{GRP} I think the game is translating for us based our in-game CHA scores. That would explain why I produced a flowery monologue...

Ah, apparently we're operating off of Bioware conversation logic. 'Everyone just relax, please' = 'EVERYONE CALM YOUR YOURSELVES BEFORE I SNAP YOUR NECKS!!!' Pardon me, I'm just gonna steal that idea and run with it.

Ixen looks up at Ahzuma, before thinking quickly and talking into his mic, hoping to smooth over the situation. "Uh... sorry! We're having a bit of a language barrier, please be patient! My name is Ixen and these are my friends. We're here to help, we promise!"

What instead happens is Ixen bows gracefully and speaks out in a squeaky, but well measured tone. "My sincerest apologies for my companion's gaff, milady. She is not used to dealing with such nobility like yourself and your fine son." The kobold motions to the younger man with the woman before continuing.

"My companions and I were part of the caravan that arrived in town recently. I believe the wagon master was involved in less than legal behavior, and now we are stuck here with no way of passing through, though the innkeeper has been most kind giving us temporary lodging. However, it seems our delay is most fortunate - if you'd allow us, we'd like the chance to investigate the collapse of your tower. I am ashamed to learn my kind are involved in some way, and I'd like to help any way I can to keep the peace."

Ixen blinked as he finished speaking, putting a claw to his mouth as if he'd just been equally insulting, before looking back at the others. "(Swear to god, I have no idea how that happened!)"

"...oh come on! Why are there so many kobolds around here?!" Ixen said with exasperation, before pausing and actually thinking that through a bit. "...actually, that's a very good question: why ARE there so many dead kobolds here? Some in the collapsed tower, and now this one here at the doorstep of a local wizard? ...why?"

Ixen pondered that a bit, before turning to the others. "I know most MMOs have fluff and things that isn't particularly useful... but perhaps we should try gathering a little info. Maybe talk to some of the NPCs around here and see what they have to say? I mean... maybe the wizard ISN'T our quest giver..?"

"...ah crap..." Ixen looked at the other NPCs in the area, frowning. "Figures kobolds are key enemies... hey! Maybe I could convince them to join me and build an army! I do have a high Charisma and I'm the same race..."

At the notion of knocking on a grumpy wizard's hut, Ixen perked up and patted his thin chest. "I'll do it. I've got a strong Charisma, and if he's a paranoid wizard, I specialize in magic and traps, so I could probably disarm anything if need be." If nobody elects to stop him, Ixen will do just that, heading to the NPC's house and rapping on the front door, calling out if it doesn't open.

"I don't know about anyone else, but this detail is incredible! I can actually see the dust particles and everything!" Ixen replied, apparently more interested in the dust itself than what it was hiding.

"I would just like to preface this by saying, I had nothing to do with it. Honest." Ixen pipes up as he hustles to the fallen tower.

Ixen follows along quickly, sticking close to Danfarth. The NPCs might have a less than friendly reaction to him, so if an encounter did start, he wanted to be close to the guy who could hit hard.

Ixen just starts somewhat blankly at Tsugumi's testing of the swear filter... she was interesting. And then Galahot joined in. Slowly turning back to the strix, Ixen nodded quietly. "...yeah. I've got a low strength - kobolds and all - so I'm gonna have a challenge just walking. Beauty of magic, though, is I have spells for that. I wonder if I should learn Unseen Servant..."

The kobold looked down at the table, then around the room. "...did anyone else feel that?"

"Man, that'd be hilarious to get some dudes for my magical base on this adventure. I wonder how well the 'Leadership' thing works. I know my class demands high charisma, so I might could get away with it... though I don't typically spring for Leadership." Ixen picked up his cup and lifted it to drink... only to stop after he whacked his chin with it. Pushing it out a bit further, he finally got it to the right part of his mouth and sipped. "Longer mouth, sharper teeth, tail, 3 feet high... this is messing with my sense of self a bit."

Setting his cup down, he looked around, trying to see if perhaps any other patrons might actually be players in disguise. They should have some kind of HUD that points them out, but... this WAS a beta test. "I always spring for the 'unloved' races in games like this. If somebody says that, like, elves are an unpopular race, I go with them. In this case, kobolds are usually considered the worst for everything... so, naturally, I picked them. I mean, who likes winning all the time anyways?"

"Bombs. I'm pretty sure Alchemist is all about blowing stuff up... which I almost went with, actually. I've been told kobolds make ones. But than I saw that this Sorcerer bloodline came with tricks and traps, and I couldn't pass it up. Plus, I can double as party rogue... come to think of it, for such a trap-oriented class, rogues don't get to tinker with traps very often, do they? Dismantle, yeah, but setting them up?"

Ixen looked down at his food, taking a bite out of it and leaning back in his chair... only to sit forward, realizing he was pushing into his new appendage. "...the tail is gonna take some getting used to." Having another bite of his food, he ponder the prospect his new party was discussing. "Now you're starting to freak me out. 's gonna end up like some new age episode of the Twilight Zone, where we've borrowed bodies of other people... IN ANOTHER DIMEEEEENSIIIOOOON!!! Do do do do do do do do~"

Ixen chuckled to himself as he took another bite of food. This was why he loved online games - he could never bring himself to be that silly face to face. But here, it was almost expected. He was the oddest looking one, so a little goofy behavior couldn't hurt now and again, right?

First post is already up. :) Let us have virtual dinner!

Undoubtedly the oddest one of the group, the kobold calling himself Ixen doesn't look much, given he only comes up about 3' 2" tall. For his player, this was a surreal, but interesting experience - he was so used to being the taller one in a group, that having to look up for a change was kind of cool.

Poking at his virtual food, Ixen looked up around at the other players at his table, a little surprised to see the variety in the team. Most players picked the big, handsome heroes or gorgeous damsels, but this was a nice conglomeration. After a moment, he decided to break the quiet of the game ambiance. "...I'll admit, the game has taken an interesting turn. Normally when you are working for someone doing illegal stuff, they make it painfully obvious. I was worried we were actually going to have to orchestrate a jail break for a moment."

Following after the group and staying low, Ixen nods at Dazak's assessment. "Best to not alert the biggers to our presence, if it can be helped. As for carrying this..." Ixen turned back and puckered his lips, letting out a bird call before the thumping of a sizable, yet somewhat smaller T-rex rumbles the ground a little. Walking through the treeline, Ixen waved the others back.

"Back up. Here comes Tom." he said, as the T-rex lumbered up next to him, wagging it's tail as it stopped. "Tom can carry all the radishes we'll need. Just load up his saddle bags and we'll be on the way."

Ixen shushed his pet T-Rex as it stomped up behind the group, keeping it in the back while he peered up. "Why would we attack? It is a lone biggun' and we are a group ready to fight."

Male Kobold Sorcerer/1 | HP: 6/6 | Init +7 | Fort +0 Ref +3 Will +2 | AC 15 Tch 14 FF 12 | BAB +0 CMB -3 CMD 11 | Perc +2 (Darkvision 60') | Trap Runes (DC 13) 6/6

Ixen simply sighed in resignation. The others clearly were set in their silly ways, and nothing logical would penetrate those scaled skulls.

Male Kobold Sorcerer/1 | HP: 6/6 | Init +7 | Fort +0 Ref +3 Will +2 | AC 15 Tch 14 FF 12 | BAB +0 CMB -3 CMD 11 | Perc +2 (Darkvision 60') | Trap Runes (DC 13) 6/6

"If the biggers were outside, Tom would let me know. He's watching on top." Looking at the map, Ixen nods. "We should move now, while day is still here. If we start now, we can reach the patch by nightfall."

Male Kobold Sorcerer/1 | HP: 6/6 | Init +7 | Fort +0 Ref +3 Will +2 | AC 15 Tch 14 FF 12 | BAB +0 CMB -3 CMD 11 | Perc +2 (Darkvision 60') | Trap Runes (DC 13) 6/6

Ixen takes the slap in stride, snarling back, but ultimately not doing anything. "Radishes? That all? Ixen and Tom could bring back much more food than disgusting radishes. You aim too low. We're heading for nearby village? Follow Ixen. Ixen knows the way."

Male Kobold Sorcerer/1 | HP: 6/6 | Init +7 | Fort +0 Ref +3 Will +2 | AC 15 Tch 14 FF 12 | BAB +0 CMB -3 CMD 11 | Perc +2 (Darkvision 60') | Trap Runes (DC 13) 6/6

The lair starts to rumble as the ground quakes with something big walking above. It seems to stop right about the central chamber before stopping and ending with a heavy THUMP!

A few moments later, Ixen scuttled his way into the central room, looking about at the assembled kobolds. It'd been a while since he was around the tunnels, and after so much time on the surface, he'd found them to be far too cramped for his liking. This was why he was always an outcast.

Well, that and his seeming ability to talk with animals.

"Ixen came as soon as he heard. Chief Sootscale is dead? Trouble for the tribe... who is new chief?"

Ah, totally forgot to include a scale trait. Need to fix that...

Sinder perks his little finned ears up at the paladin and his compatriot as they spoke, hopping off his stool and walking over to Mikhal, folding his arms and looking up at him.

"My master says similar things. That it's better to stay quiet and endure. I understand the logic... but I cannot sit by and allow these tragedies to continue." Sinder looked up at Galen, sitting his fists on his waists and pointing up at knight. "You! Paladin! Are you serious about setting things right here in Westcrown again?"

Sinder grabs the empty waterskin and attaches it back to his belt (which was little more than a hempen rope). He reached up to the bar counter and grabbed his cup, before dipping his serpentine tongue into it and lapping water up. "Sinder Redscales. I've been in Westcrown for... I don't know exactly. Only my mother would know... but thanks to Westcrown's 'finest' I can't ask her anymore."

Sitting at the bar, a kobold turns around, looking at everyone present and listening to the conversation. "Are we talking about bugs, or are we talking about this city and it's residents." Eying the dirty and bloodied human hunter with a yellow slitted eye, he reaches to his side, tossing him a small waterskin. "Clean up and then come back in. We need some model of civility in this city..."

Sinder peered about, eying the quiet halfing hugging the far wall near the door and looking back around again. "...this city has been dead for years now. So if death scares you now, you should probably find a new place to drink. There are worse things then death here."

This looks like a job for... somebody more qualified, but since it's just me, I'll volunteer for this.

History:
Sinder and his mother were refugees to Westcrown after their tribe was decimated in a struggle with a rival kobold tribe, who were bigger and better armed for war than Sinder's. Sinder and his mother always shared an oddly close relationship for kobolds, and they managed to get by in Westcrown through the simple generosity of the locals. Sinder tried to take up street performance, but displayed little talent for it. However, his attempts at it caught the eye of a martial arts instructor to a rich local family, impressed with his dedication, balance and eye for perfecting whatever he attempted.
After about a year, Sinder and his mother were wrapping up their daily round of begging, which had been remarkably successful that day. However, on the way back to their burrow hideout, a group of guards stopped the two kobolds. Falsely accusing them of theft, Sinder's mother protected him as he ran, causing enough of a ruckus to distract the guards. It was the last Sinder ever saw of her.
Enraged, Sinder sought out the martial arts instructor, begging him profusely to take him under his wing and teach him. After explaining the fate of his mother, his teacher took pity on him, secretly taking him home and instructing him away from private eyes. Sinder's dedication to right the wrongs done to his mother, and prevent anyone else from suffering a similar fate, drove the kobold to impressive lengths, enduring trials his instructor never expected him to.
Sinder has spent the past 6 years training, and is his master's longest and most successful student. Sinder's training is drawing to a close, and he can feel a change in the wind. Something is coming, and he believes the time to finally move and right the wrongs he lived through is drawing close. Much to his master's worry; he fears Sinder may end up losing his patience and make a foolish move against the Westcrown authorities, dooming him and his many years of practice and training.

Personality:
Sinder is driven and dedicated, and once he sets his heart on a task, diverging him from it is no easy feat. Sinder holds great anger and sadness at the loss of his mother, but rather then seek out the destruction of those who wronged him, he would rather train himself up; he would do anything in his power to prevent such a tragedy from befalling another, regardless of race, class or situation.
Sinder respects all races, finding his difference in height purely aesthetic; it is not phsyical size, but the size of one's spirit that counts, and Sinder could tower over others in that department. Sinder has a realistic, but optimistic outlook; he believes that while things may be hard, they can and will get better, and he will see to it that they do.
Having grown up away from his tribe and in the company of other humans, Sinder can throw others off with his demeanor. Sinder is composed, calm and collected much of the time, and the contrast is unsettling to some. Sinder has learned not to speak around others, as his draconic tongue can frighten and unnerve people. It doesn't help that he still hasn't gained an understanding of Common, so nobody can understand him anyways. Thus, it's a rare instance when he actually speaks up.
