Yawning, Kaylor uses his true seeing to point out where exactly the "invisible" demon is. Remiel then uses a scroll to cast glitterdust, outlining the creature for everybody.
He then casually walks up to the colossal creature and just stands next to it. Yay for provoking ALL the AoO! Although I'm guessing it actually should have done something last round?

Remiel nervously flies higher into the air. Who wants to bet there's some giant water creature under there? And with that, there's a very unhelpful mental image of a sea monster lunging up to swallow you all whole.
A lack of movement/comment on Kaylor's behalf seems to suggest that he's content to wait and see what happens as Elmar fires into the water. Although he is preparing to cast fly on himself if an attack indicates the boat is likely to topple.

Unbeknownst to anyone, Kaylor shrugs. He had no doubt he could just fly everyone where ever it was they needed to go. But he didn't really see the point in making a fuss over such a relatively small amount of money. Remiel follows Zuberu's example and hands over the money, giving a disapproving look to some empty air (which as it turns out was nowhere near to where Kaylor was actually standing).

Invisible Kaylor instantly recognizes the two despicable creatures. Taking advantage of his stealth and Remiel's telepathy, he communicates with his companions while putting in his ear plugs and using his ability to read lips for any verbal communication the devils have.
Everybody hears a mental sigh, followed by Remiel's annoyed voice in their heads Kaylor says, and I quote, 'The devils are evil, especially the wendigo, which drives men to cannibalism, so Kaylor's fine with killing them. However, he thinks he's solved the riddle.'
In case anybody else wants to guess at the riddle, I'll put what Kaylor thinks the answer is behind the spoiler.
Riddle:
Well, if it were him, Kaylor says he'd let his brother win and split the dowry in return. But that's unlikely the answer. What's more likely is that each man jumped on his brother's camel's and raced around the city, thus forcing his brother to lose.
And if it looks like other people want to kill the demons, Kaylor will help out with an initial data dump on them.

The elk creature is a wendigo. It has DR/cold iron and magic, regeneration that is halted by fire, spell resistance, and immunity to cold and fear. It howls to scare its foes and falling asleep with one nearby is a bad idea.
The other creature is a horned devil. It has DR/good and silver, regeneration halted by good weapons or spells, immune to fire and poison, and resistant to acid, cold, and spells. Tends to stun enemies and cause them to bleed out. Also has a small fear aura.

I think web would be super thematically useful here. But I kind of get the impression from the rules explanation that wall of fire would be more useful.
Also, are we just assuming the swarm is in whatever area is convenient for us? Because if I did create a wall of fire, I'm pretty sure not all the squares it can target would actually have bugs in them.

Remiel helpfully pipes up. Some guy named Hakmothes, son of Hakotep and Neferuset. He was known for being a nerd, hence the relation to Thoth.
There's a pause. Then you hear Kaylor's voice dryly commenting from a different location than before. "So you couldn't get 'ankh,' but you got those names?" Remiel's only response is an impish grin.
Seeing he's not going to get a response, Kaylor sighs. "Elmar, is the statue just that or are we supposed to do something with it?"

That was exactly what he was suggesting. But one at a time. Because Kaylor isn't the type to suggest that he cast fly on the horse of someone he doesn't know and rely on that to carry everyone over.

Kaylor scowls as he's forced to speak up. "I can cast fly and carry people over." He holds up his handy haversack to illustrate. Fly isn't an air spell (And he doesn't use his 3rd level spells anyway). Neither is the spell to turn into a flying elemental. Although he'd autopass the spellcraft anyway.

Figuring that Elmar* will kill off the second scorpion, Kaylor uses his ring to turn invisible and starts looking for the entrance to the pyramid to do some scouting.

I agree that it'd be cool for Zuberu to have an actually challenging wrestling match. As opposed to something that just tries to get away and needs to roll a nat 20 to do so.

With +27 Kaylor auto-passes the nature check.
Everybody hears the helpful voice of Remiel in their head. Kaylor says that the creatures (obviously) have poison in their stingers. If they don't try to poison you, they'll try to grab you with their claws and constrict. They're immune to mind effects and have great fortitude but are relatively weak of mind and slow. Other than that, they seem pretty boring.
Remiel moves to be out of the way of the scorpions as Kaylor surges forward to attack the nearest scorpion, charging his weapon in a vermin bane, frost, flaming, shocking, and keen weapon swift action and casts maximized intensified shocking grasp.

Seeing that Zuberu no longer needs to be invisible, Kaylor shrugs and uses his ring on himself, silently following Zuberu downstairs. He stays just out of sight of the demon though, in case it takes being invisible and wielding a very sharp looking sword as a hostile action. Remiel the faerie dragon hovers around him, continuing to eat.
As he hears Zuberu talk, he grimaces slightly. If I got up just so Zuberu could hook up with another floozy...

So I got an item that increases Kaylor's int. As such, I now have skill points that I'm not sure what to do with. I'm thinking of either Knowledge History (as possibly the most useful knowledge skill that isn't maxed out), Linguistics (because who doesn't love speaking tons of languages?), or Acrobatics (because dodging. Or something).

A moment after Ankhet's shout, one of the doors opens to reveal...nothing. A second later when Zuberu appears, a loud groan from the middle of nowhere can be heard, followed quickly by a small faerie dragon flying into the hallway from the room. The small creature gives a toothy grin before shouting. "Aww, Zuberu! I thought you said you'd try to keep your wenches quiet this- Ow!"
The creature is interrupted by the door suddenly slamming shut, slightly nicking the creature's tail. Undeterred, he continues to grin, leaning over to fake whisper to the two in the hallway. "Not much of a morning person, is he?" With a wink the dragon buzzes down the hallway in the general direction of the kitchen.
Upon hearing Calardan's shout, the door to the room once again opens. A moment later it closes, this time more carefully. Much closer a short laugh is heard in response to Zuberu's comment as the tiny dragon reappears, its mouth stuffed with bread. "Mhmor mmphs-"
A rock whizzes past the dragon, who easily dodges, causing a scowling Tiefling with pale red skin and gold eyes to appear out of nowhere behind Calardan. He's wielding a finely made adamantine scimitar in his left hand and looks like he's considering if these newcomers are threats that he should kill.
Suddenly all can hear a voice in their heads that sounds suspiciously like the small dragon, who is still quite busy stuffing his face. Kaylor wants to know what's up. The Tiefling rolls his eyes as the dragon's choice of words.

geez, 31 is their touch AC a la adamantine weapon? Also, just a reminder, all our initial attacks were versus their flat-footed AC since they hadn't acted yet. Which is important because if my spell attacks miss, I still have that charge, so I'd want to avoid needlessly wasting more spells.

Actually, due to uncanny dodge, Kaylor can't be caught flat-footed unless someone feints, so unless it might get me AoO on the creatures due to their movement, I see no point in rolling. And due to fighting defensively, only the nat 20 hits.
Kaylor grins, barely noticing the creature's blow. Instead he strikes right back at them, activating his boots.
If one of the elementals next to him still looks pretty healthy, he'll also blast a quickened shocking grasp. Let me know if this hits/misses/doesn't happen because he still has the charge if he misses. I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be doing with the map since it's not really clear where there's stuff and where's there's not. And obviously I don't want to just move in 5ft increments asking if there's anything to be seen yet. So for now I've just moved Kaylor to where there looks like there is something.
Either way, Kaylor will take lead with his stealthy, invisible, high AC-ness

Since Wall of Fire would not be as useful and I'm not sure from the description if he can hit everything with a line of acid, invisible Kaylor moves far out of reach of the swarms.
Remiel does likewise, taking advantage of his flying ability to wind up away from anybody else before using his wand of magic missile (CL7) on whichever swarm is nearest to Nahoçe/Zuberu/Elmar.
With several swings of his keen blade, Kaylor hits the undead monstrosity with deadly accuracy. Luck is surely with him this day. Seriously, 3/4 were crits
