![]() Here is Corrik's entry for the campaign. An Oni-Spawn Tiefling: PoW Stalker(Brutal Slayer) for the gestalt, Warpriest(Warpath Follower) with a Monk(Silver Fist) dip for the other side. Build is mostly done but still doing some tinkering and double checking for any mistakes with all of the homebrew rules. If selected, I'd modify the backstory some to meld it better with the campaign and party. Appearance:
Hiriko is an Oni-Spawn Tiefling, prominently shown by her red skin, gold eyes, fanged teeth, and large build. She stands at an impressive 6'1", and her Oni physiology and a lifetime of monastic training has given her an even more impressive physique. Despite being nearly 70 years old, she appears to be in her late teens to early twenties by human standards. The front of her hair is soft, smooth, and white as snow. The back of her hair is a course and twisted mane of crimson. She is never seen without her mask, made from the skull of her Oni ancestor, braided in to her hair. She wears traditional Minkai monastic clothing. Personality:
Hiriko has many things in common with a volcano. Large, noble, powerful; Calm and serene one moment, firey and destructive the next. With a pride easily stung and anger easily flared, Hiriko commonly picks fights with those around her. However, she does not act with malice or sadism, treating brawls as others treat conversations or arguments. Quickly forgetting and forgiving after a fight and careful not to inflict too much harm. Hiriko does not care for rich or fancy food, preferring the simple temple food on which she was raised. The one exception to this is sweets, for which she has a fondness and weakness.
As a yamabushi, Hiriko has a detached view of the world. Like most of her order, she prefers relative solitude and the grandeur of the natural world to the hustle and bustle of civilization. As such, Hiriko is mostly unconcerned with the day to day problems of the world and its people. However, her order does not consider itself to be apart from the world, and matters of imbalance or stagnation concern them greatly. It is for such matters that Hiriko occasionally journeys through the sphere.

Backstory:
Hiriko is from the Ikkaku Peninsula region of Minkai. She was born and raised in her family’s hot spring inn at the base of Mount Kumijinja. Spirits and outsiders have a large and physical presence in Tian, being considered a natural part of the world. Oni blood had also long been known to flow in the veins of the Kaneka clan. Because of this, Hiriko did not have to face the difficulties that Tieflings face in other spheres.
Her parents, Shiroto and Meguma Kaneka, raised her with care and affection, and only sometimes lost their patience when she broke through a wall. Hiriko has fond but faint memories of her mother, as Meguma died in childbirth with Hiriko’s brother Takashi. Hiriko never harbored feelings of resentment towards Takashi and played the big sister as best she could, though she was ill suited for the roll. However, Takashi’s human biology and maturity saw their roles start to reverse after but a handful of years. When Takashi was 5, Shiroto remarried to a woman named Umie. Soon after giving birth to Hiriko and Takashi’s half sister, Ameiko. Whom also inherited the oni blood of the Kaneka line. Hiriko left to join the yamabushi a few years after Ameiko was born, but her frequent visits home ensured they remained close. Even at a young age, Hiriko displayed great strength and a fiery nature. She soon joined the monastery that tunneled through the mountain, a traditional role in her family. Hiriko had always resisted chores, education, and her family’s trade. However she near instantly took to her training, both the physical and spiritual aspects. It was not long before she earned the favor of the god Yamatsumi. While meditating in solitude, an earthquake opened a small fissure in the earth near Hiriko. A solid metal tetsubo jutted from the opening, red hot from the lava which flowed freely like blood from a wound. Despite this, Hiriko felt drawn forward. The lava cooled and hardened beneath her feet as she approached. The red hot metal only felt warm to the touch as she pulled the weapon free, hefting the large, heavy weapon with ease. From that day forward, Hiriko wielded not just the strength of her Oni blood and the skill of her monastic training, but also the power of Yamatsumi.
Quote: I might submit a Psychokineticist (Void) / Divine Paragon Cleric of Tsukiyo. I don't own 3rd party content so I imagine that the character will probably be sticking to paizo specific stuff ^_^ Most of the content Path of War content can be found on the SRD and most of the Spheres of Power can be found on the Wiki. ![]()

Backstory:
Snow’s first memories are of anger and fear. Of being chained up, waiting for the demonic cultists to sacrifice him in their strange ritual, like the other children before him. However, Snow was not to share their fate. Something in the ritual went wrong. The energies failed to corrupt Snow’s soul, instead absorbing in to the Tiefling and awakening arcane power. This power allowed Snow to reach out, to call for help. A call answered by Hisoka, a servant of Calistria. In return for freedom, love, power, and revenge Hisoka offered Snow a partnership in service of The Savored Sting. At Snow’s ready agreement, Hisoka was to the chains binding Snow, becoming his weapon and symbol of service to Calistria. The cultists were too busy attempting to rebalance the ritual to notice Snow free himself. Summing his new found power in to Hisoka, Snow lashed out, striking the leader of the cultists in the eye. As the leader cried out in pain, the energies of the ritual became unstable, leading to a massive explosion of power. Snow was hurt in the explosion, but it gave him the chance he needed to escape. After fleeing, he was found by a group of Kellids on their way to Kenabres. They took Snow with them and, after hearing his tale, granted him his name “Stolen Snowfall”. A literal, pragmatic people the Kellids. Snow was raised in Kenabres by one of the many groups dedicated to caring for the city’s orphan population. He had a difficult childhood, never truely finding a place. His nights were also haunted by nightmares of the ritual. It wasn’t until he was older, still young, but older and on his own that he began to thrive. The energies of the ritual bathed Snow’s very being. That and his connection with Hisoka allowed him command of both Arcane and Divine magic. He was also able to wield Hisoka with great ability, another testament to Calistria’s favor. This made him quite capable of being a tool for Calistria’s vengeance. Especially demons, whom he’d carried a special hatred forl. He was also fond of his goddess’ tenants towards indulgence, both of lust and knowledge. However, he was less fond and skilled of her command to spread her influence and Hisoka’s goal to gather followers. Snow was far better at insulting someone than carrying a pleasant conversation. The common misgivings or outright mistrust of his tiefling heritage by the population of Kenabres also did him no favors. Still, he did what he could; Changing his clergy clothing to resemble a jester and practising jokes in an attempt to be more appealing. Alas, these efforts tended to make him more intimidating to most. That is not to say that his efforts were entirely in vain. His treatment of the city’s small prostitute population as honored servants of his goddess made him quite popular with the group. Most of the proper meals he ate came from them. His skill with spell and whip and ferocity towards demons earned him a true brother in arms status with many of the city’s crusaders. He also made most of his money helping citizens gain vengeance on those who had wronged them. Unfortunately, the case by case nature of these efforts limited their scope. A fact that Hisoka often complains of. Still, after a time Snow actually began to feel he had earned a place. It had been several years since he had truly been scraping by. His efforts for the city and against demons were recognized, even if only by some. Snow was enjoying Armasse and feeling quite pleased with himself when a powerful explosion ripped through the air and shook the ground. It was quickly followed by several more blasts of powerful magic and the sounds of crumbling buildings. Before Snow was even able to get his bearings, demons began to flood the area. Snow threw himself at the demonic hordes, joining with the rest of the cities defenders. The battle was truly over in several minutes, but lasted hours. Snow battled to the point of exhaustion. By the time the sun had began to set, he had expended all his magic and was barely able to move. It was a turn of luck that he survived. As he battled, the dark streets were briefly illuminated by a brilliant flash of magic striking one of the great winged demons flying through the sky. The demon cried and fell in its death throes, heading towards Snow. Had it hit him head on, it would have killed Snow instantly. By the blessings of his Goddess, debris slowed its crash. Still, Snow was instantly knocked unconscious and thrust in to the exposed basement of a damaged building. Another stroke of luck saw the corpse of the demon block the opening, hiding Snow’s unconscious body from the demonic hordes. By the time Snow awoke and was able to free himself from the basement, the sun had risen and the city had fallen. Moving carefully through the streets, he was able to make it to the Defenders Heart with minimal trouble. With the remaining survivors beginning to rally, his mind turns towards vengeance.
Personality:
Snow shares many traits with his goddess: Temperamental, passionate, indulgent, mischievous, humourous, and vengeful. While he is willing to quickly resolve or overlook petty affronts, he is unforgiving and merciless when seriously offended. Taking the “All slights against me will be repaid tenfold” code to heart. Despite this, he is not prone to escalation. A slight of words is responded with words, pranks with pranks, and violence with violence. Because of his temper at being offended, he takes care not to offend others. Being quick to apologize for even perceived slights. However he is deeply offended if his apology is not accepted. Though he takes care not to offend others, he does so only to a limited expense of his own desires. Despite his vengeful nature, Snow’s life in Kenabres has deeply impacted him. For all his life he has known the preparation for war and the shadow of demonic attack. This has given him a strong sense of community and desire to to help those around him. The constant flow of ever-changing collections of crusaders has taught him to deeply value time spent with others, as it tends to be short and there will often never be another chance.
Appearance:
Snow stands tall with pale skin and a fairly toned physique. He wears black and and yellow silk clothing in Calistrian design but a harlequin fashion. Often with accompanying henna tattoos and gold jewelry. His tiefling heritage is evident from a distance. He has snow white hair, glowing yellow eyes, black horns sprouting from his forehead, fanged teeth, and a prehensile tail. Hisoka is a long metal chain which appears to be made from shadow. It has a black dragonskin handle wrap emblazoned with 3 yellow daggers in a spiral version of Calistria’s holy symbol. |
