Looks OK to me ...

It's a new (to me) sort of cert layout from Paizo, not seen that sort before.


Thanks GM, that was fun really enjoyed it. Also enjoyed having a 5th level character to play...

Also thanks to the crew, enjoyed your company on the trip.


Kaako sighs with relief as she sees the bones fold, "Well me mateys, Jalden seems to have got the better of this giant bag o' bones. Ahaa! treasure awaits!"

But before she can search for the treasure, she watches as Cawlo starts into a secret passage... She strides boldly after the metallic bird, but her beak drops when she hears that there is no treasure.

See the ship, Kaako gives a whoop of joy, climbing onto the ship, she grabs the rigging and leans outward, her rapier in one hand standing 10ft above the deck. "The salt sea beckons, better than any treasure, let the sails fill and the hunted become the hunters!" She lets the wind ruffle her feathers her rapier pointed towards the blue shy, a wild happiness across her body.

"Come Lavanna, Elsir, Jadren and Cawlo, adventure and treasures await!"


Kaako doesn't have the Attack of Opportunity feat, so can't make AoOs.

"Let's see if I can get you this time, Capn." but as Kaako makes a pig's ear of her first strike, she tries the magic again.

Kaakp does not have the AoO feat, so can't attack.


"We'll get the ole cap'n down, don't give up." laughs Kaako as he continues with his assault. However seeing that the arc did
not seem to trouble the big bag of bones, Kaako tries to damage the undead with his rapier once more. However every time he strikes, he seemd to find the space between his ribs, not managing to strike once. "Arhhh me hearties, his heart is hard to reach, his bones rattle and roll, but still I didn't hit."

Kaako disappointed that she only struck once, goes for a different tack. After striking with his rapier he squarks loudly "Bring the storm's wrath to me!" and a shot of electricity sparks from his feathers straight at the skeleton.

Kaako coming out of the shadows of cover, tries to stab the voice of the ol cap'n in the back.

Apologies for fighting in the discussion, I got confused and then the Paizo site was playing tricks on me! Well I'm using that excuse anyway ...

No idea if our old captain was a giant, but just felt Kaako would be giving her opinion anyway.


Kaako, with her rapier already in hand, moves behind one of the rocks and hides ready to pounce on his old cap'n. As she moves, she says "So we gonna mutiny against our ole dead cap'n. Funny word ain't it!"

"OK as you say Lavanna, you always were able to see through the veil of obscurity." Kaako says as she watches Lavanna make the final moves with the statues.


Kaako looks at the statues, and asks, "So which of these is worth the least, to go on the plinth with the copper coin?" she scratches her head. "So the sun is placed before the stars, so it cannot be the last one....hmmm" There is more scratching of heads....

"So the moon is either platinum or silver, last or third....well this is a riddle ...." her beak clacks as she opens and closes it.

"So if the comet is worth a hundred times more than the moon, then the moon must be silver and the comet must be platinum ... " her head moves to the side, as she considers....

"So with just copper and gold left, the stars and the sun must be placed .... oooh! it's a hard one." she clucks some more as she waits for her companions, "But we do know that the most valuable goes last... which is the comet. The stars are placed before the moon, but the sun which let me think ... is gold is placed before the stars. So we place, sun, stars, moon, comet on gold, copper, silver and platinum respectively." She tips her head to the side, "Well me hearties, you think we do it like that? You think the fates will be with us."


"Well, it seems that if we really be the Cap'ns best, if we be pirates, we should claim all but the longsword and spear, after all that's leaving a blade and spear. Not forgetting Lavanna's club and gaff." Kaako smiles at his mates.


Kaako takes out her rapier, "Not so much a blade as a deadly point, if you ask me." the tengu says with a smile. "Let's take a look inside this room for the treasure, leaving those weapons for those whose souls roll with the waves." She strolls in and takes her time looking through the cave, leaving the weapons alone.

As Jadren reveals the face of the coins, showing the 'Map of the Isles', Kaako pockets the gold coin in her pocket as she says gleefully. "Ahh ha! The fate say we should turn right and lets see whats 'Lost at sea, and remember that the one that is worth the most is the one that goes last. Like all good cap'ns, the last to fall is the Cap'n." She looks to Lavanna, Jadren and Max to see their response.

"Pay homage, and the one who is going last, well I say let the fates decide." she takes a coin from her pocket and looks at it, just testing it's metal in her beak. She looks at both sides of the coin, twisting it in her hands, "So the dragon's head; Pay Homage. The map of the isles; worth the most last." With that she flicks the coin in the air that glints gold as it spins and arcs in the air, before she catches it in her hand, holding it on the back of her wrist, with one hand that covers the coin. She extends her arm waiting for one of her companions to see what fate has decided.

1 or odd is the Dragon's Head, 2 or even is the Map of the Isles. Someone roll a dice to reveal the fates.


I forgot the deadly on the crit 1d8 ⇒ 5 to add a bit more damage


The initial roll was for the DC=5 to be able to have a manipulate action, cos I was grabbed by the ant. See grabbed

Kaako squawks in delight at the demise of the ant that held her. SHe straightens her feathers before circling around to get behind the big water beast. She dances into position before trying to stick the water creature with her rapier.

Ooo its a crit!! for double damage


NOt liking the position she's in, Kaako decides that she should strike at both creatures calling on her association with the storms of the oceans. Before trying to find a weak spot in the ant with her sharp pointed rapier.

Looks like Kaako's acrobatic stats as printed are wrong, will take it as +12 not +2. Yellow Kaako is round 1 position, Normal Kaako is where the leaptumbke through takes him.

"Rightho me hearties" Kaako says with a quick leap, Tumble Through 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20 as she tries to get into an advantageous position to strike at the ant harrying herself and Jadren. Once in position, Kaako makes two strikes at the yellow ant.

If crit kills first ant, then 2nd attack against the red ant


Just looking at Kaako's stats, his acrobatics in my copy is given at +2, but for this trained skill it should be at least 11 with his dex +4 at 5th level.

I assume the edit missed off the 1, so should be +12 (with one of the magic items accounting for the extra +1.


"Arrhh, me mateys, what say you we retreat and let the waterfall and the ants complete their fight afore we joins again?"


Kaaklo moves in to support Jadren and attacks the ant, "Here we go again Jadren, but ANTS....REALLY!!"

"Don't disturb them ant's over thar." she points to the western wall where a colony of ants are busy looking after themselves. "Upset them and we got problems!"


Kaako asks around, "Map, who's got the map. What do we have to do here? It's not my bit." the tengu looks at the map. "Lavanna, looks like that's your woman, eh? This'll be fun, we got to give her a present. Well me hearties, what should we give her, eh? An then, we have to face whatever the storm gods have got to throw at us. We ready?" the rogue makes a show and poses by the waters edge, her rapier pointing to the statue. She looks over the cavern.

Exploration - Search
Perception 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17


Kaako watches as Jadren touches the wheel, "Well turn it then Jadren, you ain't gonna hurt the ole cap'ns feelings you know. He ain't gonna shout at you for 'touching me precious'" the tengu laughs.


"I like the jib of your idea Lavanna, know the directions and we know which way to turn the wheel. Or do we just take the wheel from the ship to study?" Kaako scratches his head.


"Let's see shall we, what the state of our little home is in?" says the inquisitive Kaako, as she starts to look around the place, "Could do with looking under the waterline too!" she smiles. "Anyone else up for the guided tour?" as she starts to look and see what's keeping the ship from floating and how broken up she is.

Sailing Lore +9 to see how ship worthy the vessel is?


In you account, us Organised Play and create your own event and report it there. You will be given an event number when you create the event.


"You know maybe, getting this old lady up and sailing again wouldn't be a bad idea, if we could lift her with the tide, ahh I don't know riddles .. not my best feature." she says striding in her boots across the driest part of the sunken wreck. "I mean can we get her up?"


Kaako ruffles up her feathers, before smoothing them down again with her beak, making them hold as much air close to his body to increase her buoyancy. "Come Cawlo, my Cap'ns little bird, off to see what's left of our old home." she says as she plunges into the water, her rapier held in her beak, keeping it dry and out of the salty water.

Athletics 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27

Upon reaching the Brass Bird, her heart and soul sing to the seas as she feels at home once more, Best of times with my family was spent here!

Kaako sees the soggy wooden mess of what were once their private lockers, the deep reddish brown wood and tarnished brass handles still there, the doors closed, but the locks broken. Nevertheless she cannot but take a look inside, maybe the pure white pearl is still there, though she holds out little hope.

Grasping the handle, she pulls the door towards her surprised to find a silken cloth map. The magics set into the map have obviously kept the contents from harm, but the map is but a fragment of a larger one. As she looks at the cloth the very faint lines react to her touch, and become darker and easier to see, words appear. "Lest at sea, the one that is worth the most always goes last." she blurts out as she reads, before looking around to her companions she coughs apologetically, "Have I told you that before, what my old father used to say whenever we went searching for jewels at the bottom of the seas."


"Aye my friends, he was a good cap'n, but now we gotta rescue what was his an' save it from being lost forever." Kaako take a bottle from her pocket, raises it up, "Who's gonna join me for a last drink to the ol' Cap'n Renlock, 'is luck ran out, now's time for the lady to join us and follow the stars, to the sands that sustain our lives. So little pretty Cawlo, stay with us, we are the crew now, eh?"

She stands, looking longingly at the submerged ship. "Do you think that Gozreh might give her up to us, has she spared the ship enough for us to salvage her?" the tengu asks, as she jingles the coloured bands on her wrist, We should look inside the wreck, if nothing else!
