@GM SuperTumbler
I had a bad case of brain fog from chemotherapy.
It's frustrating as all get out.
I knew why I had mine and knew (if the chemo worked and I lived and all) that mine would be a transitory thing so I found a comfy chair, stayed hydrated and watched vids to pass the time. It was a practice at being patient and an exercise in how to apologize for not being able to think of things.
Not knowing would be an uncomfortable situation. Fingers crossed for you.

Lyme can be evil...

Everyone is healthy as can be.
We dodged a bullet.

I'm quarantining b/c Kathleen (my GF) and I have been exposed to a terrible virus. Hopefully we dodge the bullet (and these sniffles are my usual allergies).
Thanks for the update. Relax and we'll pick things back up when we're all able.

Sorry for the delay.
I'll need some help with the map, possibly...

My frequency has been slower than I'd like.
Work is pretty engaging these days.

My formal explanation in game while you were gone...

Much appreciated!

I would expect Lee's ability to cast mercifully would make him useful for any effort that would benefit from incapacitated enemies and low levels of collateral damage.

Okay. I see we've gotten rolling.
Lee will listen to Thren's pitch.
I'm not sure we've established how Lee's been occupying his time, but I'm assuming it's some kind of "Arcanist for Hire" gig? Or research?

For the stronghold, I am always open to commentary and ideas :)

I'm not sure Lee is a "tower" type of guy, but I'm supposed to start lobbying for a tower now, right?

Keith, let us know when you have an 8th level Lee.

This, once again. proves that PCGen is worth every penny I paid for it.

Not the easiest thing I've done recently.
Lee is up to 8th.
I can attach my char sheet to a direct message? How is easiest to share it? (I know I have to update Lee's stats in his name/info/thing. I'm so out of touch with this...)

I'll work on it today.

I've changed computers since I was in the adventure and need to find my PCGen files.

Thanks, It will be nice to hop back into the world, if I'm able.
Probably I'm going to have to get to know our GM a little, though.
And then there's the "catching Lee up" process if that goes well.

Good evening, all.
DeathQuaker has been telling me about this campaign getting back up to speed again? I would be interested in taking on the role of Lee again if there's interest in moving forward.
-Keith.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays.

I'm going to be on the road until next week. Posting may become sporadic. Botting to move things along would be welcome as needed.

Lark and Lee must have been posting at the same time.
Here's hoping Capt T doesn't make it thru this round, perplexing or not.

Ditto.
Solid concept.

We're all ready

All Fireballs are directed to the Famished Mane (the guys we want to kill) not the Vorsfang (the guys we don't want to kill).
Once it became apparent that even a Merciful Fireball would be a death sentence for the the Vorsfang-ers I decided to have Lee concentrate on the Famished Mane-ers.

And I think having Lee stay at Ghoral Rey is a good idea. He (as an NPC) can contribute to the effort by doing research and whatnot (generating Magic Capital) and then if/when jumping back in is possible it will be a much simpler matter to get it done.

Thanks for the well-wishes. It looks like I've got a month or so of time in the campaign, so let's enjoy it.

I gave a pre ship to ship sequence of spells for Lee to cast.
Look for a spell list later today or early tomorrow

Sounds fine.

I'm on the road and posting from my phone.
I'll start the convo between Lee and Kroop this evening.
Everyone have a safe and happy (as possible) Thanksgiving.

Lee could fill the Quartermaster & Cook rolls on the way to Plumetown, but once we start doing things with ship's stores that need a Quartermaster's attention someone else will need to get into the galley.
Also, get used to soup, soup and more soup.

If the rest of the party wants Kroop to take on the Citadel Steward position, Lee will discuss it with him.

I'm good with the treasure divvy.
Anything that is mundane could go to crew.
Can we mount that longbow on something? Like a ship?

I really liked Daredevil S3 but I heard viewership was down 50-some percent from S2. I guess people miss those feel-good Punisher moments.

I started looking at Riverdale as kind of a background for Sabrina.

Also, I'm posting from my phone and think Lee may have finished the fight.

Yeesh. Tornadoes are not to be trifled with.

An another note, there has been some discussion about "Riverdale" on Netflix. Things like, "I don't think I need Dark Archie..." Which rapidly became "D'Archie". Anyway, I succumbed. It's pretty dark, but seems to be well-done and entertaining, especially if you enjoy "I'm crazier than you" one-upsmanship-style storytelling.

My "arise and post" scheme failed to go off as planned this morning.
Look for something this evening, probably after trick or treating is done.

We need to start thinking about how we'll refresh Haste.
We need to gather 'round just a bit...

That sounds like a reasonable interpretation.

Good choice.

Thundering Drums looks interesting b/c of the and prone part of it.
Fear is powerful.
Displacement.
Blink.
There's a lot of good choices. Tough to go wrong.

Sounds fine.
If we get split up, Lee can try to use Message to coordinate. It's whisper-level quiet communication.
If we get Silence dropped on us again, Lee will have to get out of the spell radius to cast, but once he's able he'll keep piling on spells.
Remember to stay close if you all want Lee's opening Haste to have any effect on you.

Lee's only great buff is 7 rounds of Haste.
Do we want to cast that once the fight is underway? If so we will need to pay some attention to where we are on the map.

If we are avoiding a strength vs strength conflict we probably need to reset our spells. Certainly Lee wouldn't be participating in that, though. His build philosophy has more to do with ship-to-ship warfare than subtle mind control.

I think Lee has a decent chance of stripping away some Cyclopean buffs with Dispell Magic. His next most subtle spell would then be Fireball.

Lee still has some Haste.
Our best bet, though, is doing something other than meeting strength with strength. If we could use mind affecting magic, for example, to shut down the ranger fellow instead of fighting him we'll probably be happier.
I think handling this like a team that is diplomacy/intrigue optimized rather than combat optimized will yield better results for us.

So we aren't playing the "Giants Invade The Shackles" spin off campaign?

There's obviously only two cyclopses that we know of.
Probably there's no more actually living on our largely unexplored island. I mean, where could they be on a largely unexplored island? Certainly not the unexplored parts. That's just crazy talk.

Probably it's more likely that a horde of evil, one-eyed giants will show up at our front door and try to boot us out. We should be ready to fight hard or vacate quickly.

If leaving will save Thren, then I'm okay with it.
What will this kind of defeat do to our piraty reputation?
Lee will continue covering the party's retreat so his actions will be pretty much the same as fighting, for this round at least

The animals who eat tasty animals have come to grips with the food chain, for sure.

Interesting question in the ongoing mastodon fight. Once you can communicate with animals, do you become vegetarian or do you come to grips with the food chain? the only thing that changes is one's level of awareness.

Speaking of "looking it up", has anyone checked out the new home of the Pathfinder PRD?
http://www.aonprd.com/
I'd heard that the person managing it was doing the work for free. It seems like a big site, but it should be pretty static from here on out, so I don't know how much day-to-day effort there will be put into it. Anyway, a lot of people seem to have opinions about it.

Correction to my post on Friday.
My "To Hit" rolls should have all been two less (+7, not +9).
No change to any outcome, but I meant to look a thing up then and didn't. Remembered it today and am corrected.

Posted successfully.
Hopefully things are sorted.

I've been checking in and the site's been down. This is the first time in about a week that it's been up enough to do this.
Looks like I was able to preview. I'll try to post.

Site's been up and down.
Who can say if it stays up.
