Yes, taking a drawback to get an extra trait is fine. Should have said that in the original post, but forgot.

Hmm... Technically, those are three Combat traits. And are we not supposed to pick a CotCT Campaign trait as one of our two (or three if we take a drawback) traits?

I tend to forget that you have to take different types of traits because i houserule it differently, but it's alright, the first two traits are negotiable.

I will adjust the traits accordingly. The question is whether it is okay if the drawback and third trait only apply while the character is bloodraging.

Threeshades here, I posted interest once but then got silent. I'm still around, I'm currently downlevelling a character i would like to throw in. This is the Alias, still WIP

- Using bloodrager, I would still like to use the rage rules as per unchained barbarian, if that's fine for you. Consider it testing the unchained rage on other classes.

As for which Unchained rules I would like to test with this character:
I want to pick up the combat stamina feat, i would like to try the unchained barbarian's rage with the bloodrager class, I'm going for natural attacks during my rage, and I believe that would be interesting to see in use with the new action economy
I'm also considering variant multiclassing into Sorcerer, also with abyssal bloodline for among other things extra claw use outside of rage, representing Kel-Varas learning to use small portions of his demon without giving it control.

Background and description are done. With that i believe my submission is complete.

Crunch is complete as far as i can judge, will get to writing on a backstory after I had a good night's rest.

It would be Axe to grind (attacks do +1 damage against enemies that are only threatened by me) and Cruelty (-2 to attacks against non-dying and non-helpless enemies, if dying or helpless enemies are nearby)

Would it be okay if I took a trait and drawback that only apply while i'm bloodraging?

I finally got an idea what to make.
This is Kel-Varas, born as the result of an experiment to infuse a demon into an unborn human child.
Possessed by the abyssal denizen he has to struggle to keep its urge for mayhem at bay and channel its power at his enemies by letting it take partial control (and drastically alter his appearance) in battle. During his childhood he was trained in the martial discipline of the Black Seraph to keep control of and exploit the demon's potential in combat.

A full background to follow, once I have completed the build. For now I'm glad i got something into the thread.

What I'm going for is a Bloodrager with the Primalist Archetype and Abyssal Bloodline to get all sorts of demonic features during blood rage. And using thematically appropriate black seraph maneuvers per the Martial Training Feat line.

I might still switch to a human rather than tiefling

Vethyra Inkblood: It will be interesting to see how you fit Black Dragon blood into the story.
