male Halfling Commoner 1

Healaugh considers his options. He has neither wine nor women at his disposal, but there is always song.

"I'm reckoning you'll be wanting to share what's going on with a fellow musician."

male Halfling Commoner 1

Grumpy at his own lack of insight, Healaugh nods. "Aye. Good plan that."

male Halfling Commoner 1

Chuntering under his breath, Healaugh scampers around the tree (move to V10). "Cheer up Nechtan lad, tha's still got plenty of fight left in thee"

Minor action, Healaugh's interpretation of Majestic Word. Nechtan can use a healing surge with an additional +4 on top. He can also be slid one square, but only if that's useful to him.

"Had about enough of you lads." He nods briskly and waves his wand, hoping to vanish from sight.

Eyebite on V3. 1d20+6 v Will = 23, 1d6+5=8 and Healaugh is invisible to V3 until the end of his next turn.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Reet proper ending that.

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Thorough lass our Brigid."

male Halfling Commoner 1

Ynyr takes a moment to examine the worksmanship of the boat. "Do you see, this is masterful craftsmanship, isn't it? Would it not be sensible to be getting in and sailing?" He glances at the sky with open concern.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Looking around the chamber, Healaugh shakes his head. "Sad pity all this. Still, glad old Sea King and his kin are resting properly at last. And will be better still seeing pucha scum sunk. This way ladies. Best be stepping aboard afore Brigid-lass loses patience."

He politely offers to help Melisana and Siobhan into the waiting vessel.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Pausing in his exertions, Healaugh nods at Ynyr, a trifle embarrassed. "Aye. That makes sense. Always said you were knowing one."

male Halfling Commoner 1

Healaugh helps out ...

"Brand, dost think we should move lad and gravegoods to biers afore sailing?" he pants. "Lighten boat as well, which might help some." The halfling is pink with effort as he tries to get purchase on the boat.

Good point about the corpse.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Healaugh cautiously lowers his javelin and calls out to the others.

"Reckon tis safe enough. Lad here died afore Coinneach got clever with ring."

He gazes at the ship in awe. "That's proper boat. She'll sail fine. Thanking you Brigid-lass."

He looks around to see if there boat can be pushed through the hole in the wall to the ocean.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Shifting the last pile of rubble, the halfling scrambles trough the hole and pulls out a javelin.

"Let's hope old man didn't make any fool wishes about this lad." he comments, bracing himself for any movement on the part of the corpse.

Here's 5 whacks at the wall

Brand pounds away at the brick with his axe causing sparks and bits of metal and brick to ricochet wildly

Healaugh, didn't the spear shoot lightning or something?

It did indeed, but he gave it back to Viladel in a moment of deranged nobility.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Healaugh can't do 5 damage with anything at his disposal, so there is little point. He will beat his fists against the brick in a show of support though. And move rubble.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Healaugh chucks himself fruitlessly at the wall in at attempt to help his friend.

Attempt to help break wall (1d20=8)

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Aye. He did. Said Viladel's son died afore him and got proper burial wi' ship."

Healaugh examines the brickwork.

"Reckon we can break through this Brand?"

male Halfling Commoner 1

Blown almost off his feet by the wind, Healaugh clutches the wall.

"Reet. Well, at least we know which way to go now. Only have to find blasted boat."

He plods back into the room and examines the walls again, paying particular attention of the professionally carved inscription.

Unless that's the wall we've just caved in?

male Halfling Commoner 1

Healaugh nods approvingly. "Give tha' hand in moment Brand lad. Summat I need to do first."

Now that the King and Queen are properly laid to rest, the halfling picks up the javelin and carefully lays it on Viladel's breast.

"Told Coinneach it were loan, and so it is. Not mine to take but yours to keep your Majesty. Rest well in arms of Brigid lass, you and your lady."

Nodding respectfully at the Sea King, he moves to help Brand with the lever.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Healaugh retrieves the javelin and carefully deactivates if before respectfully placing the queen's head back on her body.

"She'm royalty. Tain't right just leaving her. Happen we'll be laying the both of them out for proper rest before moving on."

He looks hopefully at Brand and Ynyr for help.

"Our Siobhan might say a word or two on their behalf. Then we'd best be finding boat."

DM

Spoiler:
Can we level up then? WOOOT!!

male Halfling Commoner 1

I think Brand pre-stated his action a couple of posts up.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Healaugh nods approvingly at Brand's decisive action.

Or rather he will when the opportunity arises.

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Old bugger messed up proper with his wishes."

Healaugh sighs, bows politely to the Queen and murmers

Spoiler:
"Llawela"
under his breath.

"Sorry about this your majesty, but you'll likely be wanting to join your husband. Go on now, send her to her rest," he adds to the javelin as he throws it deftly towards the walking dead.

Javelin attack on zombie queen (1d20 5=20, 1d4=3, 1d6=5)

Fearful that this won't be enough, he pulls out one of his despised pucha-scum weapons for a follow up.

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Grand shot, our Ynyr"

Healaugh remains appreciative even as he eyes the oncoming King with some apprehension.

What about the other slab, can he see anyone on that and more importantly, are they moving?

male Halfling Commoner 1

What were the terms of Brigid's lucky roll again? Now might be just the time to invoke it. "Pint-sized swine" indeed.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Make the most of his charms. He's on 3hp. One hit will finish him I fear.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Surprised by the impact of his polite bow, Healaugh loses most of his reflexes.

Init (1d20 3=5)

"Old fool must have wished wrong." he growls, hefting his javelin.

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Happen we've found Sea King this time."

With respect, Healaugh approaches area 18 and looks at the stone slab.

He's standing at the foot of it.

He bows politely. "Sorry to be intruding your majesty, but we're meaning no disrespect to your rest."

Over his shoulder to the rest of the party he adds, "Don't want to be upsetting him now, do we. Brigid-lass wouldn't like that."

male Halfling Commoner 1

Many pages ago, Siobhan lit up the javelin for Healaugh. Is it still alight?

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Aye."

Healaugh pushes the lump of rock.

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Reet. This is more like." Healaugh bounds across the hallway to join Brand and Conall.

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Come on, give us hand here. Spread out and search. Miss Melisana, if'n tha canst keep crossbow aimed at rubble, tha canst shoot fhoi myore that breaks through. Rest of us needs to be looking for doors."

Healaugh starts methodically working his way down the right hand wall.

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Pointless." he mutters, moving to the top end of the corridor where Coinneach pulled the lever and trying again.

Spotting for secret doors at top of corridor: (1d20 5=20)

male Halfling Commoner 1

"M'starting to think those boxes are there for a reason." agrees Healaugh. "Lay old un down respectful-like and let's be looking."

He heads back into the first alcove and hunts more thoroughly for anything that might be a secret door.

That's the alcove with the ankle height trip wire.

Spotting for secret doors in alcove 1 (where the trip wire was): (1d20 5=21)

male Halfling Commoner 1

Healaugh sighs and shakes his head before heading speedily down the corridor again.

"Best wake him up and see if he's got more useful ..." he trails off as the expressions of the others tell him that Coinneach will say nothing more, useful or otherwise.

"Been too many deaths for my liking." he says quietly. "Can't be doing with any more. Reckon he'll be wanting to lie with his old gaffer. Can we get him there dos'tha think?"

male Halfling Commoner 1

Healaugh shakes his head at Melisana's words.

"Just taking a wee look for boat." he calls quietly, surveying the room for anywhere that might concieveably hide such a large object. With a slightly unusual sense of self-presevation, he moves cautiously, only taking a few steps away from the entrance and alert for traps after his previous nasty experiences.

"Brigid-lass holds mah hand. Never fret Miss Melisana."

Spot check to hunt for possible boats: (1d20 5=22)

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Reckon I've found burial chambers..."

Healaugh looks back down "go slow" corridor in some consternation. "Looks nowt like Coinneach's map."

He pauses as a nasty thought crosses his mind. "Old fool said he used wish ring to keep Sea King fresh dint he? M'not sure I'm liking sound of that any too much."

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Happen our Coinneach got a few things wrong" he hisses at the others.

What does he see?

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Reet. M'running across. Doubt my weight will make much odds, and can check for danger."

Before anyone can stop him, Healaugh grits his teeth and throws himself down the corridor.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Spot check on dubious corridor: (1d20 5=20)

After fluffing several rolls recently, Healaugh is getting his mojo back again. Remind me if you will the exact terms of Brigid's blessing?

male Halfling Commoner 1

Any loose rocks around?

EDIT

Healaugh will look at the walls as closely as he can and do some tentative prodding with his javelin if he thinks it might trigger a trap before it falls on his head. Failing that, he'll do the tried and tested wannabe adventurer thing of chucking rocks at the floor to see if it caves in amusingly.

Specifically, he will look out for any protrusions or irregularities that might signal trigger points, looking as far down the passage as his lighted javelin will allow.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Healaugh eyes the corridor dubiously. "Can't be doing with any more rocks falling on us."

What brand of rolls would you like made?

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Not got time for this. Best be moving along. Cautious-like. Don't reckon our Brigid-lass means us to die down here, but won't be her fault ifn' we're daft enough to get squashed. Likely next bit o'corridor's trapped. "Go Slow". "

Healaugh's faith in Brigid is unquenchable.

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Reet. Anyone see wires anywhere?" Healaugh glowers at the unresponsive walls, floor and ceiling.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Rubbing his back and taking a bit more care this time, Healaugh proceeds down the next bit of corridor.

male Halfling Commoner 1

"Eee. Shoddy workmanship." Healaugh rubs his back and hopes that Brand has the sense to stay out of the way of the crumbling masonry.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Oops.

Concentrating on the dangers behind, Healaugh takes little notice of anything in his immediate vicinity.

Reflex save: (1d20+4=6)

male Halfling Commoner 1

Healaugh yanks aside the tapestry, aware that the Fhoi Myore may be on them at any second.

male Halfling Commoner 1

He continues down the corridor. If nothing untoward happens, he will wave at the others to follow him.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Fabes

Spoiler:

So, are we at the section of passage going past the "good water" sign or heading into Go Slow hallway?

Healaugh edges cautiously into the new stretch of hallway, keeping an eye open for the good water on Coinneach's map.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Healaugh pulls a face.

"Waste of time think on."

He steps back over the wire and heads towards the where the fresh water was indicated on the map.

male Halfling Commoner 1

Stepping carefully over the wire and keeping an eye and ear open for any other surprises, Healaugh looks hopefully at the crates wondering if any of them are useful.
