The warrior moves back to where he dropped his longsword, setting himself in the path of what the likeliest approach to the party would be. He hoped that Cerin's eagle would finish off the infernal shapeshifter, but he would make the goblins pay dearly to get at his friends if they decided to swarm the area.

As the vulture rapidly flies away, Halvor takes as careful an aim as he can, then lets loose with his crossbow, hoping for a lucky hit. He shrugs, setting the device back in its normal place. He prepared to go retrieve his longsword and get ready for the inevitable rally from the island. Light Crossbow, Range: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 3 - 2 = 13

Halvor rushes towards the beach with the others dropping his longsword and tugging out his crossbow, only to come to the same quick conclusion that surprise had likely been lost. Still, he winds the crank on the crossbow and sets a bolt in place. One of them might manage a lucky shot before the vulture-goblin thing made it back to warn its fellows. Pressing the attack against the enraged feline, Halvor again strikes at the panther, hoping he can put the creature down before it can attack another of his comrades. Longsword: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Halvor sighs in relief as he feels his wounds knitting together, but his momentary slip is all the cat needed to again pierce his defenses, undoing all that Helena had fixed (literally). Growling, Halvor sets his feet and swings mightily at the wily feline, trying to better judge its movements. Longsword: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
I'll take another almost hit, sir. With a side of claw damage.

Halvor cries out in pain as a claw blasts through his defenses, raking across his flesh. Getting his shield back in place, he sidesteps, putting himself between the panther and Helena. Getting a measure of his opponent, he then thrusts forward suddenly, hoping to catch the beast off balance. Longsword: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

Halvor eye's widen as the cat comes pouncing out at Kyrian, putting the man in poor condition. He lumbers forward, his longsword over his head as he brings it down at the cat, seeking to draw its attention away from his less armored companions. Longsword, PA: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (4) + 8 - 1 = 11

Hearing Kyrian's curse, Halvor tries to finish off the final goblin in the area, bringing his weapon across in a wicked backslash. Longsword: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (14) + 8 - 1 = 21
He then starts to lumbers towards Kyrian and the strange goblin with the fire in its hand.

Halvor, finally having made it within melee range of the archers, viciously chops down with his glowing blade, grunting with the effort, the burning in his leg causing even more pained fury to power his blow. Longsword, PA: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 8 - 1 = 26

After Gwyn's magical assault, the warrior quietly tugs on Helena's arm, pulling her toward the ruckus. "This way." He leaves her by Kyrian, continuing forward with his blade brandished, stepping up to make himself a tempting target to as many goblins as possible. Will double move, getting in the middle of everything.

Not knowing what else to do, Halvor follows behind Cerin at a distance, not wanting to give away the more quiet gnome. He makes certain to keep Helena between them, not wanting an enemy to come up behind them and attack her. His longsword is drawn and ready, his stress levels high as he walked a tightrope of excitement. There were potentially dozens of enemies here, all could be mere feet away. The warrior's blood started to rush in his ears, his adrenaline pumping as the fight-or-flight hormones in his body started flooding out.

"Sorry!" He whispers back to the oracle, wondering if the cloudiness of her eyes caused her any vision problems. "Oh! Ok." The warrior replies sheepishly to Cerin, his eagerness to bring battle to the residents her causing him to act foolishly. He holds off, waiting to see if Cerin can spot the other members of their party so they can go together in a united front.

As with Helena, Halvor remains behind, his bulky armor plates not much suited for reconnaissance. He does nothing to alleviate the awkwardness with the young woman, alternating between woeful attempts at looking ahead of them and painfully indiscrete glances at the pretty young woman. The warrior blows out a sigh of relief as Cerin rushes back, grateful for a break in the peaceful, agonizing interlude. He nods, leading the way with his longsword, hoping that Gwyn and Kyrian don't get themselves in too much trouble.
Male Human Fighter 2; Init +1, Per +1; AC 21/12/19; HP 14/22 F+5, R+1, W+2 (+3 vs Fear)
Halvor cleans his sword, taking little satisfaction from killing the two goblins. He does smiles at Cerin though, as keeping the creeps from crying out had certainly kept their element of surprise. Hearing Gwyn's words, the warrior nods, waiting for someone with better observation skills to look around before he proceeds through the door, deeper into the thicket and the lair of the goblins.

Halvor rushes towards the surprised creatures, having to slip around Kyrian to do so. Surprise Round, move up. Once there, he takes his sickly green-glowing longsword and slashes it across at the near goblin, hoping to end the fight quickly before the goblins can make a lot of racket. Longsword, PA: 1d20 + 8 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 8 - 1 = 18
If that drops the creature, Halvor steps up 5 ft to threaten the other one.

The warrior's eyes widen as he spies his friend just slip through the barrier of brambles. Now it was just a waiting game and they had to trust Cerin would manage to get back to them. Halvor stood a silent vigil a few feet from the wall of thorns, sword out, ready to start hacking at the thick growth if needed.

Halvor accepts the extra items from Cerin with a shrug. They each had their abilities they brought to the table. For the burly fighter, it was swinging a sword and carrying lots of things. As they approach what appears to be the coast, Halvor starts looking for their destination, only to find his view hampered by the hedge of briars. Appearing complete, the warrior wondered if they would have to backtrack and hug the coast to make it to Thistletop. Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Halvor breathes heavily after the close call with the plant monster, smiling gratefully as Helena's divine magics spread throughout his body, easing the pains of the bruises the creature inflicted upon him. Of course, he then flushes as she looks at him, turning his head quickly. He accepts the berries from Cerin dutifully, fully trusting in his gnomish companion at this point. He eats a few of them, nodding his head to indicate that the fruit is indeed quite tasty. "Should we carry on, then? I mean, was this just something that happened to be in the way, or an advance guardian of some kind?"
Male Human Fighter 2; Init +1, Per +1; AC 21/12/19; HP 14/22 F+5, R+1, W+2 (+3 vs Fear)
Breathing heavily and listening to the words of the strange wizardess, Halvor gets on the opposite side of the plant, then lines up a vicious strike, knowing that Cerin was in big trouble. Longsword, Flank: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 2 = 13

Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 Gritting his teeth as the writhing vines attempt to ensnare him, Halvor stumbles and forces his way forward to the plant-thing that just attacked Cerin, drawing back his sword before sending it swiping downward in a powerful arc. Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 Halvor bumbles and crashes through the woods, utterly distracted by both the women he is accompanying and the plethora of colorful imagery the Nettlewood has to offer. The warrior takes a moment to be thankful that most of his short time of mercenary work was done on rather nondescript roads, as he appeared ill-suited for anything that was vibrant.

Halvor decides to save his money. He had a couple of very nice weapons, but could probably use an armor upgrade before too long. He felt confident enough in what he was in to take on some goblins, though. Ready to go, when everyone else is. We gonna rest for the night and go at first light, or now?
Male Human Fighter 2; Init +1, Per +1; AC 21/12/19; HP 14/22 F+5, R+1, W+2 (+3 vs Fear)
Halvor nods his agreement, smiling at the thought of the wily gnome waving about a flaming scimitar. "More armor would have been nice...but the best defense is a good offense." The warrior grins at Kyrian, "Indeed! Though we are likely going to give those little brutes plenty of opportunities."
Male Human Fighter 2; Init +1, Per +1; AC 21/12/19; HP 14/22 F+5, R+1, W+2 (+3 vs Fear)
Thinking long game here, I am inclined to agree with Haladir. While Cerin getting the +1 Flaming Scimitar would be a disproportionate amount of wealth in one PC's hands, it increases our overall party wealth by 3,000 gp (more if the mithril shirt is in play). Cerin will have a weapon that will last him for several levels, and thus won't need any weaponry from any future loot for quite some time. And if it turns out we are getting stomped without having it, we can sell it in the future and we'll have only lost about 1,000 gp (not even that, with the mithril shirt in play). Anyway, that's my two cents on the matter. If the majority would still like to split things evenly, that's fine, as well.
Male Human Fighter 2; Init +1, Per +1; AC 21/12/19; HP 14/22 F+5, R+1, W+2 (+3 vs Fear)
As far as the flaming +1 scimitar, from a loot perspective I would say that if Cerin truly wanted it, we should make the trade. It cuts down on cuts of treasure for the rest of us, but Cerin gets a really nice weapon that will last him for many levels, and we basically get it at a 50% discount.
Male Human Fighter 2; Init +1, Per +1; AC 21/12/19; HP 14/22 F+5, R+1, W+2 (+3 vs Fear)
Halvor finds himself nodding along with Cerin's words, both about finding items that he'd like to purchase in the shop, and about the two ladies joining them. He smiles shyly at the two women, letting the gnome speak for him, not trusting himself not to stammer over his words.
Male Human Fighter 2; Init +1, Per +1; AC 21/12/19; HP 14/22 F+5, R+1, W+2 (+3 vs Fear)
Halvor's eyes light up at the flaming scimitar, but ultimately he looks disappointed. He already had the finally crafted ranseur for reach, and the magical longsword, which was a weapon he was well-trained in. The scimitar seemed awesome, but not enough to purchase it. As the woman collects their coin, the warrior looks at the growing pile of gold with a sigh. "I've never seen so much gold at one time. It would take my parents a trio of lifetimes to earn this. He shakes his head, pocketing his portion, trusting Cerin to give him the correct amount. [b]"Perhaps we can all go in on a stick of curing or something?"

Halvor stays behind the others with Kyrian, trying to keep his thoughts on the potential wares he might find at Savah's. Though such things truly did interest him, the two ladies in front of him were much more interesting and new, at the moment. He listened to their banter, a small smile on his lips. As they reach Savah's, he takes a look around at the collection, his eyes lingering on the finely made breastplate. Not being good with figures, he turns to Cerin. "Hey Cerin, do you reckon I might have enough for that?"

Halvor didn't know much of anything about what Lynnda had done before they met up with her...but in the brief time they had traveled together, she had seemed a stalwart companion, brave, a pleasant companion. If these posters were truly her, then she was a changed person since that time. The warrior ponderously shrugs, "She helped out when it was needed. And then helped some more when it was only asked for. If that is her, then perhaps she performed enough rights to cover up her wrongs. Anyways, I shall not help them find her. Let us go to the Dragon!"

Halvor remains silent throughout the Judge's questioning, knowing that his inability to lie well would only land them in a pickle if he denied knowing anything about the 'Lost Coast Witch'. Instead he nods grimly, following Cerin out the door. Once they get outside, he blows out a sigh of relief, then grins mischievously to the gnome. "Aye, a bit of lunch would be great before we permanently solve the goblin problem this town seems to have."
Male Human Fighter 2; Init +1, Per +1; AC 21/12/19; HP 14/22 F+5, R+1, W+2 (+3 vs Fear)
The warrior glances back at the elven woman. "I'll try not to be such poor sport for you, next time." He offers another shy smile before heading in after being herded by Zandu. Halvor will follow Cerin's lead, but will tell the story straight, with no embellishments and will offer up any details that he knows of in full, damning or complimentary.
Male Human Fighter 2; Init +1, Per +1; AC 21/12/19; HP 14/22 F+5, R+1, W+2 (+3 vs Fear)
The warrior stops, giving Gwyn the panicked rabbit look. A look of suspicion crosses his features, particularly at the offer to buy alcohol. He finally nods, a bit confusedly. "It's ok. I'm a bit thick sometimes...I take everything people say as being serious. Ummmm...not that I wouldn't be flattered to...well, you know. Anyway, apology accepted. We can drink together later, sure. Sounds like fun." He offers the wizardess a shy smile, then continues inside.
Male Human Fighter 2; Init +1, Per +1; AC 21/12/19; HP 14/22 F+5, R+1, W+2 (+3 vs Fear)
Halvor's face burns so red it could be classified as purple as the elven enchantress goes 'there'. "That's awful kind of you...but I don't think I'm the sharing sort. With more than one person, I mean. Two seems like a perfect number for bedtime. I don't particularly care for odd numbers, and three is certainly odd, ya know? Ummmm...I'll think about it?" Thoroughly flustered, the warrior tries to quick step away from both Kyrian and Gwyn, muttering something about seeing the Sheriff.
Male Human Fighter 2; Init +1, Per +1; AC 21/12/19; HP 14/22 F+5, R+1, W+2 (+3 vs Fear)
Halvor grins sheepishly at Cerin's good-natured ribbing, then smiles gratefully at Gwyn. "I would appreciate that." When they arrive at the Garrison, the warrior nods along with Cerin & Kyrian's words. "Yes, Miss Ameiko puts on the best spread in town, and knows how to treat her friends. This business with Ironbriar is kind of about her family, actually. Give us a few to get done here, then we can get you to the Rusty Dragon, get a meal in you, and get you into bed." "Into your own bed. Alone. Of course." The warrior bites his lip for a moment, then quickly turns and rumbles into the building, clanking the whole way.
Male Human Fighter 2; Init +1, Per +1; AC 21/12/19; HP 14/22 F+5, R+1, W+2 (+3 vs Fear)
After Gwyn's comment, the warrior turns an ugly shade of crimson. His mouth opens several times as though he is about to say something, only to think better of it. Finally, he attempts to make a joke out of it. "Are you sure? That's too bad..." He immediately regrets it, turning even more red, if possible. Halvor gives Kyrian a grateful smile for his help, relaxing somewhat. Turning back to Gwyn, he speaks more steadily this time. "She, and you, for that matter, remind me of a couple of companions we recently parted ways with. Just an odd coincidence." He conveniently leaves out the fact that the woman was rather easy on the eyes, which made the looking all the more enticing.
