I've been going off of my character sheet the whole time, yes. This is the first time I've actually played this character (made with GM credit), and I was simply using the numbers I had put down. I assure you it was an honest mistake. I designed the character to be a high-damage archer, though obviously I should have realized that those numbers were too high at this level. Again, my apologies for my (perhaps egregious) error. It would have, at most, made a difference of 3 points of damage on anything that isn't a crit. And on this particular crit, the damage on a longbow is x3, so:

Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

OH NO! I'm so sorry, I entirely screwed up my character sheet. Take off 5 damage from that shot. That's what I get for making the sheet too quickly...I had PBS and Deadly Aim activated on Hero Lab and didn't realize it, so I added those bonuses twice...it's fixed now.

Glancing to the east side of the lodge and assured that her companions have things under control, Kaelyn keeps her focus on the stairs.

Something strange is going on up there.

Seeing the final bandit fall (presumably), Kaelyn moves into the room, looking around for a sign of where the chanting is coming from. She hears noise from upstairs, and so moves into position across the room from the staircase.

Kaelyn watches the wiry man approach and listens to him speak. When he finishes, she responds.

"I have some skill in tracking, so I can help as we enter the Wood. Strange things are afoot here, though, so perhaps we should gather as much information from town as we can before entering."

Pausing for a moment, Kaelyn continues.

"Bandits seem strange to me as well. A fine group of rangers, the High Sentinels, usually patrol these woods, so it seems odd that bandits were able to attack a caravan on their watch."
