kill them all, let Pharasma sort out their souls. 99.99% of the time players are going to curb stomp a scenario and kill every mob within a round, 2 if they are weak PC's. It doesn't make me sad the .01% of the time they are actually in danger. But to you question... no don't change anything, consider yourself lucky if the stars have aligned to create a challenge for the PC's
It looks like you guys just want to force people to play in your box... Trying to control people always works for the best right? "Lizen, you will playza and runza in thiz one place. Violators will be BANNED from zee online PFS... You understand, ja?" All Arthur is saying is that a tool is being developed to help centralize things. However it will be optional because even though it may be more convenient for you its would be a dick move to try and mandate it to everyone... Let's be honest really, the problem is the same as it always is... Not enough people are GM'ing... Now it seems we can add to that list with... people are too lazy to find games if it means they have to click more than once. Not sure what everyone's problem is, when I want to play I can find a game, when I GM my tables are always full... There are multiple slots available each day... If you cant find a game then run one.
I don't understand why this needs to be so complicated. It is really very simple. If you don't like a GM don't play with him. The worst thing that can happen is that you don't know anything about a particular GM, you play with him once, realize you don't like him and never play with him again. So in this example at most you have wasted 4 hours of time. Wasting is probably a harsh and exaggerated turn but even if its the case bid deal. There are plenty of GM's I choose not to let run games for me. I just choose not to play with them, I feel no need to nerd rage and rant to anyone who will listen about why I don't play with particular GM's. Even if there was a GM rating system, what does one propose other than self regulation as I described? Should we ban GM's who get negative ratings? This is a novel concept but not necessary. It's hard enough to get people to take the time to prep a game and run it without having them worry about people rating them negatively. No change is needed to what we have now, people just need to make their own choices.
Patrick Harris @ MU wrote: Okay. One final question: Can we expect quick chronicle turnaround? I ask because I want to play the same character on Friday and Sunday, but I know online chronicles occasionally take a while. Allow me to translate :) "Sometimes my GM's are lazy and do not send out my chronicles for days or weeks!" Jesse is old school, he will kick lazy GM's Bruce lee style. Of course he can answer for this as to his own personal expectation but I know I shutter in fear at thinking what would happen to me if I didn't turn around chronicle's super quick when the boss is looking. Jesse is a boss coordinator, if you cross him you will be swimming with the Aboleth's! Just warning all you level 0 GM's out there! Don't cross him, seriously.. he's HARDCORE.. Alright, done with my pointless, no substance post now.... And if you are unable to discern sarcasm allow me to point out that this post is composed heavily with it. Later!

Why is this so complicated? keep your character sheets on paper in a binder for LGS (or keep them loose, whatever.... you have to fill them out before scanning). Scan them in, take a picture and store it in Google drive for online play.
After reading 3 pages of posts I gave up and decided to ask this question. Can someone explain to me the big difference between a synthesis and an optimized druid? I mean this sincerely! Having slow tracked a Synthesis and played it for a long time now it is kind of annoying that it's gone. That said I am going to take those chronicles and make the cheesiest optimized character possible, wish me luck. |
