Aeshuura wrote: Another gaggle of pirates swings aboard and stop when they see Kephalos, Well, well, well... If it ain't our favorite Faun! "I'll be your favorite knife in the gut if you come any closer." Kephalos states with a charm that belies the deadly situation. The pirates did, in fact, come closer, but none managed to land a strike on the nimble rogue. At one point during the confusion of battle, Kephalos lashed out with his daggers in a series of slashes and stabs that leaves a number of the Cretans lying in pools of blood on the deck. Attack vs. Pirate Raiders 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
I had said above that Kephalos takes a moment to hide before the pirates swung aboard, and Hidden upgrades to Cloaked due to a class ability. When attacking from Cloaked, he gets Sneak Attack damage, but he also gets it when the target is in melee with someone else, so I'm hoping he can use one of those reasons to get Sneak Attack without having to disrupt the narrative.

Hey, I'm having trouble finding the rules for attacking with a Secondary Weapon. My Small Dagger, for example, has this feature: Quote: Paired: +2 to primary weapon damage to targets within Melee range I get that my Primary Weapon gets a +2 to damage when I have this Secondary Weapon in my other hand. But does the +2 replace any attack I'd expect to make with the Small Dagger? Or do I get to make two attacks? If so, is there any sort of two-weapon penalty?

Agility: 2d12 + 1 ⇒ (3, 10) + 1 = 14 <-- Fear Sensing that battle is imminent, Kephalos finds a place to hide so that he can take an enemy by surprise. And because of an ability, I get to be Cloaked rather than Hidden. I should look up what the difference is.

I can probably get aboard, but whatever I do, I'll need to do quickly. Aeshuura wrote: If you can disable their steering oar, we can outmaneuver them! "How do I do that?!"

Kephalos lets out a long breath at Vesper's answer. "That's what I was afraid of. Also, I think I know this ship. It's captained by the minotaur Kresios. He might remember me? But not, like, in a bad way. Maybe. Probably? I think. "Okay... we can try and talk to Kresios, but I don't know how that will go. I can maybe get on the ship before it gets to us. But I don't know how that would help us. Is there some way I can disable the ship and get back off before I get shanked?" For later reference: Shadow Stepper You can move from shadow to shadow. When you move into an area of darkness or a shadow cast by another creature or object, you can mark a Stress to disappear from where you are and reappear inside another shadow within Far range. When you reappear, you are Cloaked.

Sorry, I was traveling for work, and didn't have the free time that I thought I would have. Vesper, are you going to share what you learned from your Knowledge roll? Knowledge: 2d12 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2 <-- I forget how Hope/Fear is affected by a tie. Agility: 2d12 + 1 ⇒ (12, 5) + 1 = 18

Kephalos walks over to stand next to Iaeson, his hooves making a distinctive knocking noise on the deck with each step. The faun looks to where their exuberant captain is pointing. Kephalos squints in the direction indicated for a moment before asking, warily, "What does the flag on that ship mean?"

Yes, I think we understood that. The question is if one player is supposed to target their questions at other players, or if a player is supposed to review other player's questions and choose one for their PC. I don't think it matters which way we do it, but it was creating confusion upthread when we were doing it different ways. Checking the SRD, I found this: Quote:
The second bullet point talks about the questions, but doesn't really clarify. However! The list of questions for each class says "Ask your fellow players one of the following questions for their character to answer, or create your own questions." Honestly, I think it's fine to make the connections however we want. So, Vesper claimed one of my questions, and I targeted the other two questions at Thillenethiel and Jardeth. Thil answered one question, and Jardeth has the option to answer or reject the other question. And I still need to create a connection with Enna. Hmm...

Okay... I thought the point of these questions was to form some way of the PCs knowing another PC. Why are we assuming Kephalos doesn't know Thil? I was envisioning that Thil has been a druid long enough that he knew Kephalos' faun community before they were chased away.

Hey Vesper, can you get back to me on this, please? I'd like to know if you're claiming my connection question for you, or if I still have it available.

@Thillenethiel: Assuming a druid would likely have experience in the woodlands that Kephalos lived in before he migrated to the city, my question for you is: Quote: What have I discovered about your past that I hold secret from the others?

"Let me get this straight: You want us to recover the armor of a literal goddess, probably guarded by some spawn cross-bred from a nightmare and a fever dream, not to mention myriad obstacles between here and there, just so you can set up your retirement early with a nice dowry?" Kephalos flinches when, nearby, voices raise in anger as a group of angry men storm past, calling out what punishments they'll mete out if they get ahold of whomever they're looking for. Kephalos quickly pulls his hood up to cover the horns that curl along the top of his head. "Actually, there's this thing that I have to not be at, so sure... I'm in."

Okay, I'm just now realizing that we have three Wildborne characters. While having half the party being stealthy might be cool, I think having more variety would be fun. In lieu of that, Aeshuura, can I change to Slyborne like you originally assumed I would be?
Okay, I've completed Kephalos' profile. At least until we get to the Connections part of character creation. And here's a slightly updated template: Slightly updated template: Name (Pronouns)

Hey, in case this is helpful for anyone, I put together a quick template for my rogue to fill out my alias page. It's not perfect, but it gets all the information onto your alias. (I hope. I'm still learning.) Copy the spoiler text into a text editor and do a find-and-replace to change all of the squiggly brackets into square brackets. Daggerheart template: Name (Pronouns)
