It's been a blast for sure! Congratulations on a wonderful - and finished, which is not an easy feat here - campaign :)

Okay, I have to admit the Staff of Evocation was a bummer. Plain damage spells are kind of meh, and since I couldn't add my own feats or abilities to them, they just don't keep up well. I had some hopes in Wall of Force, but when I got to use it the enemy could have just flown over the wall.

But anyway! Thanks to Mythic, Ishta was already capable of casting many different spells, so it didn't matter much mechanically wise.

Maybe a shame that someone with Int 28 just moved into a Silence zone trying to cast a spell - sadly I, the player, don't have Int 28 :p - for which I have to say I'm sorry. I hope that didn't rob you guys of the thrill of victory.

Ishta nods when they realize the due situation they're into. She's not able to do the kind of damage needed now, though she has the hope that Ser Armithia is. Therefore, she'll have to wait until the paladin strikes once more...

"Come to me! We're leaving!" she cries out, rising her hand again and starting to pronounce some arcane words.

Ishta goes first, so hopefully her shout is heard before others can act. She'll move and take a readied action: cast Dimension Door at +2 CL (just out of the explosion radius) when everybody is in range and Ser's attacks are finished. In case it's still going to explode, you know.

It doesn't matter whether I have selective spell or not... it comes from the staff. There was no one there when I posted, and my initiative goes first, so I thought that wasn't going to be a problem.

PS I'll try to deal with the demon next turn while you guys dispatch Mr J.

PS2 Nah, forget that, the demon can fly over Wall of Force because it doesn't have the Dome option. Plus, it can probably teleport. :(

After her warning, Ishta stomps the staff on the ground and thrusts forward with it, a small ball of fire appearing from the tip of the wood and exploding nearby.

I'm not sure which things Ishta has might apply to the spell, since it comes from a staff. I'm guessing none, other than her own CL and Int, so no increased damage, no boosted CL, no mythic s~@%, etc. The fireballed area is marked in red.

DC 21 Ref for half: 9d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 2, 1, 3, 6, 1, 1, 6) = 26

CL vs SR for the demon: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29

Hey, Azarra! I'm applying to another FR game here in Paizo. I'm thinking my character there might use Azarra as the name of his contact, who might introduce him to the Harpers later on, in game, and as "quest giver" who's driven him to where he is now. I'll also acknowledge she's one of the Heroes of Phlan and a Watcer of Dawn. You know, my way of making your character "live" a bit longer in payment for all the good times we've had with you. I hope you don't mind! (and if you do, let me know and I'll just change the name).

Dramatically, this is not a bad moment to undergo the final and epic battle. If so, however, I say we wait for Azarra. She's been here from the beginning and, oftentimes, she's been the one to drag us through the adventure. She deserves to play this.

Dancing her way to Counselor Eberhard (just one of them randomly chosen), Ishta dances with him, smiling, trying to drive him towards one of the seats and pretending to stumble and making him seat by accident. If and when she recognizes the good old man awakening, she quickly helps him up again. "Oh, my! Sorry, good sir!" She winks, quickly making a gesture indicating him to follow up. "Clearly time has taken a toll on you, but even then you keep some good moves. Let's keep dancing for our loved master!"

Ishta is not sure what to do, but everybody is dancing. Even Azarra, though clearly just to keep them incognito. She starts dancing as well, maintaining the masquerade while putting her brain in order.

There must be a way to help the other counselors the same Azarra has been trying to help Talia. Isha discretely dances her way up to one of them, trying to devise a plan.

The sense that all is orchestrated to drive them here makes Ishta's mind freeze for a moment. The situation is hard to label, but a feeling of cosmic horror or fate mischief is what she would use if asked.

Fighting the urge to run away or pee her knickers, she shakes her head. "Okay!" she says, out loud but more to herself than anything. "Okay, okay, we're gonna do this. We're gonna play against the odds. The dice are loaded, but nothing's over till it's over."

She can feel the Flumefire run through her veins. This lich is going to burn.

Ishta is still okay to go further today. Using the faerie gift, we should have no problem resting later on... unless we do :p I mean, I hope going back and forth between worlds is not banned here inside - that lich is a b*tch!

Before anything, and once Azarra comes back, Ishta tried a protective invocation on the group. She's not sure if will work, but it's better to try than not.

Nondetection, Communal on everyone but Azarra. 1 Mythic point and 1 reservoir. That should be 11 hours long, between us three, we have... 3 hours 40 minutes each.

"I think we could harm or even destroy that crystal chair with sonic magic" she ventures to say. "Azarra has some of that, I think."

Then they discuss their next steps, but it all seems to driver then to the council building.

"I can indeed teleport us there, if not from here, at least from a safe distance, I guess. But we need to decide when do we want to rest - I'm spending my magics way quicker than I would have liked to."

With the other half of her brain, Ishta is trying to remember something particular that Cadorna always used to wear our carry. Maybe, she thinks, they can use it to locate him easier.

Sorry, I really thought I posted

Ishta considers her companions' words, and finally has to agree with Azarra and Kardas. "Yeah, maybe we don't want all that public in our private show... Thing is, we really don't know where to find the Lich. Actually, that he would be in the council building is not such a mistaken idea."

Then they have the tears, but those won't help anyway.

"Azarra has a special knack for going unnoticed, and the rest of us are all under the Lich's nose. We should hurry, but not to the point of being reckless. I say we should scout ahead and see what we find out. Depending on the situation, we can rest to better prepare thanks to our special gift."

I can't think of anything Ishta can cast on Azarra that would help her on the scouting mission. If someone has any idea, it's gladly welcome.

Alright so I had some little misconceptions then xD

Ishta thinks Ser just had a good idea, so she pops all the group close to where they entered the sewers. That way they can go back to the street without the dangers of suddenly appearing near a patrol or worse. From there, be once they decide their way, they can teleport again.

And I can add 80' more on the fly. The golem should be now in the beholder bbq room, right? So I guess we should teleport to one of the tunnels beyond it, the one which takes us closer to our goal.

Ishta could cast Nondetection Communal, but there are many ways to surpass that.

Had the beholder taken more time to be killed, the group would have certainly suffered more.

Immediately after dispelling the barrier, the golem starts to move. Ishta quickly followed her gestures with some more, another arcane phrase sprouts from her lips and some sweat drops fall from her brow. She runs forward and puts her hand on the stone and earth under the golem's feet, which start adapting and moving, forming a hole that adjusts and wraps around the construct's ankles. In an instant, the ground acts as some shackles that prevent any movement hopefully.

That'll be another mythic point to cast Stone Shape.

Okay, this can get messy...

Isha looks at each of her friends and checks for confirmation. When all are ready, she starts the party by dispelling the wall of force.

Dispel Magic: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
Dispel Magic, Eldritch Breach: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25

Then we'll go with the Stone Shape, because the spell says you've got to touch the stone.

As much as I've searched, I think Stone Shape is the best option. I've thought about walls, resilient sphere, etc, but am those allow SR or have a finite duration, whereas SS is instantaneous.

So when Azarra is finished with the traps Ishta will deal with the Golem.

Stone Shape and Transmute Rock to Mud are 5th and 6th level spells, sadly.

Edit: not Stone Shape, that's available. I'm actually skimming through the spell list to find out which ones I can use to help (the ones which don't allow SR).

Good question.

If I do Stone Shape, we still need a way to get up there and back down anyways. I think I should teleport everyone anyway (now that we don't have a dragon to teleport, I can take you all at once).
