Male Aasimar Cleric 1
"Let me get the chest inside and I'll channel to heal everyone's wounds. We should probably move the bodies of these dogs into a corner. Less chance of someone casually noticing that we've been here." Jawhar will head back outside to grab the chest, then start moving to the southern room that appears to be filled with debris. Looks like a likely place to find a hiding place. 1 round to get the chest. 1 round (double move) to get near the southern room. 1 round to hide the chest (just hiding it from casual observation). Sound OK? Keeping my eye out for traps as I go. Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

I don't have the link to the previous document where we were coordinating purchases. However, I did spend my 2 PP on a Wand of Bless. Since it sounded like we would have 2 Wands of CLW for the next adventure, I'd suggest that any other purchases be something for the bard to use. Magic Missile, perhaps? I also purchases a couple of good scrolls and outfitted myself well to deal with DR. Craggark, expect to get Blessed Fist cast on you at some point next adventure...

A well-rested Jawhar walks up to the ship and runs a hand along its hull, feeling the sturdy construction. He takes in the still fresh smell of the pitch and notes the well-crafted angle of deck. "It is true what the sailors say. You really can feel the soul of a ship if you but listen. This ship will keep us safe and warm through a difficult journey into unknown danger. I would suggest a name that speaks of warmth and protection. I propose Mother's Embrace" Jawhar begins preparing a few words to bless the ship. Once a name is agreed upon, he will perform a brief ceremony. If anyone mentions typical customs that northern sailors use, he will incorporate those customs. Otherwise it will be a generic blessing. He will then follow the others on deck, stow his gear and await the dawn and his morning prayers.
In the R.D.: Yes, I met Abrotriss and Rixa earlier, though Abrotriss (the bronze-skinned one) was deep within some artwork and did not join in the conversation.
That one seems pretty absent-minded to me. Having Celestial blood in no ways keeps you from making mistakes, as I can attest. Hopefully, nobody was seriously hurt. If there were, I will gladly offer my services to help clean up the mess. Jawhar pauses to look around outside to make sure no fires were started and that there are no injuries. They are a motley group, are they not? I believe they are a troupe of performers headed to the festival you mentioned. Perhaps the demonstration was a publicity stunt?
In the R.D.: Finally getting the attention of the waiter, Jawhar orders some food. I feel like a little breakfast. Yoghurt and coffee, please. Turning to regard Imoya again, he continues the pleasantries. Jalmeray, you say? You're even farther away from home than I am. Jawhar looks pensive for a moment. So, you've been here for some years? This is actually my first time outside of Qadira. I am honestly still a little nervous about being on my own.
In the R.D.: Sitting down and signaling to the wait staff, Jawhar responds.
The preferred term is Aasimar, although I thought of myself as human for most of my life. But, yes, I do have a touch of Celestial blood. I am Jawhar Dhakir, pleased to meet you. There are many Ifrit in Qadira (where I come from), so seeing you made me a bit nostalgic and I decided to introduce myself. What brings you to Sandbridge?
Finding himself suddenly alone, Jawhar looks around and notices an Ifrit walk by and enter the Inn. Finally, a race that I recognize. This town is exceedingly strange, a dose of familiar is in order He enters the inn and approaches the Ifrit. Imoya: Greetings, sir. Would you mind if I take this seat next to you?
I swear I remember Kobolds being little dog-like things. Is that from an earlier iteration of D&D or am I just completely bonkers? Regardless, the datapoint has been overwritten in my head now. Looking at the picture on the wikipedia page, I believe that is the first picture I ever saw of a kobold. The snout is dog-like and I guess as a child I never focused on the scales... Aasimar Conversation: Switching back to Common, and addressing Varshala...
My apologies, my lady, I was not attempting to exclude anyone. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Jawhar Dhakir, a Qadiran in service to Sarenrae. I see that you are a servant of Shelyn. Have you also come to view the new cathedral?
Celestial: Co-bald? What an odd name for such a hairy person. I had thought it was a talking dog of some kind that had been trained to stand on its feet.
The grey, toothy one is a goblin. That is fascinating. I've never seen one before, though I have read about them during my training. Shouldn't he be eating garbage or skulking in an alley somewhere? Jawhar has lead a VERY sheltered life...
@GM You also omitted me. The latest tabulated list of submissions is here: Spoiler: Quote:
Rixa Glasso wrote: To be fair, Rixa and Abrotriss are some ways away from the others. But I'll be social. Out of curiosity, when you say red, do you mean regular "red" hair, or actual, bright red? You never know with Aasimars. Bright red, like flame. Kind of like Sarenrae's, only much less impressive Mizzug:
Hmmm... Half-Human, Half-something-really-big anyways. Fascinating
Well, very nice to have met you, my dear. My name is Jawhar Dhakir, and this is my first trip to Sandpoint. Or much of anywhere for that matter.
With that, Jawhar strides over to greet the two Aasimar standing apart from the main group. Rixa: Keleshite, actually, from Qadira. I am Jawhar Dhakir, cleric of Sarenrae and I left Qadira when I realized that I needed to gain a wider view of the world. So, I picked the furthest place away that was still in Avistan and took a boat for Varisia.
As I got closer, I heard about the opening of the cathedral here and came to get a look. That is until I spied the hilarious troupe of carnival performers over there. Might I ask your name?
A Qadiran with bright red hair walks near the table, his head looking this way and that, gawking at the sights like a tourist. Looking up for a second, but not really seeing the group, he asks, Pardon me, gentle people, do any of you know the way to the cathed... Now looking around in surprise at the people gathered in front of him, his mouth hangs open for a few moments. My, oh my, this is amazing. You must be a giant! (pointing to Mizzug) and you have such big, pointy teeth (pointing to Ulrich) Ooh, is that a talking dog? (pointing to Don Viego) Is he part of the troupe of midget performers (indicating the halfling, goblin, and gnomes) Is this some type of carnival? Should I buy tickets? Noticing Abrotriss and Rixa, he switches languages. Celestial: Greetings brother and sister, have you come to enjoy this fine carnival as well? Perhaps we could watch the performances together?
My Aasimar Cleric of Sarenrae. Crunch is mostly complete. I will update tomorrow and join in with the discussion. Appearance:
A light brown skinned man with golden eyes and bright red hair. He is wearing the desert robes of a nomad and adorned with the ankh of Sarenrae First Impression: Jawhar is trusting and naive, inexperienced about the wider world. He is prone to misunderstanding the intentions of others.
Looking more closely into his eyes, you can see signs of doubt and conflict. He appears to have suffered some tragedy and has not been able to fully process the information |
