"Actually there is, if you would allow me to analyze the necrotic staff and if it helps me I will pay your group adequately for its worth. Remember I look for relics and powerful items. Besides that continue on with your mission and stop in when you wish." Helios says, which seems to be his normal booming voice, you likely would not like to see him yelling.
"As long as you fight with this group, they must think you trustworthy and you have not given me a reason to cinder you, goblins are just infesting my lands and I want them expunged or working for me. As you should know being a goblinoid, most goblins run in chaos, though give me a well regimented hobgoblin troupe over humans any day." It bellows out the words in your direction. The picture is rather accurate of any facial features that you see on the armored titan, almost none. You don't have a clue about what he is talking about, you can either ask him, your friends, or listen in as they respond.
"Very good, you have the situation in hand. Once the goblins are taken care of and my rituals are done, then if Ash wants to joing your alchemist he may. The others of you will be handsomely rewarded in gold besides the magical item that you ask for. Speaking of that Seraph." He says with his bellowing voice, intrigued that you have accomplished so much already. A dark skinned humanoid comes from the side, she carries a scroll case and wears some red silk clothing to cover the essential areas, leaving little to the imagination. "Yes my master?" She asks as she approaches him. "Record what items they want, they may have told me earlier but I have forgotten." He says simply. She comes over and asks each of you the details of the magical item to be crafted. Aa soon as Ash is mentioned a black furred medium sized flame maned canine, large end of medium comes running out to greet Arsil then Locke. Once done with its greetings it begins to be playful with Thaolin. The creature looks like a hell hound. The two canines take a little while then start playing as if cubs.
Round 2 The ranger gets almost within striking distance when the fiend does a round house kick, its tail being 15 feet long slams into Delograth before he can get into melee. He holds his own but skids to the side about 10 feet. Allamaraigh tries to summon a creature to aid them, but he soon realizes the whole area is sealed from outside magic. The fiend laughs, "Such a pitiful excuse, and you the heroes and last of the elves of that outpost!" He does another kick, sending his tail smashing into Delograth again. Delograth, "How dare you, we will destroy you!" Round 3 Delograth charges forward weaving the best he can to avoid the slam of the tail. He gets within arms reach of the fiend and tries to slam his blade into it, but to his amazement the fiend holds both of his hands at bay, then using its other hand it picks up Delograth by the throat. "There must be more of you, summon them to help you, yes you will need them." Allamaraigh does a sure thing and summons force to his aid. The magic missles shoot from his hands with green flashes. They swirl around the fiend to avoid Delograth and slam into the back of the fiend. The fiend looks unaffected. "How quaint," is all the beast says.
"No, but if there was any in my lair as the flares blew up, I doubt they would exist anymore either." The titan states with a bit of mirth in its voice. Arsil the castle seems to be rather sparse in anything but stone walls, blazing red runes, braizers, suits of armor, weapons, and the occasional skeleton, the remains of adventurers likely since weapons and armor are on the skeletons still, though most are charred and only metal items remain.
Soon enough some food, meat of some sort and a few vases with a sloshing sound from them, come floating into the hall. With metal plates, utensils for eating and stone cups. The food platters and vases land next to different people. "Eat your fill, and share. I offered you two missions, though it would seem that you are a more capable group, so I will task you to exterminate the goblin infestation in the area, as well report back any findings you have of those in power, as you allude to." The Fire Titan states.
"No, that will not do, sit. Tell me of this area and which mission you will finish first." The Titan says as he weaves a rune in the air. Then it sits down in the closest massive chair. Ash gets into another of the chairs. Locke is occupied with looking at all the runes and other objects in the room.
"Come forward and I will bless you with resistance to fire then, so that your skin does not blister." The Fire Titan says as each of you come near he puts his hand over your head and you feel a wash of warmth which stays with you. Once that is done. You get to the castle entrance and you all can see the blazing skeletons, they salute as you pass. The Fire Titan leads you into his castle and through several hallways with more lava in small trenches in the floor, bright red runes of power on columns and walls, and braziers full of flame. Then into a grand hall, set with a massive stone table. Only four massive stone chairs are set around it. Though with a wave of his hand more stone chairs grow out of the ground, to accommodate 8 medium creatures. "My stores are near empty of food for your kind, do any of you have the means to produce food?" It asks in its booming hollowly voice.

Once close enough to see the castle in its full splendor, you can tell that the crumbling tower you explored earlier is actually the top tower, it seems that the structure has been secured from the state that it was in before. The Fire Titan speaks slowly in its booming voice, Ahh, you have joined us. Anything interesting that you collected? Come, come, we shall dine in my main hall. Do you have an aversion to flames? It says as it continues to walk towards the castle. |
