Hey guys, I noticed that this game is no longer in my campaign tab. I'm guessing for lack of Gameplay posts.

I'm still happy to start up again if Dak is able to return, but am not sure how we can all coordinate if no one can see the campaign.

Ideas?

Hey Sarai, all you need to do is a post in Gameplay ;)

A dot.

I am really sorry to hear of all the difficult times you and your family have been going through Dak - all I can offer as re my sincere best wishes, and that you guys manage to get back on your feet as quickly and strongly as possible. All the best!

No worries at all whatsoever GM Dak - good to hear you are back on your feet and on the mend - THAT is the only important thing ;)

All the best!

S&+!. That is bad news Rising Phoenix. I hope he is on the way to recovery? Please, let him know I wish him the best.

Whaaaat? Gish?

Best characters ever! Martial + magic :D
I would say the Magus is a quintessential gish in PF 1e.

I have been slowly looking at 2e, and I like what I have seen so far - complete noob though :D

Lets not give up just yet - I hope all is well with Dak for starters, and then I hope he returns. I was really enjoying this game and group.

Bump? ;)

Glad to hear you are finished up with school for now Dak, and also that your wife is doing better. Best wishes!

No worries regarding the posting - I am really enjoying the game, so will not be going anywhere :D

Back from vacations and getting into it again - guess we are ready to depart next morning?

Feel free to bot me as needed.

Hedran wades in from the side, and swings his morningstar at one of the creatures - "What are these? Zombies?"

Morningstar (is it Bludgeoning and Piercing?): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Damage if it hits: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

No worries Sarai. Just get through that rough patch first.

Hedran stands up with a snarl - "I guess a good night sleep would be to much to ask..." - the words die out in his lips when he realizes what is going on.

He shuffles through his scroll case, retrieving a specific parchment and casting from it.

Mage Armor.

Then he grabs his morningstar and shield, and moves outside, into the fray.

Understood Dak, thank you for the heads up.

”I can also help with the watches” - Hedran chuckles - ”Two tents means me and Cameron will be sharing I guess, so you will have all the privacy you need while I am doing my watch turn” - he offers a toothy grin at them both.

”For now I am going to check if this deal involves dinner” - and heads out in search of food.

Thyra, I am really sorry to hear about it - teeth pain is damn horrible, and can be VERY debilitating, as you only wish to hit your head against the wall :/

On my end, apologies for the delay - over the last two days got hit pretty hard by high fever and some other messed up symptoms.

In current times... It causes some apprehension on top of the sickness itself. Trying to get back at it, if I can.

"I do not trust them one way or another" - Hedran pipes in, after joining the others - "But I have no issues with making some gold while we are at it. So count me in"

Hedran accepted the weapon and materials from Cameron, then turned around to Thyra and Sarai - "We should have just left"

"Nessa..." - Hedran offers a veiled warning to his companion.

"Yeah... I'll just wait out here I guess" - Hedran nods in agreement, and steps closer to Sarai.

Hedran grunts.

"Agreed Sarai" - Hedran nods - "It is risky, but we can give it a try"

Eeeesh, teeth pain is just terrible - makes you want to bang your head on a wall.

Good to hear you are getting better Thyra.

"Yep, that was very well done, and gave us a decisive advantage" - Hedran nods in agreement with Cameron, but his eyes are on Sarai as she moves into the darkness again.

AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

Cameron, how are you dealing d8+7+3 damage with the spear? I think I may be miscalculating my damage...

"If they are all blind, we can just run off?" - Hedran grunts.

If the group does not run, he attacks also, dropping the spear and going with the morningstar...

Morningstar: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Damage if it hits: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

Hedran has a scroll of Enlarge Person - just say the word and he casts it on you Thyra ;)

I would still like to try and move around the boars, but if they spot us :P

Hedran draws his longspear and moves side by side with Thyra and Cameron.

Aha!! Now I have an AoO too! Hohoho! :D

I think Cameron will only be able to AoO if he is in the first line if/when they charge? So perhaps the three of us, with Cameron in the middle?

"We will join you" - Hedran replies resolute, then turns to the others - "Ready to go?"

"Let us know immediately if needed" - the half-orc grunts at the tiefling under his breath.

"Try to find a way around Sarai - you know if we move in, they will surely hear us" - Hedran whispers back to his companion through the spell.

As Zeltyieli describes the area, Hedran ponders - "I know nothing of fungus - could those pose a danger?" - turning to Von-Dai.

Sarai admires the magic. "I need to get me one of those. I have one to help me swim like a fish, but not climb like that!"

"I think I have another scroll of those - you can take a look at it later"

Cameron Hawkwinter wrote:
Waiting was always the worst, Cameron paced nervously as Sarai scouted ahead. "She's OK right?" he said to the others after a few minutes. Of course they knew little more than he did about how she was getting on.

"She'll be fine..." - Hedran stood staring in the direction Sarai went off, arms crossed over his chest.

Sarai, maybe 30' is too short for the outdoors on the scouting SOP?

Let's keep this going ;)

Taking decisive action, Hedran asks his companions to solidly tie two of the ropes together.

Then he produces a scroll, unfolds it carefully, and reads from it, his hands and feet elongating into some sort of constricting apelike appendages, but with membranes between the digits.

Casting Monkey Fish: Your hands and feet alter to make you better at climbing and swimming. You gain a 10 foot climb speed and swim speed.

If I understand correctly, when you have a climbing speed you need no rolls to climb? Or..? If I am correct:

Then he proceeds to nimbly move up the cliff wall with one of the ends of the ropes looped around his torso.

If I manage to reach the top uneventfully, Hedran wants to 'peek' first, to try and make sure the area is safe, then tie the rope to a tree, or around a heavily set rock.

"I have magic to assist my climb - I could try to tie a rope at the top, and send it down for you guys to climb after?" - Hedran ponders - "But we would need to string two ropes together - I have one"

"Up?"

I assume the Climb DC here is harder Dak?

"Fine by me" - Hedran shrugs - "Left or right then?"

Dak, it is possible more than one person can climb at a time, right?

Sarai, any chance you can scout up there?

"Ok, first things first - let us move up there to the site where the tower was 'attacked' and try to understand what happened. Then we can decide on our next steps. Agreed?"

Idea is to move to C proper.

Hehe, that's ok Nessa. I just roll with the RP you know how it goes ;)

"I honestly thought we might not survive this one. Is everyone here ok?" - Hedran looks around at his companions and Sam - "I am truly sorry for your friends, there was nothing I could do to help amidst this catastrophe" - he adds, looking around.

"We are not in the best of standings with Zincher, though we are not enemies either - I am ok with looking for his camp, if the others agree" - the half-orc ponders - "Before going, I think we should search this area for any salvageable valuables which may assist us in the trek though" - he pauses - "And we should bury the dead"

OOC question - did anyone recognize what those beasts were?

Brace: 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 4 = 23

Cursing the fact he has not been able to aid any of the Cyphermages and that both Thyra and Nessa ignored his offer for help, Hedran focuses on himself, and this time around he manages a more solid hold, preparing to fend off the creature, if it comes at him again.

He seemed more optimistic, until he realized they were rushing to the water - "Gods damn this...."

If it takes a DC20 Concentration check, then I won't go for the spell cast - my chances of successes are minimal :P

Brace: 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 4 = 15

Gritting his teeth at the incoming attack, Hedran has no other alternative than to brace himself as best as he can.

Hedran shakes his head - he knows his chance of pulling off any such acrobatic stunt will be mere luck, so he resorts to what he trusts in - strength and magic!

Brace: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Managing to brace himself, he reaches for one of his scrolls, reciting it amidst the chaos.

Casting Monkey Fish ;)

"I have magic that can help!" - he calls out to Nessa.

I think my Arcane Pool bonus should still be up, so nothing more for now except standing ready as I move toward the others I guess :P

Acrobatics: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18
Reflex: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Surprisingly nimble, Hedran manages to maintain his footing even as he takes a serious crash from the tower's last floor.

Once the dust settles in, he begins moving towards the others.

I guess now I will have to move horizontally to get to the ground floor? :D

No worries at all Dak. Make sure to recover fully - these times are no joke...

Ok, if no banging against the windows or scraping against the walls on this round, Hedran heads downstairs.

"I don't think they will be coming through here - do you?" - he nods at Sarai.

Ok, in that case I am not opening the windows - is there any other way of ingress? Like a trapdoor coming from outside, or something along those lines?
