I will switch deadeye's bowman to birthmark. Will be interesting finding the Goddess so to speak. Will switch to Feather domain also reflecting Harbourwings affinity with creatures that fly. Alignment switch to neutral in this life, else it's a little hard to explain Black sheep trait.

"Usawoti - did you make it out?"
GM: "Excellent. Now gather around the sensor, I have words of wisdom to impart." He then proceeds to teach his followers how to live harmoniously with the natives of Golarion, the dos and don'ts of social interactions(like for succubuses - no walking into town without disguising themselves as a humanoid first),how to get along in the wild. GM: ”Perhaps – but I’ll need to verify it properly. Do you see any of the others from the tower?” Inarus looks through the sensor just to see if he can verify if Iya-Iya has gotten to Golarion. ”I may need to leave you for a while, and scry on the others – to check if they made it through safely as well.” He tells her.
GM: Inarus casts message spell through Greater Scrying link. "Iya-iya! Are you all right?" His words tumble out in a rush. "Our communication was suddenly cut off and I felt you dissappear from my mind. I was worried so I scryed on you using the scale." "I'm with you now."He assures her, through the greater Scrying link. "Do you know where you are at the present so that I can see if there's a way to get you to Golarion?"
GM: "What the-?!" Inarus yells out through the mental link. "Iya-Iya! Whats happening out there?! Where are you?!" 'Was it my fault? Was it because I asked her to stay to ensure all the giants got through that something got her?'Thoughts rapidly flit through his mind. 'Stop woolgathering Inarus,' he berates himself "You can't change what has already happened. The key is to find her quickly' He quickly uses Wish to duplicate Greater scrying, trying to trace Iya-iya's whereabouts.
"So you would give up your life in Golarion to remain here?" Inarus asks Usawoti.
"500 years is a long time. Humans don't live that long."Inarus tells Usawoti through the mental link. "And attempting to extend your lifespan never works well." Inarus warns Usawoti gravely. Inarus has a brief thought about the ache in his forepaw.'What was that?', then decides to ignore it, since he's experienced worse, like breaking the shard.

Did you cut yourself someplace?” Inarus asks, concerned. ”I think I may need to seal the portals permanently.” Inarus informs both Iya-iya and Usawoti gravely. ”The site is not safe and there are risks of some really nasty accidents, should people who don’t know anything about it accidentally key the portals opening. So do not think about returning here for me.”
Inarus senses Iya-iya's pain through the link. Worried he asks her, "Are you all right?"
Inarus thinks what are the consequences of not sealing the portals.
”No, I did not know. It comforts me that the demon fungus queen wont’ be troubling anyone any longer – I was worried she would interfere with my people’s exodus, or worst still, go into Golarion and corrupt OUR world.” Inarus answers. Inarus feels a slight pang of regret for the passing of the Coven, but it soon fades. ’There wasn’t anything that I could have done to help them from here, stuck in my ivory tower.’ ”Cross over, but don’t ever come back.” Inarus gives the room a wry smile. ’I doubt you’d be able to come back once you crossed over anyway’ ”Remember that Erevel made us sleep in the mehir stones at a specific time – I believe the portal to this place opens only under very highly specialized circumstances. And after all the trouble we went through to open a portal to Golarion? Yeah it’d stay open – for 21 minutes. After that I doubt you’d ever be able to find a way into this place, even if you wanted to.” ”I highly recommend you do something productive with your life rather then waste it trying to accomplish the impossible.” This time, Inarus’s mind voice is rather snarky.

He thinks briefly about giving a snide comment, then decides against it, not having the energy to. ”I don’t know. It’s one huge mess right now – Iya-Iya is trying to evacuate the giants – help her if you can – as for the other group – I’ve lost contact with them. I don’t think there’s any use counting till everyone gets out – what matters is to get as many people out as possible.” He answers Usawoti honestly.”Sorry about the Coven…did you manage to do anything about the demon fungus queen? She must not be allowed to get to Golarion.” He reaches out of his lethargy as he stretches his thoughts to ask Iya-Iya, ”How’s the evacuation going on the other side – can you reach them by telepathy? Are they having issues?”
She didn't get to kill him personally. A group of adventurers did it. And after the deed was done and the adventurers returned to her, she told them to leave her alone. She had lived so long with that desire for vengeance and now it was gone she didn't know what to do with her life. It was a rather sad scene really. Wouldn't bother too much about Ye-ye. You cannot stay here so the only thing you can do is bring her back to Golarion. What happens after that is not within your control. You have no magics to slow time in its place. Nor would you in character know what would happen upon Golarion entry.
Now about morality checks on this - nadda. Warcraft 3 is a real time strategy game. There's no roleplaying in it. You just choose the race that suits your fighting style best. Unfortunately mine turns out to be the zerg rush style undead... I also play orc semi decently but I can't stand night elves. Wimps. Side note, I run a necromancer in path of exile. Just because I like zombies to do my dirty work, and meleeing people up in the face is a gear check, and my gear isn't very good.
I'm talking into the being turned into a banshee part. The wrath of the lich king expansion, was by WoWers one of the best ones. Now anyway..eh Sylvannas isn't a very happy forsaken at the moment, expanded universe books state that she did try to kill herself once and had a glimpse of her afterlife. Which isn't pretty. I always wondered why, since she was the victim of the whole thing. My BF speculates it's probably because her body was desecrated by the lich king/she did some fair nasty things under his control(tell me about it, I played warcraft 3 and undead is my favorite race), so yes I did the undead campaign with a happy, goofy grin on my face. It generally involved a whole load of ghouls,
So if you said sylvannas did nasty things while under the control of the lich king, oh yes I know very well what I did...

'Is that is all that will sustain me throughout my lonely servitude? Duty?' Inarus feels hollow inside as he thinks those thoughts.
But I want to go home.... *snuffles* Lol. I suppose I get to watch my Golarion reality TV series by greater scrying.

I do not have telepathy and honestly it was really like all over the place, involving hours sitting and scribing tattoos, which was a bad idea considering the place is unstable and we have no idea how much time we have in each area, nor what would happen once that said time ran out. Not to mention with incorporeal template, healing would be halved as well(or have 50% chance of not working). Looking at the whole thing I just gave up and decided I couldn't be arsed to try to heal since it was really too long a song and dance ritual.
I will say that being utterly immune to all spells that gave SR was one of the catalysts for my decision to break the whip. I figured that without the game mechanics to heal myself - the only other way was extremely complicated and unclear(which I hate as a player because I hate grey area), I was already a dead dragon walking. So hey, must as well get some use of the spell immunity and either pull it off, or go out with a bang right?

Once everyone has been banished from the tower, Inarus curls into a ball and begins to weep. 'I could have kept Iya-iya with me. But if she stayed in the tower, she would get corrupted by it. She deserves a better future then that. To fly free under the open skies of Golarion. Just too bad I won't be there to see it...' I am not concerned about Erevel. For not telling us the whole story, he can rot for all I care. You're still mostly human, while I got the short end of the stick, trapped here for...something pretty much short of eternity. Yeah I would put the portal for the giants where it would not contaminate them by sin and most of them could get out. I'm sorry GM, but it's better you do the placement with me giving the rough idea since you know the map better then I. Anyway, I'm in a slightly irritable mood. Duty is indeed a harsh mistress.’ ”Goddess light our path and grant us speed.” Then he begins to use the keys, one to seal the abyssal portal, one to open the portal at the entrance of the plane, and one at the giant’s border, while simultaneously banishing his people and everyone else to their appropriate destinations.
”Iya-iya..” Inarus reaches out to her telepathically. ”I’m sorry. I have one more favour to ask of you. I have just banished you out of the tower to the front entrance – with the majority of my people. There will be a portal opened to Golarion there – convince my people to go through it – it will lead out to Varisa – on Golarion. The portal will only be open for 21 minutes – so they need to make haste.” ”Some of my people will be banished to the Giants Island – help me convince them, as well as any Giants you see to flee to Golarion – this place is going to be purged and there is nothing I can do about it – the only thing I can do is to save as many lives as possible. Inarus answers sorrowfully, his mental voice regretful.”Then take the portal yourself. The portal will only be open for about 21 minutes so you’ll need to hurry. Try to get as many people out – but don’t put yourself at risk.” "Tell our people to use the telepathic bond to contact those on the Giants Island - telling them to go to the Giants border and use the portal.
Then he opens the mental link to Usawoti, feeling it like pulling a sore tooth. ”Please – help me take care of Iya-Iya and my people – tell the Coven – and the giants – they need to evacuate this plane – there will be a portal opened by the Giants Island border. But make haste – for there is little time – each portal will only hold for 21 minutes. Godspeed.”
I am happy to proceed the way TL described then. If I can I would bear the burden of neg levels and ability score drain on myself, if not - allocation as stated.
Portal will be at Giants island border. But maybe you might want to wait a while for me to compose my farewell to Iya-iya. I might never see her again after all. It's going to be a lonely 10,000 years...
Weighing if I want to banish Iya-iya to Golarion now as part of the activation process. You and the three sisters get banished to the plane. So you can go and find the Coven and tell them about it. Part of me does, to keep her safe and ensure she gets out, but my people will need a guide.. And I don't know who to trust. You're a little shifty. I will boot Iya Iya out of the tower because bad things happen if she stays. Whether she wants it or not. Think Spiderman telling MJ not to get involved with his superhero business. I can only open portal at giants and not Coven. What the Coven does is their problem. They must be warned to leave. If they choose to stay after the warning it's their choice. I would hope you could go to Golarion with yeye, but if you wish to stay here, it's your choice as well.
Tell you what - since this is going to take a long time, you go get well first, then attend to this later.
Yeah. But you're giving it to people who may/may not know how to use it - and once I throw you out, there's no stepping back to where I currently am. Questionable if the key needs to be activated in time or place either/do I need to be physically present to activate it. The telepathy may stretch across planes - or it may not function once you're out of the tower so essentially its a case of lost contact.
We received this as part of the mission briefing - it can be read to we are supposed to do what is necessary down here.
I also have reason to believe the Coven's knowledge is incomplete. Perhaps they believed that the keystone would be an end to all problems, but after what I have seen - I believe that it's just...how to make the best out of a crappy situation.
I believe more in what I have seen then what someone has told me from back ages ago - since they never told me about what we would be facing nor that I would end up what I am now. They told us to get the keystone without telling us what we'd face. Admittedly they probably didn't know any better either, so it's not entirely their fault. Inarus would be able to understand Usawoti wanting to be with Yeye - that is probably the only reason why he does not choose to directly banish Usawoti to Golarion - that'd mean his responsibility to Usawoti has come to an end. To leave a key that could save countless lives - in the hands of people with incomplete information of the whole situation...may not be the best of ideas. |
