Am very much impressed with the article on Hellknights. Truly inspiring.
Just arrived home; too tired to post for Inigo until I've had some sleep. Be back in a few hours.

Ready to jump in; just need my hook.
For Thom
Sorry guys. I've been away for far too long.
Inigo is down to 6hp. Inigo takes a five foot step away from the Otyugh, as his move action for round 2.

That's the way I read it. Contested Grapple Checks for: Round One 1d20+3=10, Round Two 1d20+3=16
I get a feeling I won't win Round One.
"Gah! Let go of me!"
"'Tis best that I take the lead. Anyone better armored than I?"
Inigo pulls out a handkerchief. He coughs and wipes some blood from his lips.
-2 to Con here.
Wait until Inigo channels some very bad juju.
"After it! It might alert others of its ilk!"
I'll post my next action after I get some sleep. See you guys later.
Thom, do you agree with my interpretation that the 1st level domain ability is an at-will ability? Or can I use fire bolt again?
Inigo coughs out some blood and wipes it away with the back of his hand.
"I am alright."
Inigo tosses a copper piece radiating light in the direction of D5.
"They already know we are here. Might as well know where they are."
CrimsonDM wrote: Inigo go ahead and take an AoO even though you're on full defense. And don't worry, your more intelligent foes will no doubt target you. AoO Attack 1d20+3=17, Damage 1d8+2=8
Inigo presents a credible target to the enemy. "Hey, you!"
Full defense here. The others can go on a flanking manuever.
Init 1d20+7=20
Is there a map?
"I shall occupy them, while you fling destruction among their midst."
"Methinks that the our mysterious person in distress is a mischievous sort... or the type so craven to the point of stupidity."
Inigo shines his light on the area searching for clues.
Perception 1d20+5=22
Inigo steps forward and lays his hand on the door, "I'll open it." He grips the door and opens it though he is prepare for whatever may be on the other side.
"Cautiously now."
"Who are you?!" Inigo shouts through the door.
Inigo shines a light to aid Jeorik. He moves to a flanking position.
"We must continue with our exploration for us to find the rest of him."
"You suspect an impending epidemic?"
"There will be chaos and a breakdown of order. It must not be allowed."
"Gaekhen is of the Shoanti, yes? I noticed some body parts awhile ago. Have you seen that too."
Inigo looks on the books with disgust on his face. "Such subject matters pollute the mind and makes it an inappropirate vessel for faith. I say let's burn these books!"
No one mentions a contrary opinion, Inigo toasts the the books.
"Friends, we must push forward."
Inigo warns against touching the iron bound spellbook, "That thing could have a ward on it."
For Istas
"Beware! This monster may still have the power to menace us."
"Still your insolent tongue! A person is nourished not only by bread but also by the precise teachings of the First Lord's laws!"
For CrimsonDM
CrimsonDM wrote: The prisoners dig into the food voraciously. Exclaiming how much better it is than what they'd been given by their captors, they thank you all profusely. One of them, a woman, would like to know your names.
and I would like to know your plans. Well done with the food.
"I am Inigo. And I pray that this deed removes some of the misunderstanding being heaped on the name of our church."
Read my lips: Nuke all vegetables.
Neil, you got my vote.
CrimsonDM wrote: I'm likely to be posting only once or twice a day for a few. Big customer visiting at work. Good luck :D
"I understand your concern, priestess. The derro will not think twice to attack us from behind."
Iñigo wrote: "Back! We hold them at the doorway!"
I am not keen for the entire party to suffer more damage from the acid-spitting skulls. I can't unload the burning hands without risking splashing the others.
My action for round one is actually to move back to the doorway. Round 2, when everyone has gotten out is to fire off the burning hands at the snakes.
Inigo delays his action until it is all clear to unleash hell.

See the map.
Inigo leads, the light of the First Lord granting illumination to these dark surroundings.
