I've been intrigued by the game since I saw it! Rolled Kayla up for another Iron Gods game that I joined mid-stream in the first adventure but it died out... (so I have a little knowledge but I won't meta-game or spoil anything!)
Kayla, like most rogues, is interested in finding lots of treasure and staying alive to enjoy it. A burglar by trade and trial, she is known around Torch as "that crazy tomb-raider girl..." When talking about Numerian treasure, she dreams of finding some thingamabob or whoseewhatsit from one of the ancient places buried under these lands!
Her prized possession is a small, circular device with a multitude of tiny gears and springs and rocking arms that once moved around the face. It looks like a fancy timepiece, but the markings and various indicators are more complex than any clock you have seen before. She keeps it on a leather cord about her neck and usually tucked away securely, but occasionally, when she is alone or after a couple of drinks at the tavern, she will pull it out, rub the face, and be lost in a memory...

A gleam can be seen in Kayla's eyes as she looks into the hall, and when she hears that she gets 100 tokens an almost drunken grin spreads across her face, making her look even more like a little kid in a sweet store!!
"Come on, Preli, let's get into trouble again..." She grabs his hand and makes a beeline for the cage before they realize their mistake about letting them in and change their minds!

If you're a half-wit or not able to fight, you're safer in the temple. We go where the nasty things are..." the young half-elf says with a smile. But her eyes look the newcomer over carefully, as if appraising an old clock or a milk cow.
"We need to get cleaned up a bit and then head over to the Silverdisk Hall to answer our 'invitation'..."

She lays on the ground for several moments, badly burned and with smoke rising from her singed hair. koff, koff..."What in the lower levels of hell happened?" she asks no one in particular. Kayla tinkers with them again if the group is not in a hurry to move on. She finds it easier to take them apart than to actually understand what they do or how they work, though...

Kayla motions fort he others to wait, then slinks into the shadows and enters the passage. She sneaks along, looking for traps or dangers, until stopping before the door. Making it safely there, she will return to the others and have them follow her to the door, where she will then check the door for traps or triggers or locking mechanisms.

Seeing how ineffective her arrows are against these unique skeletons, Kayla takes an opportunity to sling her bow and draw her two swords again. She looks back at her colleagues engaging the last skeleton and decides they have things well enough in hand, so she advances to a spot about 20 feet south of Darian, looking to the east and south for anything else that might come their way.

Kayla stops suddenly and backs up slowly, motioning silently for the others to stop where they are. She keeps her eyes on the slowly moving thing inside the skull, ready for a sudden attack...
When she reaches the rest of the group, she will describe to them what she saw.

Satisfied the constructs are properly lifeless (at least for now,) Kayla proceeds to the next set of doors, examines them for traps or other surprises, and then opens them for a peek at what lies beyond...

With that stunt failing to activate the constructs, Kayla then moves into the room and checks the mechanical creatures to see if they are disabled, and if not to see if she can disable them herself...

Kayla was afraid the big metal thing was going to do this...which is why she tried to sidestep it! But her insatiable friend just had to touch everything... She swipes at the construct with both short swords by reflex and training, barely thinking before the blades move. Unfortunately, the reaction is poorly timed and her strikes plink harmlessly off of it's metal plating.

"Sound like a plan?"
When the party agrees, she will draw her other short sword and sneak ahead of the group going east, looking for traps and other dangers...
