Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

......Hello? Is anyone still out there?

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

I sit and listen silently to my brother waiting for the dwarf to procede.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

"My heart would sing for joy if we were to even find one clue regarding big sister Haleen. That is the driving motivator for aiding this expedition. To find clues or, Sheyln willing, find Haleen herself. What do you sense brother?"

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

I look around. "So, do you think we have managed cleanse this place of the filth that has infested it? If so then we should finish scouting the area and report back to the lady."

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

What does the thing do? Jesail may cheat on his no looting policy if this thing would actually aid his worship of Sheyln. Or of some use other than to sell.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

I nod. "Just as well. I accept that which is given to me freely. However, I will only accept what I need. The rest is up to those who wish a share. In the meantime I will stand vigil less more of these foul creatures creep up on us as we go over our spoils." I have my crossbow fully loaded and ready. I am keeping a look out for anything suspicious.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

I look at the dwarf. "My good dwarf you seem to want every little item we come across. These items are of little value when the real treasure is restoring this sacred place to it's former glory. Why do you crave these menial items so?"

Or Chee should he be able to wield such a weapon.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

I lower my weapon and wrinkle my nose at the stench. "It's dead. Finally. Such a foul creature, it's musk only matches it's nature. Hopefully we just cut off the serpents head and we can finally cleanse this holy place of their filth. What do you say brother?" I say to Janos.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Rolling for HP=1d8 ⇒ 4

Guess I got 4. I will have my profile updated momentarily

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

I will be taking another level in Inquisitor but I wont be able to update my character until tomorrow night.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Problem fixed. According to the Verizon clerk my internet settings changed when my phone's battery died a few months back. So now I can post more regularly.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

I ready my crossbow and try yet another shot.
Attack:1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 6 - 4 = 9 For:1d10 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

As a move action I pull out the empty bolt cartridge and put the next one in.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

SCHOOL IS DONE! I will be able to post a bit more frequently however I cannot post while I'm at work, on occasion I work back to back shifts and have game nights on Fridays so there will be occasions where I won't post for sometime still....unless I get my phone to work somehow. Anybody know how to get a smartphone to post on Paizo? I'd appreciate any advice.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Sorry, lots of stuff happened yesterday.

I pull the bolt back and fire again at the pug king. Attack:1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 6 - 4 = 17 For:1d10 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 I took into account firing into Melee.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Initiative:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

I take a shot at the puggy king. Attack:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 For:1d10 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

I raise my eyebrow at Janos's reaction to the door. I walk over and put a hand on his shoulder. "My friend. Think. The noises are likely coming from beyond the door." I look in the direction of the others. "There is something on the other side of this door. I will cover whomever opens it." I train my crossbow at the door and wait for another to open the door.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

"While the eggs are valuable, I am not entirely keen on simply destroying such a thing. However, if there is only the one bird then I would be willing to consider it a resource provided by the divines. The bird could be dinner and the eggs could feed others as long as they are put to good use. I will abide with the idea of forcibly dealing with the creature. It is not like we are wiping out it's species." With that I ready my crossbow looking for the thing to return.

Sorry bout the flipflop in my decision, I am still trying to figure out my character and I basically figured he would not see the harm in Hunting the bird for food. Um...are they good eating?

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

I have a dumb question. I haven't been able to keep track of all the posts and do not have time to read through the entire thread, does anyone know exactly how much XP we should have?

Also a question for the GM, what XP track are we on? Fast or Medium, last time I tried this campaign, GM had us on Fast but I can't remember if you did the same.

I look at the image on the wall. "There is so much history here." I am enamored by the images. I gently touch the image of the Djinn princess. "Who is she? She's beautiful." I pause and retract my hand, I gently shake my head. "Sorry. Got distracted for a moment there. Lead on."[b]

At the mention of the idea of chasing off the vulture I take a moment to to think. [b]"This animal is no monster of evil. It is simply trying to survive and raise a family. It is best we find a good way to relocate this creature's home." I consider the species and think of a good way to lure or relocate them without just out right destroying them.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

I follow the group quietly contemplating the markings and the designs of this building. Keeping my crossbow ready I keep a wary eye open for anything amiss.

Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Greetings. I have returned from a prolonged and rather unexpected absence. I apologize profusely for the lack of warning. I will post a new warning. School is getting harder and work is getting busier. Until January my posts will be scarce. I understand if that does not sit well with the party and if it is too much trouble for everyone with me being so inactive, then I will bow out.

I leave my fate in your hands.

P.S. Chee can have Jesail's share of the spoils. Jesail doesn't believe in taking things. He will only accept things if given for the work he has done.

P.S. again. Jesail WILL fight on behalf of Chee should there be violence over the little fella's actions. Jesail would however try and convince Chee to share the wealth.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

I have my crossbow set and ready to shoot anything that moves. I also have guidance and Resistance active. Feel free to roll for how many rounds they have been active for already.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

I examine the bas-relief further. I make a note in my journal the name of the cult and the other info. [i]I need to remember this stuff. It may be important.

At Janos I shrug. "I apologize. For most of my life, the relevance of my heritage was important to only me. I have always been curious as to my parents were but I had hoped to know some day. I am a Sylph. That is a half-genie. At any rate this is only a side quest for me. I believe our dwarven friend is right. We have work to do."

I ready my crossbow and follow cautiously.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Knowledge Religion:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

I assume this grants me the same info as Aakim and Janos.

I approach the bas=reliefs and muse over them for some time. "Amazing. I am led to understand that my ancestry hails from this kind of Genie. I wonder what significance they still carry. I wonder if any of these genie's blood runs through my veins." I pull back my hood and allow my long light green hair to flow. It bustles and flourishes about as though caught in a nonexistent wind. "I have been curious all my life about those that conceived me and where exactly my blood hails from. I expected to find Haleen, though there may be more intriguing information along the way."

At Horgun. "Please ser dwarf. I understand your material needs but I have my own emotional needs also. Allow me this moment to reflect on this art for it tells of a great history, and one that I may be right in placing my pride in."

After musing on the relief for a moment longer, do I learn anything new?

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Warning. I am nearing the end of my school semester and I work it retail. It is the holiday season so I am going to be very busy. My posting will be scarce at best until January. Just giving you a heads up.

Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

I watch as Chee tries to hide the jewel. He chuckles. "Enjoy it Chee. I have no need of such things. My reward is honoring my beloved Sheyln."

I listens to Janos. "If this place is adorned properly, I can see it serving both our goddesses. This will indeed become a great place of worship once more."

At the question about his choice of deity I smile. "I have always found art to be appealing. It was my studies in the temples that drew me to her. I was in awe of all that she stood for and I vowed I would do everything in my power to preserve such beauty as that which Sheyln represents. I love her and would gladly walk to the ends of the earth if she wills it."

After we have tidied up a bit I look around. "Agree with Horgun. We should set about clearing the rest of this place before we begin renovating. Come Ser Dwarf, lead the way. We shall watch your back."

I will follow Horgun

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

"Worry not Chee I am fine. You had good judgement in your throws." Jesail moves over to Janos. "Let me help you in the purification of this holy sanctum. I hope that we could also build a shrine to Sheyln as long as it would not offend you brother." Jesail will proceed to aid the Janos in clean up.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Sorry about the delay. I was working back to back shifts a lot and school is coming to a close as well.......and Skyrim just came out...Don't worry. I will keep posting as often as I can..

Jesail announces "We have the little buggers on the run. Let's finish them!"

Attack on full health Puggy. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 second roll:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
For:1d10 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Sorry for the delay guys.

Jesail smiles with a hint of pride. "Got one. Let's see if I can pull it off again." Jesail shoots at a fresh foe in the rafters.

Crossbow shot 2:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Jesail will take aim now that Aakim's song is aiding. "In the name of Sheyln, and for the protection of those whom serve her, I will end you." Jesail fires again.

Attack bonuses: +3 Dex, +1 Mstrwrk, +1 Bard

Damage:1d10 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

I think the pugwampi's should suffer their own back luck as well. I demand they two dice also! JK

Jesail agrees. "Yes this is a desecration. It is going to be a lot of work but I wouldn't mind helping you make this place beautiful again. First let's clear these horrid things out of here."

When the Pugwampi attacks Jesail calls out. "Chee hold your fire! We may not need such destruction for such a place as this."

I take a shot at the monster as soon as it shows itself.

Initiative 1:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

GM Fireclaw wrote:
Alright, how that will work if you're constantly recasting them is, if you ever enter into combat, you'll roll a d10-1 (minimum 1), and that's the numbers of rounds remaining for the spells (guidance expires first, then resistance the following round), unless you specifically recast them. Sound fair?

Fair enough. Thank you for that. I like to be prepared. Besides, with a Crossbow I am likely to be able to use guidance off the bat in combat.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

I'll cast each spell every minute then. Helps to be prepared. Also, Jesail will be in the middle of the line up with Chee, preferably at his side. He will follow behind Horgun. Hopefully we have a melee person covering our rear.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Jesail smiles at his friend Janos and politely raises his hand to decline the touch of blood. "Thank you for the offer my friend but the ever lasting beauty of Sheyln will be my divine favor for this endeavor." With that Jesail casts Guidance and resistance on himself I can't remember if both are permitted at the same time. Jesail will simply cast guidance if not. Jesail nods at Chee. "Do not worry my little friend. You will likely get to use your boomies soon. I just want to make sure you don't get separated from us. You tend to get impulsive from time to time."

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Jesail has his crossbow at the ready. He comes up behind Horgun. He looks over at Chee. "Stay close Chee. Horgun, I've got your back. Proceed cautiously. We have no idea what has decided to take up residence since people lasted inhabited this place." Jesail will follow Horgun's lead.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Jesail nods. "Rest is good. I don't anyone sustained any harm that a we have sustained should be healed with a good night sleep. I will take the map m'lady. It will good good for a reference if nothing else."

If Almah allows it, Jesail will take her hand and kiss it. He will then head to his tent and retire for the night.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Jesail bows to Almah as he accepts the money. "Thank you my lady. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. As for the temple, I am sure my new companions and I should be able to handle whatever we will encounter. I am wondering, is there a map of this place for us to make use of?"

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Jesail nods and calls out to Chee. "Chee! Be sure and bring the little beasts head with you. Lady Almah has requested it."

Jesail has his crossbow at he ready in case he spots anymore of those odd little creatures. "Do they travel in groups Dashki? What are the odds there are more of him?" Jesail keeps a good look out.

Work was a pain today. Posting now

Jesail begins to maneuver his way through the cacti. "This creature is clever. Probably why it is such a nuisance in these parts."

Jesail will help his friend Janos stable himself after the strange prophetic speech he just gave. "There, there my friend. Don't push yourself. If you need to rest do so, the rest of us can handle the Pugwampi's." Jesail turns to Almah and bows deeply. "I will honor your request fair maiden. We shall investigate the matter at once. You will have your culprit I promise. With that Jesail helps Janos out of the Tent.

Jesail lets Janos decide if he wants to tag along but regardless he will turn to Horgun. [b]"Where are these cacti you mentioned. We should end this with haste as there are definitely more important things to be done than to hunt rodents." Jesail will have his crossbow at the ready when Horgun leads.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Jesail follows Horgun to Almah's tent. Once inside he bows deeply to Almah showing her sincere respect. "Fair lady Almah please pardon the intrusion but we all seem to have various forms of evidence about the indecent. It is part of my profession to gather info, piece together that info, and come to conclusions. As far as I have been able to conclude this. The man who was almost burned to death had candles hazardously lit in his wagon. This is a hazard but from what I can tell is that there is more too it. We have reason to believe that a local creature called Pugwampi may have been the final push. All in all it was one big accident. I must advise that no one be allowed light candles in the wagons. Seem unsafe. At any rate. I am curious about this Legacy of Fire Janos mentioned. What can you tell us about it?"

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Sorry if I'm getting a bit carried away. I just have a lot of free time right now and this happens to be the only campaign I am in that is doing anything. When I'm not posting here I'm writing out plans a for another campaign I hope to start soon. Just today cause of the six hours of free time I have at the moment.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Jesail looks at his friend Janos with curiosity. "A pretend fortune teller you say? Interesting. Stories seem to lead to the candles he lights as a means to start the fire but there also maybe something more malicious to consider also. If you must speak with the fair lady Almah, friend Janos, then I shall accompany you. Our goal is to find our beloved Haleen but at the same time, these mysteries are hard to ignore, wouldn't you agree?"

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Jesail nods. "Thank you my good ser. You should consider a bath some point. You may find yourself in much better spirits if you were to smell better." Jesail turns to Chee. "Let's head back to the wagon and look for any clues that may lead pertain to the possibility of these Pugwampis being apart of the incident."

Jesail spots Horgun. "Greetings. You are one of the newer members of this caravan like Chee and myself." Jesail listens to Horgun's question. "He mentioned a small jackal beast called a Pugwampi being responsible for the fire. I was going to investigate the wagon for any clues to such a thing. Have you come across something already?"

DM:

I had made a Sense Motive Check, is he being sincere?

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

On the way to see Dashki Jesail laughs at Chee's complains. "It is the gift of Sheyln. I act on her behalf to be curtious to others. I believe that many women simply appreciate that someone out there is willing to genuinely compliment them without looking for a bedroom favor. You my friend are at a natural disadvantage with most other races. Your kind isn't well known for being decent. I am pleased that you are the kind hearted little soul you are. It will take some people time to realize that. Besides, I think bombs are cool too, I am jealous of your talents my friend. Now come, we have investigating to do and should be get to the bottom of things, I may need your help yet." Jesail proceeds to the above with Dashki.

Male Sylph Inquisitor Level 1

Jesail doesn't mind Chee following him. in fact he rather enjoys having someone close watching him at work.

Jesail bows elegantly to Kallien. "Fair maiden Kallien. My name is Inuisitor Jesail Ash. It is a pleasure to meet you, I am overjoyed to see that you are well. I am glad that I could save your beauty from the scarring flames and the cold embrace of death. I appreciate the advice. It seems I must have a word with ser Daski. Would you be so kind as to point him out or describe him as best you can. If not I will inquire his location from Garavel." Jesail hears out anything Kallien has to say.

After she is finished he takes her hand gently and kisses it politely. Raising to his full height he gives a sleight bow. "Thank you m'lady. I will be off now. Do take care from now on." With that Jesail leaves.

Depending on how Kallien answered Jesail will seek out either Daski himself or Garaval and then Daski.

Hopefully one of the two know where to find him.

Once Jesail find Daski he will approach. "Ser Daski I presume? I am Jesail Ash, inquisitor of Shelyn and an investigator to the events that recently unfolded. I am curious to know, do you have any opinion on how this fire may have started? Now of anyone who might start it or see any safety hazards that maybe responsible?"

Noticing the man that Janos pulled out of the fire is still wounded Jesail decides to help out by administering a CLWs to him
Cure:1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
He then makes his way over to the mishmash group. "Lords amd ladies, I am curious as to weather or not you have seen anything interesting going on. Maybe some insight as to why the wagon may have caught fire. Were any of you nearby? If so did you see anyone suspicious or notice anything that wasn't to code? For example, a person lurking about or a lamp to close to dry cloth. Is there anything local that may have caused this?" Jesail maintains a very professional attitude as he asks his questions.
