Vindolfus was the son of a former nun, named Varella, who was impregnated by a celestial. Never knowing his father has made it very difficult for him to understand his own identity. He began wandering to find his place in the world. He became a bard because he lacks a true desire to study anything for a prolonged period of time, and so he has become a jack of all trades sort.
Vindolfus has just started his journey and is still young. All he knows of his father is that he was a great singer and musician. Vindolfus has inherited his father's voice and appearance, and as a result is very appealing to women (and some men, Vindolfus doesn't judge, but tries to turn them down politely). This is often awkward for him as he is very shy and unaware of his own attractiveness.
Vindolfus is very protective of his mother as she is the only parent he has ever known, and left her only after much prodding. To insult him is something he will shake off, to insult his mother, is to start a fight.
Vindolfus' greatest desire is to find a place in the world for himself, but he knows he is meant for greatness, not because he is descended from a celestial but because of his mother.
Hey garabott, I sent you a message with a little more detail about my character just so u know.
I think I ll work on a bard for this.
Oh and BTW my gold is
5d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6, 3, 6) = 18 x10 =180

Ciarn was born to a Vampire Clan. Her mother was human named Camella, father was a vampire by the name of Aufel. Mother fed Ciarn her own blood. Camella was killed in a raid by the Son's Of Iomedae, an order of Paladins. The Paladins took her in and taught her the ways of the Paladin. She seeks revenge on all vampire kind for what they did to her mother.
She is a Paladin of Iomedae and is a member of the Son's of Iomedae.
She is charismatic and wise and confident; she knows when to speak and when to listen.
She seeks revenge on her father for what he did to her mother. The Son's of Iomedae descended on the Clan and slew all the vampires they could find but her mother was killed by a vampire during the raid, and her father escaped.
Most of the Dhamphir were taken in by the Son's of Iomedae but a few were taken by the vampire lords that escaped, her younger half-brother, Iorstone escaped with her father.
She is willing to adventure if it could possibly lead to her father or her Iorstone, or if asked to by her temple.
Maybe she has come to Biston to search for her Iorstone and Aufel, after hearing a rumor of Vampires in Biston perhaps.
She is a tank, she wields a longsword in her right hand and a heavy shield in her left.
Her feat is Saving Shield, and her traits are Deft Dodger, and Divine Warrior.

BTW where to we go to roll for gold.

If you still have room I'd like to play a dhampir paladin.

aw man those are great, but shield bearer (ulfen) requires you be human and helpful requires you be a halfing. While Im not interested in making a halfling paladin, a tiefling could be interesting.
So I'm working on a tank that can basically improve others AC, I figure Bodyguard, Saving Shield, and Shield Bearer (Ulfen) are all necessary, does anyone know of any other feats or traits that let you add to someone else's AC or take damage for them or any thing like that?
in 3.5 there was the swordbow, it could switch between the 2(forget what type of action it is tho) they also had a light version (representing a rapier and shortbow) and a great version (representing a greatsword and composite longbow)
Edit: Just found it,
SWORDBOW
Price: 6,375 gp
This +1 longbow changes into a +1 longsword (or vice versa) when activated. You can interchange bow and sword attacks as part of the same
full attack action.
Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, shrink item, elf.
Cost to Create: 3,000 gp (plus 375 gp for masterwork longbow), 240 XP, 6 days.
This is for a standard Swordbow, a Great Swordbow, would be made of a greatsword and a composite longbow

I think you have to take into account the environment you're putting the character in, DC universe vs Golarion. In the DC universe you have to not kill people, but in Golarion its the opposite (side note I dont see why Improved Unarmed Strike is so necessary see it makes you do LETHAL damage when the same people are arguing against killing, I know it prevents AoO but thats beside my point). So i think Batman using a Sword isn't a big deal.
I also have trouble seeing Batman as a Bard, the only thing the bard brings is the Bardic Knowledge, but Batman isn't a "singer" (dont point to the 2 episodes of batman cartoons where he does) nor does he play an instrument or dance.
All the monk brings to the table is Improved Unarmed Strike, the WIS to armor is pointless as Batman wears Armor, the only other thing MIGHT be Stunning Fist, but thats not really replicating Batman to me.
Paladin is about basking in the light of a deity, Batman isn't about worshipping a god. So this one is just crazy in my opinion as is inquisitor.
Ninja is best starting out IMO, and if there is a feat that lets once a class skill always one, that would be great.
It doesnt seem that good over the magus class. It gives +1 for arcane casting each level after first. But the fighter side seems really weak to me, 1 bonus feat at 1st, 5th, and 9th levels, and you add your EK levels to fighter levels for determining Fighter feats prerequisites. Spell Crit seems good but the only fighter thing that seems somewhat good.
Is there something I'm missing about the Eldritch Knight?
I figure Half-Elf Monk or cleric, with maxed Wisdom, and Alertness as well as one trait that ups Perception and makes it a class skill all the time. A ki mystic monk can gain a +4 bonus if they expend a Ki point. Skill focus Perception as well.
I have 2 questions,
1.) Anymore suggestions to improving perception at level 1?
2.) Given the following information what else should I do to make him effective in combat?
20 point buy with

well if you play an alchemist, burn!burn!burn! adds 1d4 to all non-magical fire damage(alchemical isnt considered magical) which would apply to your bombs (not splash damage tho) but wouldnt be able to do lightning or ice damage, but Goblins are more interested in fire than any other energy type.
I know there is armor expert trait, and mithril armor also reduces the check penalty but are there any feats? And if so where are they from if you know?
I think goblins are my new favorite race for dexterity based classes! I just found out I can get an easy +18 to stealth. I will look around for other classes and their specializations.

When I think about playing other races its more for a RP aspect than for a min/maxing aspect. I mean I'd like to play a goblin alchemist, I just dont feel it would be as useful as a human alchemist.
So lately I just feel that other races just don't stack up to Humans because they have a dangling +2 modifier as well as a bonus feat at first level. I just have a hard time justifying taking any other race. The racial mods aren't always both beneficial to your class, yes there are some like the elf bard, but like the dwarf paladin gets 2 bonuses to 2 relevant stats but the 3rd negative modifier is to charisma which hurts paladins.
I know part of these weaknesses are about roleplaying the character but in terms of min/maxing i just have a hard time justifying playing a race other than human.
I'd rather ask what is the best for each type of character, so what is the best...
melee damage dealer?
arcane spellcaster?
divine spellcaster?
tank?
Skill-monkey?
IMO the best consistent melee damage dealer is the two-handed fighter. Others might be more bursty under different circumstances, IE rogues are better when two weapon fighting with sneak attack, paladins are smiting, rangers are against a favored enemy, things like that but for CONSISTENT output the fighter is best.
Arcane spellcaster, the wizard is king, no one is as versatile and capable of so much as the wizard.
Divine spellcaster, probably cleric, but druids are close second.
Tank, probably fighters because they can wear heavy armor and wield tower shields giving them high AC while still putting out some damage.
Skill-monkey I havent decided on yet.
Well its for PFS so I ll probably be able to afford a Masterwork greatsword after a couple of adventures.
Well I wanna play a human fighter so I'm gonna stick with the standard +7 except for the situational bonuses such as aid another and flanking.

Is the highest bonus to hit at level 1 +7? +1 for fighter BAB, +5 for strength, +1 for weapon focus?
This makes me wonder about other hybrids such as Aasimars and tieflings.
Think about it a family of 2 humans have 4 kids, each kid as a child by another species, 1 half orc, 1 half elf, 1 tiefling and 1 aasimar. Think about the family reunions!
Then think ok on 1 side my grandparents are a half orc and a human while on the other side is a human and a tiefling. Fiendish and Orc blood flow through a pure human!
Thank you Velcro. I feel you have better understood what I was going for, while I would like resolution for my character, it would also be fun to RP the tragic hero doomed to never resolve, or maybe discover his god is dead and never coming back. Like you said it gives him a purpose, I have known some people who adventure for its own sake or other weak reasons that conclude and its like well you resolved your quest, whats the point in still adventuring.
So basically it would have to be an epic level campaign in which someone seeks an audience with all gods of death possibly to see if there is any way to revive him.
Have the circumstances behind his death became known?
I guess I just have to hope he isn't really dead if there is no known way of reviving him. It is ASSUMED he is dead since his priests can't access his power, but I wonder if he isn't hiding from someone or something or possibly testing his faithful maybe.
Outsiders can be revived even though there corporeal form is fused with their soul so when they die their soul is also gone, so they can only be revived by true resurrection, wish, or miracle spells.
I ask because I'm interested in making a character dedicated to Aroden and wishes to revive him after his mysterious death or at least find out the circumstances behind his death, or find him should he be alive and hiding.
Would you need multiple wish and/or miracle spells, just one, or would a true resurrection be sufficient(this one I doubt)?
What CAN they do? Charge in ignoring the risk of life to the prisoner.
What SHOULD they do? Have the thief go invisible and stealth up to the bandit, and try to kill the bandit quickly, whether coup de grace, called shots, death by SA or w/e.
Is there a list or way to find all the hidden weapons like the blade scarf, switchblade, and spring loaded knife? I ask because I'm thinking about building a character based around hiding weapons.
y not just go the magus route?
So I recently saw a thread about Sherlock Holmes and got to thinking what other characters would be cool for a pathfinder campaign. Who better than the Dark Knight?!
So I feel he would be similar in some veins to the Holmes character but not sure how he should differ other than the lack of drug use, I feel he should have levels Wizard for the versatility of Spells, Investigative Rogue for all the skill points and knowledge of anatomy for Sneak Attack, Fighter or Paladin for Heavy Armor proficiency (probably Paladin for divine spells), and Detective Bard for the knowledge skills, and at least improved unarmed strike for fighting.
But I feel this requires too many levels to be efficient, so any ideas?
I'm trying to figure out what the best class for a Kobold would be, but I'm having trouble.
The racial bonus to Dex helps almost everyone on the whole as well as the +1 to Natural Armor and +1 to Armor because of size (for essentially a +3 to Armor), but the -4 to Strength and -2 to Con hurt the melee classes that benefit more from the Armor bonuses. The lack of bonuses to more mental abilities for mental classes doesn't make them the ideal version of that class, just makes them not the worst. The only thing I can really think of is a ranged combatant or maybe a Dex-based Rogue.
Wait, y was this thread necromancered?
Did you come up with that yourself Vicon? If so, MAJOR kudos to you.
I'd like to suggest taking Spell Specialization,it combined with Gifted Adept can give you 4d6 Shocking Grasp at Level 1. Take Wayang Spellhunter for Shocking Grasp and you can use Intensified Spell earlier for no cost. 10d6 at 3rd level (unless Intesified Spell requires you have fifth level which I'm not sure) isn't exactly bad. And you can switch out Spell Specialization once you reach a high enough level.
