Sorry for the absence. I'm still checking in, but I'm finding it harder to post here.
A lot of why I was so involved with this place was the interactions too, but when people's presence is more sparse and it only feels like a couple of people are about, you lose a bit of that. During a lull in site activity, I ended up stumbling onto another site that focused on a series I was fond of and decided to take a look, and from there...well, I integrated into the community, and made new friends there.
I do love you guys, and I love the stuff we do and have done, but I'm not going to lie and say I'm invested here in the same way now, now that I've stumbled onto somewhere else where that craving for social interaction has been satisfied in a way I never would have thought before.

I don't intend to vanish completely, and I'll be perfectly happy to talk with you guys if that's something you wanna do, but I don't think I'm going to be actually participating so much any more the way I did constantly once upon a time.
So, yeah, that's the story. I thought I should give it rather than leave you wondering what was going on.

I was wondering who Phil was for a moment there.
Then I checked back on the Ao's update...and then on my own reply to the obligation prompt.

I have inadvertently invited horror unto that poor manticore.

In any case, I find myself a little lost as I curse my loss of save data - mainly as to the basic overview of the mission that keeps going awry. I feel like I should know well enough, but I'm struggling to gather a solid enough image in my head that I have enough internal context to elaborate on my prompts.

Could I have a little help here?

Sorry about the radio silence, by the way. My sleep schedule's been a little screwed up, and it's done a number on when and how long I'm awake.

Male Iris

There's an interesting thought...

Are Yokai Pacts still a thing that happens, then? How common are they?

It's not like I'm enjoying this or anything: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3

It would be almost funny that the physical gods that govern them were such gigantic nerds if it wasn't so exhausting. Never mind the centaur's fitting or the fact it wanted its robes in a completely different style every five minutes - the two Erohin were insistent on as much authenticity as possible, and that meant running around like a headless chicken (Note to Self: Find the cockatrice handler, the young ones are getting overexcited again) trying to meet their demands as they arose without stepping on too many toes. He remembered what it was like the first time he had to deal with this, and it was one of a few memories he tried his hardest to suppress.

Oh, and Avis was declaring his profound distaste for that manticore again, something made more infuriating by the fact he knew it was utterly innocent. Still, Avis made a point of denouncing it at every opportunity between - and sometimes during - interrogations.
He'd tried to find out the story behind their irrational hatred a couple of times, but at this point he just assumed that they stepped on Avis at some point and the yokai never got over it.
The thought of the yokai that made a habit of shooting out of nowhere to surprise people getting caught off guard was his sole solace in the moment, sometimes.

Male Iris

Nope...can't see anything else I can think applies. 4 it is.
Guess it's time to look at the exchange rates for XP to benefits.

Male Iris

Thanks. That helps.
What distinguishes between getting 1 or 2 XP from a prompt?

Male Iris

Some help with XP prompts would be much appreciated at the moment. I'm not sure where I stand after how this all went.

Male Iris

Huh. Moving on, then.
Guess I shouldn't have sat out.

Hoo boy. Seems I have fun times ahead.

Male Iris

Ouch. That's...rough. Honestly, I wouldn't have guessed, but that's neither here nor there. What matters right now is how you're doing. The rest comes second.
Not gonna tell you not to worry, because that's a really dumb thing to ask right now. Easy to say stuff, but with problems like these, doing anything is rarely as easy as saying things about it.
That, and it's perfectly fine to worry about things anyway. We all do. It can be worse some times than others, but to worry at all is a natural thing. Little strange to think about sometimes, but it's the truth.

Big or small, your problems matter. Even if it feels stupid, it's worth taking the time to think about what's wrong if something feels wrong.
Won't do anything instantly...but it might help you get through it.

Well wishes, Chessa. You've got my support.

Male Iris

The dark gods demanded a sacrifice, and the uptime was it.

Male Iris

Not been waiting on you, personally. Didn't think you had anything much to do right now.
Also, I...think we might have lost Elsine.

In any case, there was talk of splitting the party before, but ah...this awkward. This is definitely awkward. Two people doing stuff in this mission, and Bastian, all seemingly waiting for other people to jump in who are (in my case) waiting for another mission that they can't do in this mission timespace if they jump into this mission, waiting on some other point to jump in, or just might not be there in the first place.

Whatever's going on...this kinda isn't ideal.
We probably want to get this sorted out before long. Figure out what's happening.

Male Iris

Hey, I voted for the two I'd most like to go for!

Male Iris

Assuming the relevant information is available, cleansing Ao and reclaiming the eggs would be the priorities, in that order. Preventing a fall is a very obvious priority for Junpei, as would be ensuring allies - if not in the form of a reconstituted Shuji, then at the least in the form of the yokai spawned of him.

EDIT: Promise-wise, I've got two more.
Forgotten - "I'm not letting Tracy suffer any more scarring, whatever that takes."
Doomed - "Cygnus can't get stuck in this mess too, and she won't."

Male Iris

Harder coming up with anything interesting than I thought...I don't quite have an enough of an idea what's going on with or between everyone to be aware of what would be fun.
Honestly, I'd love one of my remaining promises to be the product of some catastrophic screw-up on another 'run', that...just so happens to be hard to keep before everything's beyond saving.

Your promises relate to one of the other PCs. As grand as what I've just seen is, they don't seem to specifically relate to anyone else.
Not to mention a simple 'Protect Everyone' statement is far too easy to chase.

Male Iris

I don't think Doomed is reserved, but that won't come up quite now anyway - Paradoxical is what I was struggling on, and thanks to you, I've got something.

If anyone wants my help with their prompts, feel free to ask, but I can't think of anything right now to fit them.

EDIT: Tracy? Do you have any ideas of something I could use for my Forgotten promise prompt?

Male Iris

Then all the more reason to make up for lost time, no?

Male Iris

I know...but I didn't think they spent any more of their downtime actions than that.

Male Iris

It sounds more like he's talking to Tracy if anyone. That doesn't sound to me like talk for Sora or Chessa.
How come Tracy only has one Downtime action left? I thought they got 3?

EDIT: Welp, beat me to it

Male Iris

Looking at it, the Unlikely Hero has one move that lets them ask questions from other people's lists when using Empathize to gather information from Agents of the Darkness, and another word that straight up gives them another die when gathering information about people's emotions. That one also gives them the ability to do exactly what I was just confused about Cygnus being able to do or not, for free.

It would suggest that gathering information can be its own action, just by the way it's worded. There just doesn't seem to be anything written up for the action.

Male Iris

...oh shoot, he'd not given the explanation this run round. Crap.
Alright, what would he divulge this time...? Harder to know what was a landmine this time round. He never really dealt with Cygnus in this capacity.
Well, there were those three times come to think, but with the kind of hell that had ended up being and how soon he'd had to go back after, best not to look at those.
So...right.

"The darkness gets everywhere, and you can't always be sure who's working for it...'blackbird' aside." He didn't doubt Nobody - he knew the signs. "Other than that, though? The only reason you're able to get here is that Magatama. If you didn't have it, you'd never have reached this place. And they do more besides. Watch - little magic trick."
He holds up his magatama to Cygnus, and then lets himself fall back, dropping out of the area. Not barely a moment later, another girl enters the place, ginger hair flowing to the hips as she takes delighted steps toward Cygnus in a dress of red and gold. Sparkling sapphire eyes and an almost euphoric smile are turned her way, before she holds up a familiar object.
Junpei's magatama, the golden flecks now moving across the red surface.

"I can't say I know all the tricks, but I hope this one at least convinces you there's more to this than a pretty bauble."
Iris presses the magatama back in her palm and sighs, her eyes closing as she enjoys the feeling of another form again. "It feels good to be able to do this again."

Male Iris

I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to answer that right now, Cygnus?
If this is from you investigating the darkness, I think any questions from that go to Bastian, and as has been said before revolve around the info you've gathered from making it.

Come to think, I'm not sure how much the Gather Information list sees use outside outside of darkness investigation.

Male Iris

Come to think, the "how to format your text" bit won't even open for me anymore.

"Well. Wasn't expecting to see anyone else here...well, good to see you all the same. Get comfortable, I'll answer any questions you've got in a moment."

Those were Junpei's first words when he first encountered everyone at the hideout.

Welcoming enough, but to those with an eye for such things, it's pretty clear he's handling the sudden arrivals far too well. No scramble, no little adjustments, no uncertainty in the slightest - he goes through it all like he's done it a thousand times.

Still, he's been warm and friendly the whole time, as if they'd known each other an eternity and not a few days. When he's not helping out, he can be spotted working on little accessories and clothing alterations - as best as one can with limited resources.
Occasionally, there are a few quiet lamentations as to not having access to the wardrobes or a proper workspace yet, spoken quietly to himself in a tone that most wouldn't be able to properly hear.

For the moment though, he's gone to grab Cygnus for a moment. As tough as things could be with Nobody and Tracy, he knew he couldn't really make many moves regarding the latter at this stage that'd work out for the best...and to tell the truth, there were a couple of things he needed to double check.
And learn...Cygnus was the one member of the group he wasn't used to being in the hideout.
"Managed to cover up the record of the magatama you got, but there's still stuff I'm wondering about. Anything particularly strange about that day or the procedure you can remember? Any idea why it was there?"

BastianQuinn wrote:
No one has transcended yet. We know it's...tied to tarot cards

Did we actually settle on that one? I remember some speculation on what we'd match to, but I don't remember actually picking it as a transcendance theme.

Male Iris

"Always a good thing to know a little first aid." Hence why he'd already made a point of learning before. He was no professional, but he was good enough.
Avis didn't need to know about that, though.

And...that's where it came from...this was new to him. The question was, how did it get there?
And...where was it every other time...?

What really happens/happened here?
What here defies the flow of time?
What events are already in motion here?

Male Iris

Mercy's temple was a busy place right now. That was only natural, given what had been going on. Most of the time, it saw far more use in the future too.
But the constant flow of people to be treated wasn't what drew him here. No, there was something else...
Something different had happened here.

Everything came back at the Hideout. All the knowledge he had garnered, gifted to him in the form that he might best see through it. The logbooks the magical system provided were certainly a help in that, constantly expanding as he filled them with all sorts of notes.
But he didn't need to refer to them to know that Cygnus and Astre weren't supposed to be there. To know why he had gone to take that other magatama, and to know that the plans he had laid out had more to account for than he'd known -
Something was different this iteration, and he needed to know what.

Junpei worked through the clinic, practiced routines and slowly accumulated knowledge helping him insert himself into the flow of Mercy's temple, helping out how he knew he would be permitted to if he asked and taking the opportunities he could to learn and observe as he went through the place.
He'd learned so much here, in other times. He'd gotten familiar with the place as best an outsider can, gotten to know it in more depth than any knew.
Enough to know, at the very least, when things were not quite how they were before.
Subtly, he peered into the workings of the temple, a careful eye and a practiced tongue rooting out the little details as his mind put them together.

Male Iris

Not sure what to do with both of my actions.

For at least one, I'd figure it in character to find out why Astre and Cygnus are there.
As was said when we were establishing Fated Person stuff, before, it was just Astre, and he shouldn't have really showed up now he'd made off with his old magatama.
Now, it's both him and Cygnus, making two unexpected faces.
Only natural from there to try and find out where Cygnus got her Magatama.
Not sure what action that is.

Definitely less sure for the other. I'd assume with his memory back he'd take a little time at the very least to help get everyone else to grips with their new powers, try and act as a mentor that had been working on this for a bit rather than go in as clueless as the first time this happened, but otherwise, I don't have much.

Male Iris

You know, I got it into my head that it had been said magatama let you literally poof over from wherever you are, for some reason. Looking it over, though...

BastianQuinn wrote:
After some experimentation, you each find that these trinkets allow you access to a place outside of this world where the youkai cannot find you.

Yeah...doesn't actually say that specifically...don't know where I got the vanishing in midair thing from.

Just another thing to work over.
The latter part is interesting given Chessa's presence though, is it not?

Chessa, Enigmatic Nekomata wrote:
Chessa is the name that chose her! So until someone else comes up with a suitable name for totally-not-Chessa, she'll likely go by the name 'Nobody' with a grin. :)

I kind of love this.

Male Iris

How so? I don't think I made any particular conflicting reference to Astre's gender.

If it's about the talk of a blonde woman, I'm on about Chessa.

Also, having a gender identity? Shame on you!

Male Iris

Swooping down into the gardens, Junpei can be seen in uncomfortably bulky gear, seeing to some of the yokai down there. Some might claim the heavy wear was only for protection in case of an event with younger or more impulsive yokai...not Conquest, though.
All this weight piled upon him had, and always would be, a way to train his body, and he was certain that it only got heavier when it was thought he had adjusted to the weight it was currently at.
Not that he'd ever managed to prove that. At least it actually protected him when he needed it.

This was where he'd find it...there. After checking over a few other points to make it at least seem like he didn't already know where to go, he plucks the object he'd been seeking from where it'd managed to get twisted into the dryad's root system, the gold-flecked, burnished red magatama squirrelled away quickly and securely.
His current state of wear had more use than training.

Once his work was done, and the unbearably heavy protective wear removed, he quickly manoeuvres to where he'd been told Astre found his own...there. One more magatama. The purple crescent bead is tucked away once more, possibly to be slipped to the blonde woman that the others would soon know well...he, even more so. It took a long time to notice, but she always reacted to this particular magatama the first time she saw it.
He didn't remember if it was hers before...that hadn't come back to him yet. It wouldn't, really, until he used his own. All he knew right now was that it felt really, really important that Astre not find it...many other people for that matter.
...could he stow it somewhere in the hideaway? He'd have to try if he hadn't already.

----

Alright...private location, magatama in hand...red and gold fluctuating as the power within felt its call. As much as he wanted to see if he could still go between as he had when he'd first gained power, he couldn't remember if that was something that happened the first time, if at all, and it was likely better to go with a recognisable face if he had the choice...
Well. Time to head over, then.

He pulls on the magatama.

And memory floods in.

Male Iris

...I just realised something.
What does Chessa go by when she's drawing on the magatama to change her appearance?

EDIT: Alright, there we go. That's a thing until I notice something that doesn't feel right.
If I somehow didn't make it clear, the idea was that before, Astre managed to stumble onto the one of the magatamas that Chessa had hidden. Instead, Junpei's used his limited memory to pre-empt that, not fully understanding why yet.

While some of the specifics of magatama usage haven't been nailed down yet, we've, at the least, already seen Chessa use one to change her appearance.
I'd actually like to be able to do that myself, if nobody has an issue. Junpei before had something of a twinned sense of identity, mainly revolving around his gender, and I'd like to play with that again.

Male Iris

Duly noted. Changing to Malice, disrespecter of doors.
I mean, really, it's a perfectly natural pick for him.

Chessa, Enigmatic Nekomata wrote:
I don't recognize Solomon.

Just noticed that one.

Pretty sure they were who Paresh called on in Season 1? Not that we really saw any of that.

EDIT: I forgot to say.
I believe I'm going with a run 0.X sort of thing right now. Would just be run 0, but I saw something in one of my updates and decided to go with that as the logical followthrough. Until he's got his magatama, it's a sort of fragmentary thing, with some but not all of the info of his future runs.

Male Iris

Mercy. Definitely Mercy. Mainly decided upon from when they showed up in a spoiler with Tracy.
...though I suspect that may have actually been Malice, going by the naming scheme used afterward and the statement just made. That, or it's Mercy has just been referred to as Malice from there.
Given that the ooc text says that they're an embodiment of ill intent and that there's meant to be some irony because of that, I really don't know what to think, here.
Whichever one of those two was present was the one to take dibs have their need seen to.

Also...I may have forgotten how I was planning to write my intro.

Male Iris

I currently have Benji/Mercy down for my friend/enemy pairing, but I find I'm not too informed of all the ramifications.
There are things to be defined with Benji, and I don't know Mercy too well.

Benji Recap:
For all unaware, Benji was an NPC in the previous game I have a personal interest in, who was the previous user of the ability set I'm using as my playbook basis. Or at least, the previous iteration of it.
In his case, he experienced the world in the form of a dating sim, and honestly believed he was playing one, acting in the role of cryptic seer with the knowledge from his runs and striving for the best ending(s) and 100% completion...up until a use of my character's magic ripped what he had away and firmly anchored him in the reality we live in, shortly before the Cataclysm.
Whether or not it really was a game for him before, it isn't now.

I expect it will have been a rough adjustment.

Male Iris

Depends on if it's yours.

Male Iris

Gahhhh...I have been repeatedly ill in the recent weeks. I hope this is the last of it, because it is seriously grinding on my nerves.
Anyway - my apologies for the hold-up. Hopefully, there won't be much more of this.
...this feels so clunky.

It was hard not to sigh at Sora's caution around the Yokai. Necessary, yes, but no less distressing. The last thing she needed was anything keeping her tense at the moment, and it was all the worse for the fact he couldn't reassure her it was alright to drop her guard and relax. Not now, anyway.
"Good to hear." 'As well as can be' didn't actually mean good overall, but in times like these, 'the least bad possible' was often something to leap for. If she actually had that, then it was at least some comf-
...he was over thinking this. Not the time for that.
His eye flicks to the nekomata as they leave. It'd always seemed curiously responsive to Sora, all things considered. Had to be a story there, but he didn't quite know right now if he'd ever gotten it...not that he had the chance to now, with...he was never going to say order called, the only way that ever happened in these affairs was if they literally called in Harmony, but with people paying attention to more than their own petty squabbles.

He waits and listens attentively throughout the proceedings, making sure to correct his memory of events as they happen. He winces at Tracy's outburst, the events seeming even worse than his limited recollection. But otherwise, he remained reasonably static, reacting as might be expected from him, up until...the eggs.
He would never be used to that. God, he was barely putting up with the smell right now.
As is his duty, he retrieves a pair of gloves and the fabrics that would cradle the eggs - measures to ensure he would not make contact with them. Each egg is gathered, to then be presented to Mercy, for them to take their pick of the selection - they were currently due two. The rest are brought back over to Conquest, and Junpei finds himself glad he won't be present for the almighty argument that would follow later.
...he makes sure to get away from Conquest as quickly as possible.

Egg Distribution:
Dear God, I hope I never get dragged into the mess that is "Distribution" again. I knew it would be bad, but not THIS bad.
I'm not being dramatic when I say it's basically open warfare. They tell us they go to each other based on who it benefits most, but really, they're using their charges to compete with each other to see who gets any of the eggs...or god forbid, the vaunted "Need" if been seeing to all the time.
Dibs. I had hoped "Need" actually resembled anything like what it sounded like, but it's dibs. First pick to whoever can upstage everyone else beyond hope of dispute.

No wonder Conquest is the one looking after these things. He basically has to fight everyone else off, and the only thing stopping him from abusing his privileges here like just about every other Erohin would is the fact he'd prefer to claim ownership by stomping everyone into the ground during the competition rather than just playing dirty.
...just playing dirty. I don't care what he says, I saw some of those tactics, and they were nothing short of brutal.
NEVER. AGAIN.

Male Iris

Well, if we're going this way...

Not sure for Ao, but I would have placed Hierophant there over Magician.

I don't know Astre, but I'd probably lean to Tower over Judgement simply because of what Judgement is.

Not sure where Hierophant comes from for Chessa...I'd lean Empress or Devil off what I see so far.

No calls I'd make on Cygnus or Raven.

Ohhh, Hanged Man seems all too fitting.

I'd actually go Emperor for Tracy right about now.

I have to say, I really like the Magatama/Unifying symbol thing. I like the points made for it.

If people really want the shrine, then Eyes is definitely a nice one...though personally, I lean Valkyrie, mainly out of curiosity as to what actually happens when it takes effect.

I like me some Hailstorm. It's brutal, unpredictable, and it keeps you on edge.

Male Iris

No ideas for unifying theme right now, but I'll say I like Tireless and Redemption for our abilities. Never Alone is nice to, but I think that one's better for a little later.

Obligation: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 5) = 10
Damn, dice like me too. Not as much as Tracy, but still!

Junpei waves it off, and though he hides it well, he'd rather not she touch him. Well...they, in their case. Someone had definitely adapted very well to life with the Erohin. "I can't guarantee that I'm afraid. It would be nice, but I've got to be where I'm needed in the end, and it's far beyond the likes of me to know what the future holds. He smiles amicably. "I'll be sure to stop by if I have the chance, though."

He looks curiously at Avis as he shows up, and then to the events unfolding as Malice enters with an utter lack of surprise. "I still don't know how you know these things sometimes, Avis."

He sighs as Tracy makes her reappearance, looking away in the way he ought to at the moment. "They're definitely doing themselves no favours at the moment. The last thing they need to do right now is call more attention to themselves." He shakes his head. Things were rough for Tracy, and only about to get rougher. He just needed her to stand strong til she could shine. "If you don't mind too terribly, there was someone I meant to talk to before duty called. It would be rude to leave them waiting."
He gives a polite nod to Tamara, and makes to approach Sora.

Noticing her talking with her Yokai, he figures it would be good to give her a heads up. "Sora! Sorry to leave you there. How are you doing?" He smiles wide and openly, a newfound twinkling in his eyes. Hopefully, it'd help her be at ease.

Male Iris

Cognition starts to flood in earlier than normal. Information he's not supposed to have, and certainly not now of all times. It's not all there, it probably won't be for a bit if the rest stays the same, but it's enough to tell him that something has changed - and he doesn't know what.
He fights down the headache ensuing from this early remembrance, and does his best to gather himself. Something was indeed wrong, this part always stayed pretty much the same since it was basically on autopilot without his memory to change it...but this was a unique opportunity to start learning things and influencing events.
...not too much, mind. He had no defence, yet. No way out. He was still struggling to recall what came next.
A little of the shine has come back to Junpei's eyes as he focuses in on Takara, more aware of the world around him and readier to for what's coming and he takes her hand.
Because really, that was a her, and he'd gotten more than enough practice in future to know how not to just say that aloud. "Good meeting you, Takara. I'm assuming things have been going well for you if Perfection thought to bring you here."

Male Iris

Am I the only one that thinks given the description given for Malice, it might be a fun idea to go with a Harpy?
I mean...I know I wouldn't be able to resist if it was me.

Male Iris

Back when the Jaculus had first been assigned to Junpei, his sudden appearances had reliably made him jump each time as he managed to always appear from seemingly nowhere, but now he was more used to it. He still wasn't easy to deal with, though, just from the sheer fact you never knew where he was or when he would appear...just that he was there, somewhere.
Junpei can't help but shudder at the thought of another disciplinary action. "Apologies, Avis. I'm doing my best."

He turns his attention to the...sudden crowd that had gathered around him. Almost like how it used to be. He felt a little more in his element as he looked over them all. He takes Astre's hand, shaking it in a familiar manner he had a hard time making sure didn't carry backward. "Well, if I'm doing introductions again...I'm Junpei. That-" He starts to gesture to his shoulder, only to find it suddenly empty. "-was Avis..." Would it kill him to stick around when he was doing introductions? It was only polite.
He shakes it off. No time to fuss over that. "That's Astre, who...I have to apologise, I don't think I've heard too much of you before now." He looks over to the duo of woman and cat that first approached him. "And these are Sora and Chessa, respectively...speaking of which..." He looks down to the cat at his feet, implacable stripe nagging at his mind. "Would you mind moving so I may see to the needs of Temerity?"

He would have winced at the response of the woman Avis had rebuked him over, but he wasn't sure he could afford even that much at the moment.

Male Iris

A weak smile creeps onto Junpei's face at the shift in Sora's disposition. She still had something left in her...that was good.
He still wasn't able to muster too much cheer yet, though. Too much resolve. Time hadn't come yet that he'd regained his trinket, and all the things that came with it, leaving him just as blind and downtrodden as he'd been at the start of it all just then.
Not that he couldn't still change what he did then as well...it was just much, much harder.

Before his old self could even utter a word to Sora, though, the grinning cat that accompanied her interrupted them both. He gives a brief look of apology to Sora, before looking down to Chessa and giving her a smile that wasn't quite so pristine as it was back when he still worked in the cafe. "Junpei. And it's indeed nice to meet you. I'd introduce you to Avis, but I don't know where h-they're hiding at the moment." Presumably, he'd found a perch in the room somewhere he couldn't see. Hard to know where that speedy devil was til he was shooting through the air.
He looks up from Chessa to...her charge. "Good to see you again too, Sora...hope you've been managing to cope with all the changes."

His eye can't help but be drawn to the other woman in the room with a certain sense of longing, that desire to have the freedom of gender identity back the way that she managed to hold onto hers somehow. His gaze pulls away, certain imprinted trainings from a time yet to come preventing him looking at her longer than was ideal for the moment, but the want doesn't fade so quickly.

Crayons. Why crayons? They'd always insisted on them, but he'd never known why they'd taken to them so quickly.
...or rather, which of the Erohin had ended up demanding them. Funnily enough, he didn't think it was Frivolity. He wouldn't be surprised if it was Brilliance. Sh...they...always seemed to be trying to play with even the other Erohin. It was never certain what sh- THEY were thinking, but they always had something from what he's managed to learn of them.
Dodging the pronouns was still hard. Neither he, or she, had gotten used to it yet. It was something the two of them had to be careful of with the Erohin.

In some ways, failure hadn't turned out too badly for Junpei. He'd lost weight. His uniform was made from fabrics he could only have dreamed of getting his hands on before. And for all the problems that had come with this shift, Chusuke had gotten lucky with his assigned role and Erohin. It was honestly a little relieving to know he'd managed to get through this well in the end.
But failure was failure, and it was still crushing. He'd lost so many of the things he'd loved, the second identity he'd found as he'd become a magical girl originally couldn't come to the forefront in the same way it had in those couple of days...not that it mattered anyway, since even if he could switch between those bodies as before, these damnable outfits would conceal their differences.
Even after so long, and having had it so briefly, they still missed that.

As Junpei finishes setting the table, and steps back to avoid the building argument between Erohin, all he can do is sigh sadly as the nekomata assigned to attend Sora decides to make sure that he can't get anywhere.
...Sora. There was someone who really had suffered from all this. Seeing her state hurt him more than anything else.

Junpei's form had gotten fitter over the years...not that the details of that can really be seen, since the military-esque outfit he's been given to wear manages to be simultaneously form-fitting and concealing of his shape, smoothing over the features that distinguish his body type. His hair is cut short, and without his old dye and contacts, he's back to being black haired and brown eyed. The brightness and cheer has faded from his demeanour from what it used to be, leaving a certain sense of fractured resignation in its place. Standing at his same old 5'7", he simply remained quite and waited for it all to pass.

...what he wouldn't give to have his old wardrobe back. He regretted not at least trying on that old outfit he'd made for the rave when he'd...or at the time, she'd had the chance.

Ah, right.

It's not that...though for the record, I am sooo doing the latter. I just love the way that's worded, you have no idea.
I just don't want to thrust this on someone, since it's explicitly terrible things coming for them. That, and I'd prefer to work with someone interested in the possibility, to make this all work better - and to make it all so much more interesting than it would be otherwise

Still short a Fated Person and Dark Fate. Nobody's outright volunteered, yet.
I won't bug everyone about this after this. I'll just talk it over with Chessa or Tracy if nobody else is eager to fill in that role.

When will we be looking at the Promises?

Hello there! You were before my time, but it's good to have you nonetheless!

I'm going to say I think I've switched tracks as far as Youkai go. I remembered the original debacle where I first encountered my Erohin in the first place, and decided to pick something according to that.
So now I'm being followed by a Jaculus, otherwise known as the Javelin Snake.
The serpent association was too good to pass up. Now I just have to sort out the specifics of my obligation.
