![]() Howdy all! So, I'm going to be 'that guy' and dole out unasked for advice. The DM or you can scold me if I'm overstepping my bounds here... I haven't been playing PbP for a long time or anything, but I find it helps when the players post actions that move the story forward. Alternatively, if you're interested in the history of something, try not to monologue it; make a knowledge roll or engage the other players to attempt one for you. Personally, I'd recommend including a die roll with your stated actions. Such as 'Jack looks for something' means that I should include a perception roll with my post. If it's not an applicable roll, it can be discarded. I'm actually not a Type-A person. I dislike when the party splits at a home-table, and I try to make sure the party is getting a say in the direction of where we're heading. When I ask what direction to head, an answer is generally nice (even if it's just I'm following). Otherwise, it's just the charisma 8 shield-wall making the path decisions. I'm okay with choosing the path, but I want the party to be aware that I'm not trying to be 'do it my way or the high-way.' Shout-out if you want Jack to hold-up. ![]()
