Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina straightens up putting a hand on the hilt of her scimitar watching the back and forth between the two. "The fact of the matter is that we are indeed assisting the guard as my companion here has pointed out. And since you are being dishonest it makes me wonder what you are hiding here. Now why don't you come clean and tell us exactly where your meat is coming from."
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina looked between her companions troubled with the enigma that had been presented to them and took several minutes studying the drawing of the building Alika had drawn out for them on the table. At Alika's prompting Katrina rose slowly to her feet adjusting the straps of her armor and weapons before retrieving the pack she had set down by her feet. "I suppose that there is no time like the present to investigate this butcher shop, and to get to the bottom of this mystery."
Female Half elf Cleric 1
After they are shooed outside of the office Katrina looks to Cassiel. "Do you know of a Sargeant Grau Soldado or a Vencarlo Orisini? She asked guessing at how the name was pronounced. "The captain had a list of deserted guards on her desk that I managed to get a glimpse of and those two were next to each other. It may be nothing that we need to be concerned with, but I don't think it will hurt to attempt to find out more about them." Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Katrina looks down at the portrait in front of her taking her time to attempt to memorize his features. "Killing should only ever be a last resort. If he, or any of his compatriots can be brought back alive, we will do everything within our power to do so." Looks at the picture, looks at Cassiel, looks at the picture, looks at Cassiel. I think we have our guy! I'll take 1000 gold now!:p
Female Half elf Cleric 1
"I am Katrina Tyir, a pleasure to meet you Field Marshal Kroft." Katrina said politely introducing herself before moving to take a seat where indicated folding her hands in her lap as she sat down. "We managed to avoid much of the rioting last night, but we did encounter a group of men assailing a nobleman this morning. Fortunately Cassiel was able to convince them to disperse before any great harm came to the man. We are eager to lend our assistance to the guard in their efforts to stabilize the city, the question remains 'What do you need us to do?'
Female Half elf Cleric 1
The opulence of the throne room set Katrina aback, as perhaps she reflected as they left, it was probably meant to. She had seen wealth before, in passing but such was beyond the meager means to which a cleric was expected to remain to. She remained silent as the queen spoke and never glanced away from the woman, now ruler of the city. As they exited the throne room the cleric finally found her voice. "I am, perhaps we can bring some peace to this city by working with the authority. Cassiel, what do you think?"
Female Half elf Cleric 1
At their demand Katrina unties the scimitar's sheath from her waist and passes the sword to the guards before doing the same with her shield in case they considered it a weapon. "Thank you for letting us pass. She said holding her hands apart displaying that she was now disarmed as well.
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina comes to a stop next to Cassiel and Velius keeping both of her hands in plain view and well enough away from the hilt of the scimitar at her waist. "As my companions have said, we are here simply to return an item we found to its legitimate owner. My name is Katrina Tyir, I am a cleric of the Dawnflower and I offer you my solemn that what we say is true." She offered trying to not give the archers a reason to loose their crossbow bolts. Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina watches as Cassiel places the ring on the table noting his reluctance to part with it. "Cassiel, you mentioned before we went to confront Lamm that you had grown close to a shopkeeper? If that ring belonged to her or to you, then I have no qualm with you keeping it." Katrina will pass on her part of the 37.5 gp of the party loot owed by Cassiel taking and keeping the ring.
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina glanced over at each of her companions as the spirit of Zellara identified each of the items before them. "I am not certain where we could sell these items but once things calm down I am certain some in the markets would be able to pay for them. As for the brooch, I feel we should return it as soon as it is feasible to do so."
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina stood silent as the ghost of the fortune teller appeared and began to speak to her companions. It wasn't until all of them seemed to have recovered from their states that she dared to snap out of her own reverie.
Female Half elf Cleric 1
As they enter the house, Katrina looks around confused for several seconds moving to where the table where they had all eaten had stood earlier. "It would appear that someone has gone to great lengths to deceive us. Master Alessio can you see if there may be any residue of magic on this building? Something that may help to explain what we saw yesterday?"
Female Half elf Cleric 1
"I agree. We should at least look into the fortune teller." Katrina had said at the paladin's suggestion setting out following the party into the streets. As they walked through the crowded streets the cleric could not hide the sorrow from her face at the scenes of violence and destruction ravaging the town and the inability of the guards to restore the streets to peace. As they walked she wondered what she could really do to help in this situation and not much came to mind. However she was snapped from her reverie as a solid force suddenly drove her from the path she was walking on nearly knocking her from her feet.
Female Half elf Cleric 1
"He has gone on to the next world. He will trouble you no further and you have now been liberated from his clutches. Now please come with us and we will escort you to the safe place we told you about." Katrina said softly to the child leading them towards the exit becoming aware of the growing chaos outside a look of shock taking over her features at the news of the king's death. The passage was uneventful as they walked along but Katrina could not help but ponder what this could mean for the city itself and let her mind slowly drift back to the 'fortune teller' and her warning remaining silent even as her companions were shown to rooms within the temple.
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina turned at the sound of the children calling down to her grateful for some excuse to turn her head away from the severed head. With a sideways glance at the paladin she moved to hurry in the direction of the children making out a silent prayer to her goddess for the soul of the fortune teller as she moved quickly towards the door they had came through back to where the children had lowered them. "What is it? Can you pull me back up?"
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina coughs and staggers back with the stench of the head assaulting her nearly losing the contents of her stomach as she moved back several feet. "Cassiel, Alessio, Velius! You need to see this." She called out covering her mouth and nose with her hand in an attempt to block out some of the smell.
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Pushing away several layers of dust Katrina finds herself drawn to the hatbox choking back the smell that seems to permeate the air from this box. "Sarenrae, please help me to resist whatever is in this box." She whispers calling upon the divine protection before drawing her scimitar and attempting to open it with some distance covering her mouth and nose with her other hand. She casts Resistance on herself and draws her scimitar (slinging her shield if necessary and then will attempt to use the scimitar's blade to flip up the lid of the box to see what is inside.
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina nodded her appreciation to the Paladin for joining in with her prayer and moved to follow him into the room ignoring, for her part, the sideways glances from the other two. As they walked into the room Katrina would take her time to check the room for anything else that might be present while Cassiel went for the chest. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Katrina removed her hand from the undrawn blade and gazed silently down at the body of Gaedren Lamm an unearthly mixture of emotions running through her. Part of her could not help but feel joy at the twisted man's death, another disgust at herself for feeling joy and yet another, perhaps the largest part, felt some sense of sorrow. In some far twisted way he had been responsible for the life she'd found with the temple of Sarenrae. Moving in her reverie Katrina walked around the body before coming to kneel beside it lowering her head in a silent prayer for the departed man before uttering a soft incantation of his final rites and a blessing to find peace in the afterlife. He had earned his fate through his deeds and she had faith that those deeds would be answered for in his final resting place, but if anything Sarenrae taught to bring mercy and light to the world. When she was finished she extended a hand out and closed Gaedren's eyes before rising back to her feet. "What we came here to do has been accomplished, however there is still places left to explore here. I suggest we finish searching the area before we return to the children and to our benefactor."
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Hoping that the alligator is distracted from the attack by the paladin and the larger man in front of it, Katrina will move along the plank carefully coming to a stop next to Lamm placing a hand on the hilt of her scimitar. Katrina will move along the walk way thirty five feet to S11 provoking an attack of opportunity from the Alligator if it can reach up to the planks.
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Moving past the paladin Katrina moves into the room with Lamm. "Surrender now Lamm and you may yet still find mercy. You cannot defeat us" With her offer offer of surrender in the air she began a soft prayer "Sarenrae please bless us in this upcoming struggle." Katrina moves up to y12 offers Lamm a chance to surrender and not waiting for his reply casts bless Bless +1 on attack rolls and fear saves for 1 minute
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Well I paused to listen for any obvious sounds coming from the other door. My intent was to be certain nothing was sneaking up behind us. I realize I rolled a 9 and probably don't hear much if anything and will assume nothing will jump out at us from that direction while we are looking at the barge (unless of course you suggest otherwise).
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina nods to the oldest child. It was much the way she remembered things being. She turned towards the paladin and nodded in the direction of the hole. "Down you go metal man. Try not to talk him to death before we can arrive." She turned back to the kids. "After you have lowered us remain here and we will return shortly once our business is done and we will personally escort you back to your families or back to safety."
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina nods to Cassiel glancing at the bleeding half-orc. "Yes, I will tend his wounds in a moment so that he does not bleed out." She paused looking back to the children gathering around her and nodded. "Of course I mean it. I used to be one of you and you have my word that I will do everything within my power to return you to your families or to safety. However, while we are dealing with Lamm you would need to wait here because the streets may not yet be safe." She explained to the children glancing over at the paladin for a moment to make sure he had at the very least disarmed Giggles before once again uttering a soft prayer releasing a wave of healing energy. Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Upon seeing the Monk injured, Katrina reached for her holy symbol uttering a small prayer to her goddess before raising the symbol into the air releasing a wave of positive energy healing everyone except for Giggles and the unconscious gnome. Channel Positive Energy, Selective Channel Giggles and the gnome. Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Katrina looked to Cassiel and nodding in the direction of Alessio. "He is right. I feel it would be unwise to ask the children to walk unescorted through the city's streets, and our mission here is of the utmost of importance. We cannot afford a delay or else Gaedren might escape and restart his activities elsewhere. We must end this today." She paused and looked to the children themselves and walked forward towards them calmly. "Lock down the room as best you can and wait for two hours. If we have not returned by that time you should attempt to flee. Head to the Temple of Sarenrae and tell one of the priests there that you are in need of temporary sanctuary and that I sent you. You will know it is us when we return because we will knock three times and call out 'the dawn brings new light.' Please, trust us and we will see to it that Gaedren nor any of his men harm you again. I was once one of you and I will do all within my power to see that you are freed from him."
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina sighed with a mixture of relief and exasperation as the children began to attack the grappled gnome. At least they were healthy she thought to herself before adding her much softer voice to the fray attempting to calm the children down. "Easy children. I know how you feel but right now you need to entrust the fighting to those more skilled. Please put aside your pitchforks." Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 Seeing the children in decent enough condition Katrina will try to help stop the attack with pitchforks.
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina upon reaching the room will look in to see the situation mostly under control already with the monk heading to take care of the oldest boy. She will wait in the back assessing each of the children looking for anything she might be able to do to help them before setting them free. heal check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26 Just looking to see if any of them have any injuries or such that may need to be treated.
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina moved over to take a look at the wound and nodded to the questions. "Yes I believe that I can." She said as she pulled at the holy symbol at her neck. With a softly uttered prayer she held the holy symbol out and released the burst of positive energy given from her goddess. "The dawn brings new light." Channel Positive Energy, Selective channeling out the Dog and the unconscious individual in the room. Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Upon seeing their efforts to calm the dog having failed Katrina let out a soft sigh moving five feet to her left calling upon Sarenrae's divine fire. Extending her free hand she finished her prayer sending a bolt of fire towards the dog in front of Velius. Firebolt Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 1 - 4 = 5 damange: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 Katrina five foot steps over to I13 and casts a firebolt at the dog.
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina makes her way carefully past Alessio and Cassiel towards the sound of the barking dog and away from the banging on the door. "Whoa boy, easy there. No need to be alarmed.' She said holding her hand out in a calm manner trying to calm the beast. Move action to I13 and handle animal (untrained Charisma) check to calm the dog. Handle Animal: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Heal: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 Katrina gives the acid burn a look over making certain there was nothing further. "I can heal you now if you desire, but I only have a few uses of my clerical abilities." She can channel energy 5/day and I have 2 spells to sack for a cure light wounds if necessary. Katrina will drop a channel energy if you want or ask her to but for now I'm holding off.
Female Half elf Cleric 1
Katrina pauses to help the paladin to his feet all too aware of the creaking sounds the floor was making. "Perhaps a more cautious approach for us is advisable." she offers the Paladin before moving to carefully walk into the room and towards the Monk and the unconscious man taking stock of the Monks injuries attempting to discern how much healing to call upon from her goddess.
