My apologies for my absence. I was in the hospital last week with an unexpected surgery and only just returned to work last night where I found that Paizo is now a blocked site. I will try to keep up with this game as the posting rate is more relaxed than most games. It may be tomorrow before I can get caught up. Please bear with me.

When and how do you want us to call out mods?

Yeah, that looks right. Jospi has a bounty on his head as detailed in his background. Experience: 110 (Human, Corellian) + 20 (GM) + 80 (GM) + 10 (Obligation) = 220. The 80 points were detailed as play experience, so I didn't spend any of those on characteristics.

New expenditures (based on play):

Ranged (light) 0-1 = 5 pts.
Skullduggery 1-2 = 10 pts.
Vigilance 1-2 = 10 pts.
Gearhead 2 = 10 pts. (In anticipation of making mechanics checks for the party in adding mods to weapons.)

@DM Xyro - I have a rank in Gearhead; it halves the cost of adding a mod to an attachment. I take a second rank in Gearhead; it also halves the cost of adding a mod to an attachment. Does this mean I reduce the cost by 75%?

Jospi holsters his pistols and unslinging his pack, tosses it into the lifeboat before boarding it himself. "Best be quick about it. There's no one else coming."


Jospi keeps to the front of the group with his dueling pistols drawn. "Thrask, do not punch any doors open. Pollard, what do you mean by 'lifeboats'? Escape pods or actual ships? Be specific."


"Are you going to Lesbos? Tell me you're going to Lesbos."

<hangs his head in shame> I'm so inappropriate..."

Jospi leaves one of his dueling pistols tucked under his arm as he pulls out a comlink, "Lieutenant, it would seem that the Imps are setting up a heavy blaster in the living quarters to fire directly into the comms center; our only way to the life boat bay. Please rectify that concern."

To the admiral's assistant, "Pollard, please close the blast doors again. By the way, what are we going to find in the life boat bay? Anything more substantial than escape pods?"

Nodding to the other two rebels in the room, "We're going to have another squad heading towards us. Maybe we can pull off one more ambush if these newcomers are incredibly stupid. Get ready."


"Well, that went better than I thought." Jospi flatly states as he surveys his unexpected handiwork. Tucking one of pistols under his arm, removes the power pack from the other, replacing it with a fresh one. Once done, he repeats the process with the other.

Mid-exchange, the base rocks and he nearly stumbles, "Pollard, what was that?"


"Now, Pollard." Jospi says as he points both dueling pistols toward the blast door standing front and center. As the doors open, he fires both guns.

I increased the difficulty by one as stated in the book for using two of the same weapon, but I didn't know if we had any advantages/disadvantages or boost/setback dice for the ambush, so I didn't add anything, please feel free to add anything you think may be appropriate to the roll.

"Poodoo!" The former CorSec officer exclaims as both shots manage to strike the spaces between troopers. He steps to the side out of the doorway and begins to reload.

Using one advantage to recover strain, using one advantage each to give a boost die to Arannis and Djebelle, if I'm doing that right

Um, Thrask, GM stated you are stunned and have no actions.

"Right, dead end. Good to know." Jospi rises, drawing his dueling pistols as he moves to the doors he entered through only moments ago. "Pollard, release these blast doors. Keep your finger on the close button though, because we're likely to need them closed very quickly."

I have absolutely no idea how many actions it takes to stand, move and draw two guns. N00b!


Having worked out his 'surprise', Renning keeps an eye on the admiral's work. "Pollard, where does that door lead?" He asks, pointing to the as yet unused door.

Jospi nods at Ackbar's response, "Sure, admiral. I'll be happy to leave a parting gift for them."

First things first, a quick snatch and grab.

Jospi does a quick dump of as much information as he can before setting the computers to drop all of the force fields and open all of the blast doors if someone accesses these same computers.

Information acquisition roll: 0 successes, 1 triumph

Slicing trap roll: 2 successes

"We really don't want to still be on the station when they try to access these computers. Are stormtroopers armour hermetically sealed?"


Apparently, I cannot access the dice rolling site from work. I am happy with the last player slot in initiative as I am awaiting Admiral Ackbar's response before acting anyway.


"I can be of some help here at the terminal. Admiral, do you require assistance retrieving those files? Are there other files of importance that I can retrieve while you get those schematics? If nothing else, I can set some surprises for the imps when they try to access the mainframe." The Corellian offers as he pulls out a rather more sophisticated electronics package from his gear and begins to access the computer terminal.

"You know, I could still plot a route and send your freighter to the Pothor system. It wouldn't take much to remotely shut off the overrides and let it jump to hyperspace amidst the asteroids. Should be a spectacularly short trip." He adds optimistically.

Well, obviously ignore my last post.

Jospi actually looks up from the datapad at Mon Mothma's proclamation of there being a spy on the newly minted admiral's staff.

"Easily resolved. 'Disappear' one of your staff members and watch what the rest of them do. If the spy is among them, they'll tip their hand. If they don't, congratulations, you nabbed the spy."

Tapping anew at the datapad, the blond Corellian asks, "Pothor system? Let's start on plotting that course. Are you guys the YT-1930... um, Kessel's Folly? I can get her started up and have the NavComp start the calculations for the jump to the Pothor system."

Slicing check (2 successes, 5 advantage) I didn't know if our GM wants to roll the negative dice or if we do, so I just rolled the positive dice. I can roll the others if you want me to.


Still engrossed in his datapad, Jospi doesn't even look up as he moves to exit the communications room with the verpine and Pollard. "Hunh! That's interesting..." He idly remarks at something displaying on his screen.


Jospi looks up as the Sullustan approaches. He nods at the first question and gives a small grin at the compliment. "I guess they just need someone to keep an eye on this band of merry beings. I heard you when we entered. You must be pretty good on a stick to be a pilot." The Corellian's smile grow wide at this last statement.


Jospi, still tapping at his datapad, absentmindedly responds, "No."


The third, a human, took advantage of the trandoshan's histrionics to slip into the room and take up a position in an out of the way corner of the circular room. He watches the screen of a datapad intently focused on it as he quietly works.

DM Xyro:

Jospi is capturing the images of every one of the others and making discreet inquiries into their identities and histories including, records. He may no longer be CorSec, but the Rebellion draws many criminals into it's embrace and he would prefer to know who he is working with and how far he can trust them.


Sorry all, I didn't see that we had come into the game. I'll head on over to the game play thread now.

@Juviest Vood - No worries, mate! I can sit shotgun or anywhere else. I am ostensibly a mechanic, so I'm sure I can find something to do.

Sorry, I forgot to post again to say that fluff is done. I will check the IC thread and post some little thing so this shows up in my campaigns tab.

EDIT: Just checked the IC thread and you guys are mid-scene. I'll wait until it is time to introduce our characters.


Sorry all. Terrible long weekend. Played a Pathfinder module all day Saturday that ended with a TPK (with the bbeg having just 10 hp left) only to find out that the GM applied the shield spell twice bumping his AC to 26.

I am writing up the fluff now and then I will be done.


Apologies for the double post. A few clarifications and questions.

1. Forget Miraluka; I have decided upon Corellian Human.

2. If I have a Data Breaker, do I also need Slicer Gear? The description of data breaker giving 2 boost dice instead of just one for having the right tool for the job seems to imply that you do not need both, but GM clarification would be appreciated. Do both/either include a Data Pad?

3. This is my alias. Please let me know if the character sheet makes sense and is correct.

4. Fluff to come tonight.
