into the cave? And who is going in first?

Kiilo's state of mind is probably best suited for him to go last ...

May we just add 10gp each, assuming that we'll sell this pouch as soon as we get the chance?

Markus says "If anyone likes to climb, this is a great rope and grappling hooks." He also suggests "I will take this torch if you don't mind. I can cast a Light spell, but it prevents me to use other spells that need me to concentrate." He covers the torch with a piece of cloth. Finally, he suggests each should take a healing potion.

Kiilo rigs up his wing haress to enter Ground Mode as well as Detect Magic mode for exploration.

Feeling infected by the cleric's enthusiasm, Markus laughs loudly and says "You're amazing as always, Quito!" He calls for Cranky to return to him. Cranky is visibly annoyed to have been left behind in the woods alone. Markus holds him close and pets him softly. He produces a treat from his backpack and lets Cranky cuddle in his robe for a while.

Finally, he addresses the situation "So, at first look this fort is only for show. Sort of like a temporary station for troops. It's unclear what options they'd have if they got surrounded, but maybe whatever's in the cave that Mosquito uncovered would be the answer to that. Maybe it's the gateway to the Hellknight citadel."

He takes a look around and says "Maybe we should first take a look around the fort before trying the cave. There might be more clue as to what we'll find. Also, I expended quite a lot of resources in that fight. That was scary, those orcs had good aim and were very tactical. I wouldn't mind some rest. At the same time, Voz is working right now, we might miss her if we take too long. Opinions?"

"I will be honest, I was circling around up above during the chaos, hoping someone would expose exactly this as they scampered around. They didn't. Leave it to Mosquito! The next round of pickles is totally on me my friend."

Kiilo looks pensive

"Thankfully for me, flight is prayer. I have all my resources at hand. But I will also say that from what we have gathered, we should have all of our resources at hand to confront her: we cannot afford to lose. I think we can invest in the time to rest, I can even fly back to town for supplies if you all want to stay here to guard the entrance."

Just you wait until I can cast level 4 spells, I'll be up there flying with you. I mean, up to 5 minutes, which is the duration of the spell anyway.

But once that's heightened to 7th, Marcus & Kiilo can hang out for an hour ;)

Just a quick heads-up and FYI ... I'm here!

GM & I have sorted some flight issues that I was having, and settled on the implementation of the Level 1 flight variant from the Ancestry Guide. Obviously not in time for Kiilo to ambush a platform, but I think it's a good thing.

I'll enter the fray when D.A. tells me it's time :)

What would help everyone be more engaged? In the past (and currently), I have really benefitted from having pbp players in my Discord, but that might not be good for everyone.

Sorry for the delay. Yesterday was the last of 10 days working in a row. By the end of it, I was really feeling the burn out. Fortunately, I had time to rest today.

Having tested positive for COVID a week ago, I understand needing rest. I am still wiped out. Take your time.

The Strix took a very deep breath and minor magics swirled around him as his harness released his wings and compressed itself around his waist: with his friend he was frequently concerned when there was LESS noise and right now the little pickle-mouth had gone upstairs, yet no one was cheering or shouting. This could be trouble indeed!

"Friends, I'm not sure who the new bus boy is, and I'm not sure if maybe he thinks everyone is a drunkard, and I'm not even sure that's far from the truth here at the Pickle ... but I do know that Cayden's Smallest Chosen One is in a tavern unsupervised. I think we should ascend."

Kiilo had taken a deep breath ... and then needed to take another. This tunnel was worse than the exterior goblin entrance to the basement. But he did it. He prayed to Easivra that he would return to the sky, and arrived in time to see his friend stealing pickles.

"Are we going to have to pay for those!? I will need to sing for a week!!! At least save me some!" The bard smiles and untethers his wings for the moment, extending his hand to the little priest hoping for one of the good pickles.

"Someone made that tunnel for a reason, and it surely wasn't made by the Hellknights."

I would have to believe its hunger, given that there isn't anything other than the bear down there to eat. Desparate to eat or desparate to leave.
