The cleric frowns, and then cast his own spell, needing to strike fear into the hearts of his opponent,and then moved to better co-ordinate next round. OOC: Cast Divine Power, then move 10 feet, South 5 feet, then south-east 5 feet - if I'm remembering my 3.5 rules correctlly, that should avoid AoO, but but me in a position where I can move feet and attack next round, assuming the troll doesn't move. My BAB will become +8, +6 strength, and +8 HP. Time to remember he's a combat cleric.
Sorry for no post lately. Been very busy with work, and then transitioning into working from home.

Rolled up on the thread - rolled 4, goes to 5 due to Con. Jamarkis would also like to try to identify the ring - spellcraft +6. Will redo a spell list tomorrow of new default spells, and post it here. What does Jamarkis know about the holy day? He has a decent know: religion from memory.

The cleric frowned and pulled out a scroll, and started reading it whilst carefully using the same tricks as he did to cast spells defensively. OOC: Take out scroll, read it casting defensively. Summon Monster IV: Celestial Lion. Would prefer to give up use of morning star till next round, though can accept losing use of shield instead. Spell completion only standard action.
West; wasn't sure if he counted as level 8, or if that will only kick in after he's rested, so the skill check and curing is as of level 7.

I'm not the best player of mages, I can think of about 4 people off the top of my head who are better, but I would go with magic missile, at least until we get a better idea of how tough the monster is.
Happy to do it this time, will do it tomorrow, but rather than the kind of sophistication suggested by Ayla, ask him to appoint someone to NPC him in these circumstances. That way he can choose someone who he thinks plays wizards well. You could do that for other people who play classes you think could be tricky to NPC due to their choices available - wizards, sorcerers, druids and possibly clerics. Clerics may be not as at the worst you can just have them heal someone; but during combat they would usually be better to do something that would hurt the monsters.
I'd like to wait to see how the monster goes first, West. Given what it did to Maximus, would like to see how far we want to escalate in regards to spells and/or healing.
Except I've taken a prestige class, with no BAB increase at first level.
West, updated via reply on D20 forums. Is there another way you'd prefer updating of sheets now we're pretty much just running games from here? I'll miss though, as my BAB isn't going up, and I didn't improve strength.
