Heverly's smile shines as she accepts the offered chair from Brice ]b]"Thank you , that would be much appreciated."[/b]
She turns to see the Cardinal and Tiadora coming in. She keeps her face resolutely passive as she watches the hateful woman coming to their feast.
At the ritual the Cardinal performs, she raises an eyebrow, but shows little other reaction. It seems such a waste to destroy a thrall, but I guess they must be easy to come by. Then the Cardinal is standing near her, drawing on her forehead, and Heverly understands. This wasn't just a random killing, this is a full ritual. It makes me wonder. . . . but then the strange sensations flowing through her overwhelm her thoughts and she sits back down hard.

Heverly finally comes in looking immaculate, almost as if she were attending a feast at one of the major nobles houses. Her gold hair done up to show her strange ears reminiscent of felines.
Heverly smiles wide at the others and comes in to join them, taking an open chair. She shows hesitance at first in indulging, but after watching some of the others dig in so readily, Heverly picks up her pace a little, heaping a few of the tastier dishes onto her plate.
Finally, seated and served, Heverly raises her glass in the air, "A toast. To us! Our success may not be guaranteed, but we are strong, and have made ourselves stronger still. We can take on any challenge that lies before us."

After the last Fight
Heverly smiles wide at the burning swath of destruction she left in their enemy, feeling exultant in their fresh win. She congratulates the others before moving off to prepare.
Back in her rooms, she prepares herself, instead of taking the easy route with the circlet, Heverly takes time to do herself up, dressing up in her finest, a red gown of fine material with intricate embroidery and several nice pieces of jewelry to complement and accent the gown. Several hours later, and just in time, she is ready for the feast.

Training Montage
Heverly throws herself into the training. For the first month, she only ever appears as Genevieve. Then for a week, she comes in, every day, a different identity, until finally, she starts to come in, hesitant at first, as herself.
Heverly works hard, learning her strengths and weaknesses, and how the group can fit together. Once she starts joining as Heverly on a daily basis, she begins to attempt to pull the others together as well, hosting small bits of entertainment here and there, sometimes dancing, sometimes a simple reflection of their first night together, or even once an elaborate feast that she'd paid for. Each to give the knot the time and ability to grow closer. She spends her time getting to know and trying to get close to each of the others individually, and then to help them get to know one another.
With Tiadora Heverly is short and does little to hide her disdain of the wasted pain. Despite her distaste of the woman's teaching, Heverly knew it was important to learn, and she did.

Heverly nods slightly as she is introduced, but says nothing as the others get acquainted and sign. She watches them sign, then sighs, almost a growl, and lets the illusion of her disguise fall. A tall willowy woman, with blonde hair and catlike eyes stands there in a fine gown with several bits of jewelry. "It still cannot be easy for me. But this my true appearance. However, for the most part, when we work, I will be in disguise, and you can refer to me as Genevieve. As for my skills, I too do magic, though mine comes from the gods and goddesses of fire," she says as she snaps her fingers creating a flash of sparks. "Asmodeus prime among them."

I would actually suggest a two way split. If I'm taking the cloak of (we assume Resistance), that's a big ticket item at this point. I'd say we split the rest between Silarsha and Charmaine.
This is all assuming that the GM does give them some things to bring them up to our level of wealth. If he doesn't have a plan for that, then split it 3 ways with the 3rd share going to our newcomers.
Either way, I've already got more than my share.

I would like 4 way, but I think that depends on how and when Wocket leaves. If she's gone at this meeting we're going to, then I think 4 way works out best. Or maybe even honestly 3-way (cut me out since I'm getting the cloak (likely a cloak of resistance, but we don't know that yet).

Welcome back. Glad to see you again.
Good luck to you all. A lot of great submissions here.
One quick note: I think it was just a typo above, but our GM actually said they would be back Thursday or Friday. So late in the week. Not a huge difference from what Silarsha said above, but somewhat important.

Rather than send my thoughts to all, mostly because they're not specific yet, I agree with what Silarsha sent us all.
As a side note, Psychic is a full caster. From what I've seen they're similarish to Sorcerers (Spontaneous casters) but with a different spell list (they don't technically count as arcane) and also casting works differently (no somatic or verbal components, only certain material components). But, yeah, it'd probably fit the role we're looking for.
I'll start looking through things and then do a pm to give thoughts on specific candidates.

Ew... Two eights, and combined with that free 18 and the two higher rolls I'm over 30 so I can't even knock one up to 10.
I understand that. I hit that problem as well. Ended up using one of my racial increases to bring at least one of the eights to ten. But with such high rolls, I didn't really need the racial increase elsewhere.
BTW; I am also one of Taliesin's players. I'm the Oracle.

Heverly nearly collapses in bed when she returns to her rooms. She is almost asleep before her head hits the pillow. The next morning, she sits down and spends a long time thinking over her purchases and what she needs. She quickly discards the guards shield and armor as too unwieldy, then writes her own list down, handing it to the slave without a word. She spends her day lounging in comfort, and relaxing. When she finds there are others staying with them, Heverly takes time to disguise herself before meeting them, and introduces herself to them as Genevieve. She wears the disguise whenever she is out of her rooms from then on. That night, she puts on a show for those who would watch using the performer's outfit she got.
She dances well enough, but the quarters seem cramped, and she gets more frustrated as she goes along. Despite her poor showing the first night, she spends a portion of the next two days practicing in the tight quarters, while some of it is spent shut up in her room with a book she found. The nights she spends attempting a new show. The second night is slightly better, but not much. By the time she gets to the third night though, (even if none are left to watch by then), her performance is amazing. and she moves naturally within the room. She beams at the end of it, feeling accomplished, but still inside, something nags. A fire that burns unsatisfied and waiting. For truly that is all she does for this time, is pass the time in waiting.

So, it sounds like the chainmail and masterwork longsword are being kept by Silarsha. The veil is being kept and the potions (I think Wocket's holding on to one of those if I remember right). I've got and am keeping the Spell component pouch, asmodean unholy symbol and a dagger. I believe Charmaine has the other dagger and the thieves tools. Probably also keeping the rope and bullseye lantern.
From Talia's List, that would leave:
3x Chain shirts (25gp each)
3x Heavy Steel Shields (5gp each)
3x Clubs (worthless)
3x Longbows (18.75gp each)
60x Arrows (.75gp total)
127 gp, 28 sp, 20 cp
Assuming no one takes the Talirean marked stuff, that brings the sell to a total of 148 gp and 5 sp
bringing the grand total to 275 gp, 33 sp, 20 cp
or
55 gp, 6 sp, 4 cp each, with 3 sp left over (could probably exchange it with the copper to make it 55 gp, 7 sp each, or if not, then 55 gp, 7 sp for 3 people and an equivalent amount of 55 gp, 6 sp, 10 cp for two)

Okay, so I figure we should coordinate what we've got from the prison. The following is what is available from what I grabbed:
•1 Chain Shirt
•1 longsword
•2 Heavy Steel Shield
•2 leather wrapped clubs
•2 longbows
•40 arrows
•2 keys
•A Signal Horn
•Bullseye Lantern with oil
•100 Gold Pieces
•50 feet of rope
I believe Silarsha and Talia have got some more stuff from Blackerly.
I figure we can for sure keep the veil with the window for a quick escape another day. Someone might want to keep the rope, but Heverly doesn't want it. It's too heavy. We'll split the 100 gold pieces (5 ways, that's 20 gp each). The keys and signal horn are probably worthless at this point. Whatever isn't claimed after that can probably be sold?

Heverly steps out of her room, clean and fresh, ready to go. We can finally end this mystery and find out what they have in store for us. When Tiadora sends Grumblejack away, Heverly pulls her lips into a thin line, but says nothing.
Finally following along to the office, Heverly looks around, amazed at the display. Once Cardinal Thorn begins to speak, Heverly focuses on him and listens intently. She looks down at where Wocket has thrown herself to the floor, and smiles, but Heverly continues to stand, poised as she can.
As the Cardinal continues his speech, Heverly's face grows more determined and excited. By the time he's finished, Heverly's face is glowing. She steps forward quickly, "If you will give me vengeance on those fools, then yes, I will swear myself to you and your cause for life. I will show no mercy and I will bring the fires of war to all of Talingarde."

It's really interesting to see the different reactions to all of this. Like how Talia is protective of Grumblejack, Wocket's luxuriating in all of the power, and Heverly is somewhat in between with a, "Why would you treat a useful tool like that" attitude mixed with indifference and luxuriating. I'm really enjoying this. I think we've got a well rounded group.

Heverly scowls slightly at Tiadora's treatment of Grumblejack, but says nothing. He's been useful so far and may still be useful yet. There is no reason to treat him so poorly. However as the slaves begin to take them to their rooms Heverly visibly relaxes and seems to forget about Grumblejack.
She enters her room and her face just beams. She looks down at her current state and a loud laugh comes fountains out of her. Quite the contrast there. Despite her delight at the strange contrast, she is quick to strip out of the common clothing and to begin washing herself off. She turns to the slave in her room, "Fetch me some food. I have not eaten all day." She continues washing but turns back before the slave leaves, and adds, "and some wine as well. A nice vintage if you please."
Heverly takes her time to make sure that all signs of her recent ordeal are taken care of, even taking a moment to cast a last spell, despite the fact that it is likely not necessary.
Once clean Heverly takes time to dress, luxuriating in the feel of nice, fresh clothing. Though she wonders a little at the fit, How could they have such a perfect fit?
Waving her worries from her mind, Heverly sets herself on the bed and lay down as she waits for the slave to return with food.

Heverly is not surprised to watch this creature come out in front of them and immediately begins to act. She steps forward, pressing her hand against it, as a small burst of flame jumps from her to the toad.
Touch of Flame vs Touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

I guess I could try the Knowledge Check Untrained: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Nope, no good.
Heverly shakes her head almost imperceptibly, "I don't know what it is yet," she whispers, "only that it's very big. For now just keep an eye out." Then resuming her normal voice again, "I doubt they would go through the trouble of helping us, just to hide us. I'm sure they've got something for us to do." I just wish I didn't sound like I was trying to convince myself too.

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Heverly looks around, then starts, and pulls back for just a moment, then continues on as if nothing had happened. "Look there, there's something watching us from the pools," she says in a low voice, nodding towards where they lay. Then she continues in her normal voice, "We have a meeting there. And I hope some further help as well, because I don't know if we can evade those guards forever." Her voice is slightly tight, but she continues on, trying to pretend nothing is wrong.

Heverly breathes a sigh of relief as Grumblejack grabs the dog, then smiles at the strange pairing, shaking her head. Finally past the gate and out into the open, Heverly gives a muted whoop, looking back up at the prison above them, "We did it," she breathed, "we actually did it."
She takes only a moment to exult in the feeling before gritting her teeth, Don't lose focus now. They can still take us back if we don't get far away from here.
Heverly looks around, trying to find her bearings, "Tiadora said the Old Moore road. There's a manor there that we need to find. One lantern in the upper window." She looks around trying to find her way. "This way," she calls, leading the others to their new lives.

Heverly steps up next to the dog, shaking her head at the image of the large Grumblejack, looking so tenderly at the dog trying to bite his leg. She burst out with a short laugh at the site of it, combined with the relief of having the guard down already. Just a dog left between here and freedom.

Heverly follows along behind, moving as if she were trying to be unseen by the men at the gatehouse, but doing a poor job of it. Finally as the lanterns go over the side, she let's Blackerly go first, then drops the extra chain shirt with the second light, letting it splash in the darkness. When it's all complete, she moves back into the shadows attempting to not hide out of sight should the guards come down the bridge.
Bluff to convince that I'm just bad at Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Bluff to Assist Wocket: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

The biggest thing for me is that we don't really know what kind of information they have from the horn. If we assume they know everything the people up in the gatehouse know, then Wocket's plan seems best to me. They could actually fall for it.
Sure, if all they know is that there's trouble at the gatehouse, then the other plan would probably be better. But if all they know is trouble at the gatehouse, why haven't they left their post already? It seems to me like they're already looking for escapees, which suggests it must have been communicated somehow.
Edit: Seems I was too late to the discussion anyway. Oh well.

Mostly the same, except, honestly, especially since we've just stripped him down--but even before that--why use Blackerly at all? If he's hurt, why is he chasing the prisoners? I say we just leave him behind, or maybe dump his body to help make the splash
As for disguises, I don't know that we have enough time to craft a good one. I don't look like I was in prison earlier today, but I don't look like a guard. And crafting a disguise at this point will take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes RAW. That's way too much time.
My thought of the plan was we'd be "prisoners," let the lights drop into the water and wink out, maybe at that point we don't even need a bluff check, but if we do, do it with just voices, try to keep them focused on the water, while we take them by surprise.

Heverly hands over the bag and begins pacing as she thinks for a moment, then finally shakes her head. "I like it, there is less risk in some ways, and it would be better, but Charmaine is right. We have no idea how much information they can convey with the horn. It could be that the horn only signals emergency. But if that were the case, why are they not already charging up there. Instead, they are scanning the bridge. Do the guards already know it's escaped prisoners and not an attack? I can't say. Simplest to stick as close to the truth as we can." She looks to Charmaine and nods. "Quick, then before it's too late and we have to fight them all at once." Heverly starts to stalk towards the center of the bridge.

Charmaine[ooc wrote: NOW ALL OF CHINA KNOWS YOU ARE HERE![/ooc] Perfect.
Also, plan can still be changed, but Heverly figures either way we should likely get moving.
