So are you staying to speak with the dragon more, looking at the anomaly or leaving the cave?

Your task is to seek out the wrecked ship itself. I’ve been studying these waters and their currents a long time. If a ship has wrecked, it should be around here.” She stabs at the map with a strong finger. “At low tide, the water should be shallow enough to explore on foot in relative safety, without the waves lashing down. You’re to look for any information about why the ship went down, especially if it had to do with these currents. If you can, keep an eye out for Jaheem’s log. It should tell us quite a bit about what happened."

So we explored the ship, found the log, and we know more about the tempest. What is left to do?

"Last question from me, dragon. What can you tell me about this so called tangle of the Planes of Air and Water ? Who created it and why? How can we stop it?"

Once his questions have been answered, Ka'zaak advises that the group continues to explore the anomaly.

"I will acquiesce to the group's decision of course." Ka'zaak lowers his sword to a resting, no-threatening pose. "And what of our mission?

"Does this dragon know more about thistangle of the Planes of Air and Water or shall we depart?"

Ka'zaak stares at the dragon. "You try to enslave us, then attack us, and now you expect us to lay down our weapons because we have beaten you? I think not.

"He is too dangerous to be left alive." Ka'zaak keeps his sword at the ready.

As the bullet leaves Thomas' sling, Ka'zaak steps forward to battle the dragon just before the fmales engulf it. "Ragathiel guide my blade as I protect my friends." he prays.

I assume the dragon detects as evil? Is the water difficult terrain?

As the acid burns his body, Ka'zaak pulls a javelin from his back. Ka'zaak spreads out hoping to hit the dragon before it breathes again. "Ragathiel guide me as I end this creature." he prays.

The paladin pulls his arm back and lets fly.

"Get this creature to the ground. Throw a tanglefoot bag or something."

'Oh, noble one. I am Ka'zaak, devotee of Ragathiel. What honorifics shall we use when addressing you?" GM - can we get a Kn check on this dragon?

"I too come with many strings tied to my sense of free will. Like Ren, I am a traveler of the open road and have been my entire adult life.

"I am sure one that sees the beginning from the end can understand the importance of a quest like this."

Still rowing, Ka'zaak asks if anyone knows a rowing song to distract him from the burn in his legts and the ache in his back.

Ka'zaak crouches with knees to chest, before pushing back with all his might. The oars churn the waters as the cords on his quadriceps bulge with the effort.

Strength: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

He prays to Ragathiel it is enough.

"Oh, I see." Flushing furiously, Ka'zaak moves to the rear of the group and shuffles awkardly until the groups is ready to move on.

A look of sadness crosses Ka'zaak's face. "Friend, I thank you for these generous gifts. It shames me to say, but I am not able to help poor Kelp...." unless its sickened "But if you need any wounds healed I would be more than happy to cure you."

Ka'zaak takes the gifts and hands them to his friends.

"Pleased to meet you, Kelp. I am Ka'zaak, Paladin of Ragathiel. These are my companions." Please don't let my monologue take away for anyone's role play if you want to jump in.

"What brings you here? We are investigating the odd water currents here and looking for lost companions."

Ka'zaak purposefully does not make eye contact with Angrboda.

How far is the rider away? What check do I need to make to try and either grab the animal's harness or pull the rider free?

As the scholars finish up their research, Ka'zaak adds, "I am sure that the Pathfinder Society will honor these tomes as they try to determine what is causing the rogue weather patterns. Shall we place them in our haversacks and continue or do you need more time to study?"

Ka'zaak waits patiently as he knows research can be a time consuming experience.

When they are ready he leads them back to the coral. We are going to a cave - right?

Ka'zaak walks over and plucks the journal from the dead corpse. "Would anyone like to read this over before we move on?"

where is my trap finding friend?

"Friends, it seems that we have left one last door to open. There is a door on the lower deck. Let us take a moment, and by Ragathiel, we can leave this cursed boat behind." With his friends' permission, he heads below desk with his bastard sword at the ready.

Thanks GM. Ok are we done with the wreck and off to the caves?

Ka'zaak looks around. Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 He hopes that others can see what he does not.

After searching the cabin, Ka'zaak continues to search the ship for clues.

Where are we of to next?

Ka'zaak lifts the plank and gently places it on the ground. He draws his bastard sword and opens the door all after someone (skill monkey)checks for traps or some such.

It is not - though I remember fondly many hours playing KotoR 1 & 2 (at least until the end of 2)

"If their raiment is so decayed, methinks that this is not the crew that we were looking for. Maybe just some undead scavengers."

Disappointed that there was little else to learn, Ka'zaak heads up the stairs and back to the door that was locked. "Shall we force our way in since the crew didn't seem to have a key. They always have keys" the paladin shakes his head as he ponders the situation.

Ka'zaak sheathes the cleaned blade of his bastard sword. "Ragathiel was with us this day. Nice work all of you. Shall we continue on to the aft and see what we see?" he asks. The paladin begins by searching the zombies for any information of their origins before continuing their journey.

"Zombies. Someone turned the crew into these mindless undead."

Ka'zaak swings his +1 holy reliquary keen bastard sword: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

"By Ragathiel!" Ka'zaak exclaims. He draws forth his reliquary bastard sword. Crimson inlaid wings dot the over three foot blade as he holds it defensively in front of him.

"Come, let us find out where this abomination has gone." Ka'zaak follows the undead towards the stairs.

Ka'zaak pulls the last member up to the ship. He places one hand behind his back on the hilt of his bastard sword, eyes and ears alert for danger.

Ka'zaak grabs the rope and begins to pull himself up the to the shipwreck hand over hand. His arms muscles straining hauling up his weight, perspiration beading on his shaven forehead, he grunts as his feet reach the top. He extends a hand for each companion that makes the trek after him.

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Ka'zaak breathes a sign of relief as sthe crab swarm passes by. Envisioning all those small crabs crawling between the plates of his armor gave him chills.

He follows the others to the listing ship. "I, as you can see, am not the most agile of persons. Nor am I stealthy. Yet I shall endeavor to do the best I can to defend you all." The paladin waits for someone better suited to sneaking to suggest a plan.

Everybody cool with this game moving forward with GM letsuna as GM?

Just want to make sure everyone is on board - 3/5 haven't checked in yet since noral left.

Give me a day or two to get up to speed and I will get you moving again. I have the module and will prep a little ahead of you so we roll smoothly.

He moves off to investigate.

GM Every couple of rounds he will Detect Evilas a SOP.

As the Venture Captain admonishes the paladin, he visibly flinches. Good looking, physically impressive, he just never felt comfortable when conversing with the venture captains. He much preferred swinging his sword on the battlefield.

"Fair enough captain. My apologies." he stammered.

Grateful to leave Captain Calisro's presence, he smiles as the tengu quartermaster greets them. "Thank you. I know as Pathfinders that we always need to be prepared, but I pray to Ragathiel I returned these to you unused." Ka'zaak takes the offered goods and places them in his haversack.

Ka'zaak face pales as he hears he will be journeying to the Pride of Aspenthar in a swan boat. He checks over his equipment. Assured that he has all that he needs, he signals his willingness to board the boat.

I'm good

A tall man in a highly polished breastplate stands at the periphery of the group. He wipes the fine beads of sweat off his clean-shaven scalp as the venture captain describes the changes at the Eye.

"Sailing. Water?!' he inwardly groans as he shifts from foot to foot feeling the weight of his gear. I hope the quartermaster has some potions.

"Venture captain, if I may. You mentioned that you hired one ... what was the name ... oh! - Jaheem Quinn. Do you think that it might be beneficial to learn a little more about him before we head to the shipwreck at Tempest Bay ... I mean Cay." and he emphasizes the 'ka' sound in Cay so as not to look more foolish in front of his fellow society members.

"You know, if he was acting oddly or anything like that recently." Though it was difficult to see his blush, Ka'zaak cleared his throat into his hand as he stood awkwardly in the back.

I'll go Paladin/Oracle. Spent all my free time updating him, but will get a post up tomorrow.

It is finished. Did they win? Was he victorious? What did he accomplish in Iomedae's name?

Nothing. He killed some thieving goblins. Once that could never pose a real threat to Magninar. He still has not found the man from his dreams, the ones clouded in mystery, the one he vowed to kill.

He looked around at his fellow Pathfinders, all had comported themselves admirably in their endeavors. Sadly, it was time to find a new team, and a new missions. He would always remember the short time they had.

"Friends, if I may call you that. I have enjoyed all of your company the last few days. I pray my lady Iomedea's protective hand be upon you in your future quests and I look forward should our paths cross once again."

He claps hands with the men and women alike before kneeling in front of Ekkie. "And you Ekkie have proven to all that you are a goblin among goblins. What is your fate little one? What is it you wish to do? I fear that many will shun you for no reason other than what you are." Ka'zaak looks to Kaylee.

"She is a genuine and true friend Ekkie, mayhaps you might want to travel with her for a time. Regardless, you have my thanks."

Ka'zaak bows his head in respect.

He turns heel and retrieves the goblins that he has knocked out or tied up. Nodachi out, he brings them to the local constable, defending them from the populace should the need arise to for them to be formally charged with the crime of theft.

Finally freeing himself from the sticky goo, Ka'zaak is not longer as scared as he was of the blade wielding foes.

As Inoklar begins to move forward, Ka'zaak lashes out with his nodachi.

Trying to cover up his previous mistake, he steps forward and tries to land a killing blow. Calling on the holy power of Iomedae, he asks his goddess for her divine blessing.

"Iomedae, make your servant strike true. End the evil so we may restore righteous."

Spellstrike (Su): At 2nd level, whenever a magus casts a spell with a range of "touch" from the magus spell list, he can deliver the spell through any weapon he is wielding as part of a melee attack. Instead of the free melee touch attack normally allowed to deliver the spell, a magus can make one free melee attack with his weapon (at his highest base attack bonus) as part of casting this spell.

So you can cast shocking grasp - standard; then can move your speed -move action - and deliver the attack through your weapon - free. Since you are delivering the spell through your weapon, you get a +3 to attack for the target having metal

Your successful melee touch attack deals 1d6 points of electricity damage per caster level (maximum 5d6). When delivering the jolt, you gain a +3 bonus on attack rolls if the opponent is wearing metal armor (or is carrying a metal weapon or is made of metal).

Make sure to add that +3 next time
