First of all, really sorry for missing this last part of the adventure. The conclusion was...very nice, and different from the other scenarios I have played. Very refreshing. Thank you Tarondor for running the adventure, as well as the other guys for playing with me.

Shaking his head, still unable to fully comprehend what is really happening around them, Haraldir follows paladin after a few steps, knowing that he needed a bit of space in order to be most effective if it comes to a fight.

Haraldir goes to see if he can recover one of the arrows which missed, and than simply stands idly as the exchange between his companion more versed in terms of arcane skills goes on.

"So, can we disable or dispel that sorcery, whichever it is?" - he asks finally.

Thankful to Zandibus and his oversized companion, Haraldir takes a step back prior to preparing and releasing two arrows at the masked figure.

"Whatever you do, please do not bang it...at least for now. Who knows what it might attract" - Haraldir answers to gnome, being aware how prone the little one was to act (usually in the least expected way).

He simply nods to Owyn's suggestion and states "Proceed, I am right behind you"

Fort: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Haraldir feels the cold numbing every part of his body. His mind slowly drifts to a distant memory, his own body nearly frozen in the mountains north of Absalom - Is this how it ends? Is this...

As his consciousness was slowly draining away from him, Haraldir feels the soothing touch of Caradeum;s magic, and as warmth and strength slowly returns to his muscles the ranger manages a shy smile: "Thank you Caradeum. Your help is most welcome"

After regaining his senses, Haraldir readies his bow and starts looking around, trying to avoid any nasty surprises. Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

"Aye" - Haraldir states briefly. He was never very strong with words, and he was very happy that they had both Owyn and Zandibus to cover those areas. Although, truth be told, ranger was having quite an issue in understanding half of the things which were coming from sylvan sorcerer's mouth, while his choice of companion was a bit...unusual. Still, Zandibus has proven his worth and he was a capable, if not a bit eccentric Pathfinder comrade, and Haraldir respected that.

Helping Bengeirr up, ranger proceeds to guide him slowly following Owyn's instructions. If OK with everyone, I am OK with proceeding - deliver Ulfen to nearest lodge, and get back to Skelg with lantern, as Owyn suggested

Haraldir proceeds to tie Bengeirr, and then stands guard over him waiting to see if the Ulfen leader will awake by himself, while his comrades search the ship and the warehouse.

Did anyone take those two potions of Cure Moderate Wounds? And if not - why not?

First talk to him, find out why he did what he did. Hear "his side' of the story. Turn him over to Pathfinder Society later, after we finish our mission. For now, focus on finding "a cure" whatever that might be for the "frozen guy" - IIRC that is our mission, right?

Finding still some signs of life in Bengeirr, Haraldir does his best to keep him alive.

"This one was strong, let me check if he is really dead. Ulfen warriors do not go so easy" - Haraldir kneels next to Bengeirr's fallen body, trying to establish if the man can be returned from Pharasma's grasp.

Unnerved that the big Ulfen warrior is still standing, Haraldir speaks under his breath "Not for long" before proceeding to shoot him with another pair of projectiles.

Will this flying monstrosity finally disappear if we shoot him down?

Finally free for a second of the large weapon looming over him, Haraldir concentrates and lets loose with two more arrows, fully focused on his target Bengeirr.

In a concerted attack with elven wizard, Haraldir sidesteps again so he would not be threatened by the large magical axe, and releases two arrows in rapid succession to what he considered to be the caster, standing on the platform.

...but it seems that the threat of glittering weapon is more than enough to distract the ranger.

Echoing paladin's actions, Haraldir decides it is time to act. He steps forward and to the side, trying to avoid the great sword stabbing at him. He knocks an arrow and releases it towards the man on the platform...

Longbow attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

...but the distraction of the huge shining weapon suspended in mid-air next to him proves as too much, and the ranger misses it's mark widely.

Haraldir will make a 5 foot step inside the warehouse and move to the left, readying his weapon and freeing the way for the companions behind him. In a firm voice he will state: "Drop your weapons! Warehouse is surrounded!"

His weapon at the ready, Haraldir states matter-of-factly: "I'll bring up the rear, no problem"

"Did you not hear Moravic?! He has objections to us...wait, you meant I was suggesting to off the guard?!?" - Haraldir casts a very surprised glance at paladin. "No, I simply meant to leave him like this, maybe throw his boots away or something, but not hurt a disabled man for sure! What in Desna's name....what do you take me for, a Norgorber priest?!"

Owyn, I just reaized why your paladin reacted that way IC. All the time I was under the impression that he was simply opposing us picking the lock on the door, and although I find that a bit too much, I did not want to react. Now, I scrolled back my previous post dealing with that, and understood what Owyn might have thought - sorry for confusion man. Haraldir is CG, he would never suggest to simply kill an unarmed guard. My bad, I was not paying enough attention. Hope you do not mind Haraldir's IC rambling this time :-)

Remembering his last adventure, Harladir shudders involunterily: "Eerm, I'd stay away from the water, if possible. I...I think Caradeum proposed some...alternative ways he could use to open the warehouse doors, right?"

"While we're on the subject - anyone needs this battleaxe? Seems like a nice weapon, I'd hate to toss it in the water. Do we tie this guard with rope or...?"

Seeing that paladin is taking care of fallen guards injuries, Haraldir decides to "help out" and search the unconcious body. Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Cursing silently under his breath, Haraldir loosens his light mace and closes the distance between him and the guard in a few quick steps. He swings at the guard, trying to hit him with weapon's foremost point, hoping just to daze him, and not kill him.

Mace attack: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 6 - 4 = 14 -4 because he is trying to deal nonlethal damage
Nonlethal damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Charm Person sounds better at this time Caradeum, at least for me

Lost in a flurry of words coming from Zandibus, Haraldir does not even have the time to properly say "What about...", but the gnome is already well on his way towards the guard. Ranger quickly decides not to shout behind him and attract (more?) unwanted attention. Shrugging his shoulders he follows Owyn's suite and walks behind the paladin and elven wizard. While marching he takes his time to take a more detailed look at the building, this time from up close.

Still a bit unnerved at the sight of a huge creature ridden by the small gnome, Haraldir follows suite and leaves with his comrades, but not prior to making sure that Tyros will inform the authorities to arrest the two subdued guards, as well as to send an intermediate status report to Venture Captain Adril Hestram.

While walking he addresses his comrades: "So, a warehouse across from the The Rosy Fingers Tavern is where Bengeirr might be found. Do you think it might be wise for one of us to go and try to scout ahead, prior of all of us...trampling in?!"

Not really knowledgeable around magical doorways, Haraldir invites Caradeum: "Can you please take a look at this tapestry? Can you learn something of that doorway? If not, let us bring these two to the authorities, notify the Pathfinder Society of the whereabouts and current status of Skelg, and then let us be off to the western docks, to find this Bengeirr. He must know how to lift this terrible curse."

"So you believe that his health is in a way tied to the curse of that magical lantern? And if I followed your story, you trust that the lantern should be returned to the ship...or here? If so, where do we start - how do we locate or find clues to the whereabouts of either the lantern or the ship?"

Trying to find the best position as to not to endanger Zandibus with a potential shot, and yet to cover the door/entrance completely, Haraldir stands aside, several meters at the back. he had his bow and arrow ready, but not pointed at the door...yet. So far they did not spill any blood, and ranger would like it to continue that way. He awaits patiently for any reply to gnome's knocking.

Standing behind aasimar paladin, Haraldir takes special attention in noticing the small involuntary twitches, changes in voice level, hand jerking or diverting of the eyes which should help him determine the truthfulness of their answers.

Not expecting such outstanding success from the pompous gnome, ranger finds himself at a loss of words for a moment. "Why...why, this was...very formidable. Bravo Zandibus, I did not expect such craftsmanship on your part. Kudos, my friend!"

With that, Haraldir approaches closer guard (guard B) and starts to tie him up.

Similar to Owyn, I'd still keep all my actions - only change (if possible) is to make a diagonal 5-ft. step back-left, so I end up directly in front of Zandibus, who can then take a 5-ft. step...you get the idea

Similar to Owyn, Haraldir is very reluctant to shoot first, at least before the guards really do something aggressive. For the moment he just steps back, aiming his bow at the left one, and making space asked by Caradeum and Zandibus.

"I can only guess that rude behaviour like this is acceptable in the North, but here in Absalom, we adjust our attitude a bit, or get a slap on the nose. Now, either you show us in to see Skelg, or..." - ranger lets the end of his sentance hangs on purpose, hoping that will be enough to convince the guards.

Seeing Caradeum purchase of scrolls while moving towards Ivy district, Haraldir quips: "So, you're convinced that we'll have to go North in order to find cure for Skelg's cure, eh?"

Unsure as to where this conversation is leading, Haraldir chooses to interject: "Erm, I'm not sure what's all this talk of cold weather? It's rather nice in Absalom this time of the year, and from what I got so far from VC is that we should visit this Skelg guy and then see what's next. Or am I mistakin'?"

Haraldir glances towards Owynn, a quizzical look written across his face. He simply shrug his shoulders, grips his bow harder and with a murmured salute leaves the room. However, the site in front is even more...disturbing.

"...is that...an oliphant?"

Hearing talk about the curse and the artifact, Haraldir shivers visibly. He did not feel comfortable dealing with arcane items, especially cursed ones.

"Is there any additional information about that artifact? Do we know it's name, function, relation to the curse, any legends or half-truths connected to it?"

Clad in typical outdoors clothes, Haraldir strides into the room. He wore a drab and thick linen shirt, pants which were once blue, obviously of very sturdy make, an undetermined light green piece of clothing which resembled overcoat, and a heavy brown cloak, patched in several places was casually slung over his shoulder. Each and every piece of clothing had at least one, if not several pockets, and it was obvious that some of these were stuffed with minor items. He carried a large rucksack in his left hand, filled to the brim, a quiver with dozens of arrows was firmly tied upon his left thigh and he carried what might be considered a very large bow.

Surveying quickly the three persons already present, ranger decides to approach the tall elf. "If I'm not mistaken you're Caradeum, right? Ezrek's cousin or friend, if I'm not mistaken'? Glad to meet you."
He turns towards the others as well, before introducing himself: "Haraldir, at your service. An expert (of a kind) in the wilds, a guide for several previous Pathfinder expeditions. As I said - glad to meet ya' all."

Skills done also. I believe that the character is fully done now, outside some potential minor gear (equipment) changes. But since I do not have enough money or PP, I do not think I'll be buying a lot.
