Thank you, Bobbette! Izotu shouts as he feels the healing magic course through his veins. A quick flick of his hand produces a small glob of greasy material that lands at the Minotaur's feet, as the old man chants quietly in a foreign dialect while stepping back.

Cast Grease and five foot move to make room for the fighters.

GAAAA!!!!! The bard yells in pain as the large blade slices deep into his armor. Blood flows freely from the gash in his chest as he staggers back. With a desperate move, he waves his arm over his head and sends the whip hurling at the Minotaur.

Five foot step back and attempts to trip.

Izotu continues to chant as he suddenly leaps into the air with a spin that belies the old man's appearance and lands next to the river. A long strap, braided with colorful ribbons and a fierce buckle attached at the end, is swung around his body and over his head. With a quick snap of his wrist, he brings the whip low towards the mite's feet.

Continue singing Inspire Courage, move towards the river, attempt trip with whip (15' reach) on the mite on the rock.

The old human straightens his back to stand his full height and then purposely slumps his shoulders under his cloak. Swaying back and forth, he begins to chant a deep rhythmic song that inspires greatness.

Izotu starts singing his Inspire Courage song (+1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls).

Izotu Hyr walks the murals and then bows his head. He sways in rhythmic fashion and sings a song that incorporates images of the murals. Anyone listening may see Aroden's intention as described in the murals in their mind.

He pauses for a moment at the end of his short song.

That was not the song of Izotu Hyr's people, but one Izotu Hyr thought might please Aroden. It tells of great accomplishment and humility. Izotu Hyr is not a spiritual man. Izotu Hyr's song is all Izoty Hyr has to give and maybe that will be enough for the Lost God to allow us safe passage...if he is still present in this place.

A broad smile forms on Izotu Hyr's face. He hands the cloak to the gillman and bows deeply when he receives the wand.

Izotu Hyr is honored to meet you, Uori. Izotu Hyr recognizes some of the stories of Aroden, but the carvings are too damaged to read completely. Izotu Hyr didn't know the gillman worshiped Aroden or this was a sacred place to the gillman. Izotu Hyr speaks slightly slower and tries to enunciate his words.

Is all the cavern sacred? We would like to pass through, but don't want to disrespect the gillman.

These tell a story of the lost god, Aroden. They are very old and tell a somewhat different story then what Izotu Hyr has heard. The bard says and reaches for his bag, Izotu Hyr will make some drawings to take back to the Society. They may be interested in the story they tell.

Izotu Hyr takes out a small stack of parchment and scribbles some notes with a piece of charcoal. Once completed, he follows the group towards the blue burning torches.

Pausing briefly at the first torch, he examines the flame while quietly reciting a sonnet.

Cast Detect Magic and Spellcraft to identify, if needed.

After the initial shock of nearly losing Vogma passes and Izotu helps the big half-orc out of the pit, he pulls out the wand from Jinara's pack.

You look like you might need a little more patching up! Izotu says with a smile.

Interesting selection of scrolls/wands for a bard...

Izotu Hyr will hold this wand that assists the injured, smokestick and the tanglefoot bag. We may find them useful. He says as he flips through the scrolls. Izotu Hyr can use an old incantation to decipher these scrolls, but the magic within are little use to Izotu Hyr.

GMm, will you allow me to cast Read Magic and decipher the scrolls for someone that can use them?

Izotu Hyr quietly finishes his song. He briefly watches the dancing half-orc through the flames of the campfire and chuckles softly as he rolls over on his bedroll.

Izotu Hyr listens intently to the hafling's stories of the land and of it's the past. His mind drifts to the great battles fought and the fallen souls buried that must occupy the hills.

He stays quiet as they set camp. As the sun sets, turning the evening sky into a blaze of red and then fading into violet, Izotu Hyr sits motionless near the campfire. He appears to be in deep contemplation as he begins to sing softly with no other accompaniment except that of the night sounds.

The human straightens to his full height of over six feet and then purposefully slumps his shoulders. He looks straight ahead without emotions and begins to sing in a deep, foreign dialect.
