There's another applicant who beat you to it with an even better set of rolls. I think an old fashioned melee cleric is pretty MAD, even if it's not particularly exotic.

Could make him a high-Charisma guy, though that starts to feel contrary to character. Still prefer just pretending he's cursed until he can grab it. If I really wanted to go all out, I suppose I could rebuild as a Warsighted Oracle. But that's a whole other ballgame. I've always had a harder time building non-caster characters that I like, so I don't want to give this one up so easily.

Please, in the future, if you wish to come to me with a variant rule, ask me about it first. Sorry, I should've checked first. I've simply removed the variant multiclassing. The main theoretical change in the long term would be the possibility of a single-level dip in another martial class for the weapon and armor proficiencies. (I suppose it could also be a single level dip in Battle Oracle, but it seems weird to get the curse effect at level 2 or later and not at the start.) The basic theory of the character remains unchanged.
This is Tazo with my submission of Ideyoshi the Lesser - Brawler with VMC Oracle. The concept behind Ideyoshi is that he has acquired the spirits of many martial arts senseis in his consciousness. These senseis bolster his combat skills and teach him techniques that he himself would not naturally know (i.e. Martial Flexibility). While their guidance is invaluable, their presence also taxes his mind (i.e. Shattered Psyche curse). On occasion, he will exhibit a dual personality disorder as the spirit of the strongest Sensei spills out of him. I know there's already a monk submission from Zhu Jin, but I expect our characters will evolve to be quite different. Ideyoshi will probably end up playing more like a fighter over time as he will gain martial weapon proficiency and heavy armor proficiency (gaining such knowledge through greater access to the spirits of Battle within him). The current plan is to mix in a reach weapon and trip attacks with unarmed strike flurry of blows. Depending on group composition, he could also go in other directions. Full details in the profile. *Edit* - I wanted to add this video as some inspiration for a martial artist glaive fighter, although I'd prefer Ideyoshi be a little more effective than what is shown.

Ideyoshi grabs the key. "See if the cloak and ring may be of use. The rest may be too large for our use." Once the party is ready, he will open the door to the chamber beyond. -Posted with Wayfinder

Ideyoshi is almost ready to launch another chakram when the Queen's hand finally falls. "Well done. It seems these creatures of fire have been weakened. We should move quickly to put an end to this threat." Ideyoshi begins to heal the wounds of the party with his wand. Ideyoshi: CLW: 5d8 + 5 ⇒ (6, 4, 2, 5, 6) + 5 = 28
He then looks to the creature to see if she has anything they might need.

With smite evil, DR is automatically bypassed! Unless it's some sort of mythic DR, I suppose. "Did she just swat away your spell, Tasha?" Ideyoshi's wounds continue to close with divine power, though the cut by the Queen's Hand was quite deep. Lay on Hands: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 1) = 11. He tries yet another chakram. Attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33; Damage: 2d8 + 24 ⇒ (7, 1) + 24 = 32

Taking turn before action by the Queen's Hand "You cannot escape Shizuru's justice, evildoer!" Unable to reach the enemy in close combat, Ideyoshi instead does the best he can by hurling chakram. Smite evil! Chakram, Divine Favor, Smite Evil: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 2 + 4 = 32; Damage: 2d8 + 6 + 2 + 7 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 + 2 + 7 = 20 And taking turn after Queen's hand. Chakram, Divine Favor, Smite Evil: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 2 + 4 = 24; Damage: 2d8 + 6 + 2 + 7 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 + 2 + 7 = 23

Damn it, why does everything fly? Well, here's a revised turn. Ideyoshi's sword calls out to him. "The gods are with you, grandson. Channel their strength and restore honor to our family!" Ideyoshi continues to act with surprising speed. Mythic power to roll an auto-20 on initiative. Channeling the power of his sword, he receives the blessing of the gods. Divine Favor. His wounds quickly heal. Lay on Hands: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 5) = 9. He gazes at the creature's inner spirit to see whether the Queen's hand has an evil heart, as he suspects it does. Detect evil. Waiting on the results of detect evil before taking his next turn.

For now, Shizuru's favor shields Ideyoshi from the worst of the flames. Resist fire, 17 points remaining. Spending a mythic point to make Ideyoshi's initiative roll into 20, so he acts first. Ideyoshi moves swiftly into combat, avoiding the Hand's blows with ease. Swift action to cast Grace. He then swings furiously at it.
Waiting on the others before commencing his next round of attacks.

"Be prepared, something bigger is surely coming!" Ideyoshi charges the beast! As his blade meets the scaly hide, he quickly turns it to attempt another strike! Charge, then spending a mythic point for an extra Standard action. Charge: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 14 + 2 = 26; Damage: 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21

Ideyoshi opens his eyes from his morning meditations. "This cottage you summoned has been most refreshing, Tasha. Let us pray that today brings success in our mission to retrieve the tears." He stands and goes through the long ritual of donning his armor, before taking his talking sword in hand, ready to proceed.

At the same time he heals others, he also heals himself. Lay on Hands x5: 15d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6, 6, 1, 5, 1, 4, 3, 2, 5, 6, 2, 6, 5) = 59 That puts him at 74/79. "The gargoyles have the advantage of flight while we are hindered by the ground. Do we dare confront them again? If so, we must find a way to fly, or to bring them to the ground."

Ideyoshi begins to heal all who might need healing. Ladies first, though. Not sure how the healing will be distributed exactly but I'm rolling 6 rounds of CLW. You can claim them by rolling them for yourself. -Posted with Wayfinder

Ideyoshi is awake after the third heal. "The chalice! Do we have it?" The Tien man looks about and sees it. "Thank you - you have succeeded where I have failed." He too will begin to use his wand to heal himself and the party. Will start rolling once we have a handle on whether we can just roll safely.

Uh oh. Ideyoshi is sliced up by the gargoyles before he can even react! He is rendered unconscious and falls.... Fall damage: 5d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6, 3, 2) = 19 As the weight of body and armor impact the ground, Ideyoshi's body is twisted and contorted in grotesque form. "Nooooooooo! Yoshi!" cries the paladin's sword. "Your death will not be in vain." Ideyoshi is at -39, making him quite dead.
