M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Polo.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Anyone have any other opinions about the teleporting? People still around?

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Personally I'm of the mind to have us teleport there. That being said, I have the extra funds to purchase or rent a horse when we get there so I'm fine if people want to ride the whole way to save money.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

I'm fine with whatever. All that matters is we get the job done.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

2 MW Sawtooth sabres (670gp)
+1 Chainshirt (1,250gp)
owed 150gp for remove disease

Leaves me with 790gp, 14sp, 9cp. Might still by a few small things here and there but those were the big ones.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan shrugs non-commitally. I agree with Marc, the church can more than handle its own business for now. Grinning he picks up one of the letters. And I notice you all are quickly glossing over the bird people. Bird People! I can't be the only one who wants to see what exactly that job entails.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan grins happily as the coins are passed forward. Hefting their weight with a nod, he waits to see if anyone has a suggestion for an appropriate team name.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Your math looks good to me. I'll add 2768.75gp to my character sheet and shop from there.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Having dealt with the stuff enough, Hafdan will pay for the Remove Disease. At the lowest casting level, it will cost 150gp. I know we still need to divide up the loot and sell stuff and such so I'm going to have this done and deduct the amount I owe from my eventual share of the loot.

That being the case, given the 2 week travel time my Con damage should be healed and I'm back to normal. Also, I've finished leveling to 4 and should be ready to go.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

We would have certainly improved its lot a bit if we had, that's for sure. Hafdan says with a grin. But no, killed the big bad, rescued the damsel, and cured the plague. All in a days work I guess.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

I second that. This kind of job makes you miss the simple comforts.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

I'm up for whatever but the hope is that we've taken care of what's been driving the vermin out. I don't particularly relish the idea of trying to permanently rid the woods of goblinoids otherwise we'd be out here for centuries.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

FYI, Hafdan has been using the +1 shortsword we found but I will be giving that back to the party loot pile for either sale or Redistribution. I'm hoping to buy 2 exotic weapons based on my build and while I will miss having a magic blade it fits more with the theme. So we'll have a +1 weapon to add to the calculations as well.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Leveling up Hafdan and figuring out shopping etc and I've got a few questions.

- How should I handle the zombie rot stuff? Should I make a series of rolls simulating days of time till I either kick it or die? Can I pay to have it cured?
- Once we divide up the loot, now that I have the feat, I'd like to purchase Sawtooth Sabre's. Will I just be able to do this or will there be RP involved or something? Want to find out my options.

Rolling for HP
1d8 ⇒ 3

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Sounds good to me.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

I have myself listed at 8700. I must have missed something then. I hope it's 9000 cause that's level 4 baby.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

I know what I want to buy. A friggin' wand of cure disease!

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Slime and guts dripping from him, Hafdan simply sits down where he is. That's it, I'm done.

Fort save: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9
DAMMIT!!!!!!!

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Round 2 Initiative: 4(+3), AC: 16, HP: 16/18

Hafdan presses the attack, blades flashing in movement. One of his blades catches deep, severing tendons and muscle, bones snapping loudly.

Full attack.
Primary Attack (magic sword): 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 1 = 24 (26 with flanking), Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 1 = 7 + (sneak attack 2d6 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7)
Secondary Attack (regular sword): 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 1 = 16 (18 with flanking), Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7 + (sneak attack 2d6 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6)

Primary Attack crit confirm (magic sword): 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 1 = 25 (27 with flanking), Bonus Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 = 10

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan steps quickly back as the liquid splashes the floor. As the floor rumbles and cracks apart he holds his swords at the ready. Of course.

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
I know I was somewhat near the pedestal when this happened, so assuming a move action to get into melee, trying to angle to get into flanking with Marc, Lucius or Raven.
Standard attack (magic blade) vs zombie: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 (15 with flanking), Damame: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 + (sneak attack 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8)

Oh yeah and HUZZAH NO MORE ZOMBIE ROT!!!

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan runs his hands quickly over himself. Good gods I actually managed to avoid injury this time.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Round 4

Hafdan slowly slides his was through the darkness, trying to find an edge to it.

Move action to try to get out of the globe, plus readied action to attack anything that attacks him.

I had given the little guy up for fled, sorry bout the lack of post.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Round 3. Initiative: 10(+3), AC: 16, HP: 16/18

Hafdan silently waits, trying to sense some kind of movement that will gave away the ragged creature.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Ready action to attack anything that attempts to attack me.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan's Round 2 action would be the same although now it probably has a miss chance I would imagine. Gonna assume the secondary attack was a miss with a 4, so here's percentile for the Primary that hit a 19 (21 with flanking).
50% miss chance, high is good: 1d100 ⇒ 94

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan moves up through the wind, the breeze ruffling his clothes but sliding off the swords in his hands. Well that was nice.

Round 1 Initiative: 10(+3), AC: 16, HP: 16/18
Move action to get up to the caster
Attack w/ magical sword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11, Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Round 2 Initiative: 10(+3), AC: 16, HP: 16/18
5 foot step to get into flanking with Marc against the caster
Primary attack w/ magical sword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19, Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 + (sneak attack 2d6 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5)
Secondary attack w/ non-magical sword: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4, Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 + (sneak attack 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8)

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Disable Device part 2: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Sorry, holidays were crazy for me but back to work and posting regularly now.

Disable Device on the doors for traps/locks: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Round 1 Initiative: 13 (+3), AC: 16, HP: 16/18

Hafdan grimaces as the creature lurches forward. That's an ugly summab%&!+ there.

Init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Move action to move up next to Marc, drawing swords.
Ready action to attack something that comes into melee.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Non-door based Perception check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Disable Device for traps/locks on the doors: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan holds out a strip of cloth while fastening a rope to his midsection. Would one of you mind giving me a little light? He hands the other end of the rope to Marc. Try not to get butter fingers while my life is in your hands.

Tying the cloth to his wrist he will slowly begin climbing down the hole, keeping his hands and feet on both the rope ladder and the rungs in the wall.

Assuming I get Light cast on a piece of cloth to be able to see giong down the hole. I'm going to Take 20 the entire length of the ladder/rungs until I reach the bottom looking for traps. I want to make sure the ladder doesn't suddenly fall off or the rungs pop out or any other heinous device the hobgobs might have left.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan eyes the double doors wearily. Any chance you guys want to just bang off and call it a day? Eh, worth a try. Moving forward he begins to gingerly probe the doors and lock.

Take 20 on the doors and lock for traps.
Disable Device on traps/lock: 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 11 + 1 = 22

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Round 2: Init 21, AC 16, HP 16/18, Conditions: Bless, Inspire Courage

Hafdan jumps back, his trained senses on overdrive after that near death in the pit allowing him to avoid the acid entirely. Trying to shut out his other senses, he goes in for the attack.

Relfex save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16, thank God for Evasion!

Full attack on the drake. Don't remember if concealment means I can't get sneak attack or attack bonus from flanking so rolling it anyways and ignore if necessary.
Primary attack(magical): 1d20 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 + 1 = 7 (9 with flanking), Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 1 = 9 + (sneak attack 1d6 ⇒ 5)
Offhand attack(non-magical): 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 24 (26 with flanking), Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 1 = 5 + (sneak attack 1d6 ⇒ 4)

Offhand attack crit confirm: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 10 (12 with flanking), Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 = 8 + (sneak attack 1d6 ⇒ 3)

Primary miss chance (high is good): 1d100 ⇒ 91
Offhand miss chance (high is good): 1d100 ⇒ 36
Offhand crit confirm miss chance (high is good): 1d100 ⇒ 90

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Round 1 Initiative: 21(+3), AC: 16, HP: 16/18, Conditions: None

Hafdan grimaces as he draws his swords, glancing at Marc as he follows him in. Alright, that's it. This op has been one cock-up after another. A dragon now of all things?! We need better damn intel.

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Seeing Marc move in, Hafdan will attempt to move into flanking with him.
Single Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 (9 with flanking, using magical sword), Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 (+ sneak attack 1d6 ⇒ 1)

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan flexes his arm, feeling the skin stitch back together. He nods his thanks towards Raven. I'll make sure to give him my regards when I see him.

16/18 HP

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hmm? Oh never mind, saw it in a play once I think. Take enough knocks on the head and it starts to show I guess. Hafdan chuckles dryly and then proceeds to scan the whole room.

Alright, taking 20 on a path up to the doors, then on the doors, and then starting on the walls at that point. Even if it takes hours.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

With Marc's help Hafdan pulls himself out of the pit. His leg is scored with a nasty cut but the worst seems to be the hole straight through his left bicep, torn flesh and broken bone sticking out. Its a wonder he hasn't passed out from the blood loss alone.

That's it, I say we pull out. Nuke the site from orbit. His words don't seem to make any sense and he's swaying on his feet a little but otherwise he's still in one piece.

Figured a crit was worth a crippled limb at this point. Pit's only 10ft deep based on the damage so if you rest on the edge and I jump, should be no problem and if not, a rope will be easy enough. Climb and Jump checks just in case.
Climb: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan tumbles down the pit with a yell and loud but squishy thud. A string of curses a few of which seem new emanate from the bottom. Gods damn it all, I am sick of these f*@&ing pits. I am going to wring every last one of these little pests necks if its the last thing I do.

Reflex save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

This of course assumes I survive the fall.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan flashes a grin as he moves forward. I live to serve the cause. Sweeping the floor with his eyes, Hafdan moves to the other set of doors.

Perception check for rest of the room (traps on the floor, baddies in hiding, etc) before heading to the doors. 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13.

Assuming nothing gets him in the interim, Hafdan will use SOP at this point, taking 20 on the door (DC 28) and then attempting to disarm any traps/locks present, Disable Device 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan steps aside with a flourish of his hand. Who'd like to be first into the creepy tomb?

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan will check the door for traps and take care of any locks or traps found.

Take 20 searching for traps, hits a DC 28.
Disable Device for traps/locks found: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan stretches slowly, clutching his side. A sudden racking cough doubles him over and it takes a moment for his breath to return. Spots of blood splatter the ground at his feet. Grinning weakly at Marc he shrugs. Must have been something I ate.

DC 12 Fort save: 1d20 ⇒ 7
1d2 ⇒ 2

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

I can barely avoid tasting my own boot with this crowd. Best I try to avoid pressing my luck with the frightened villagers.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Probably sound advice, that. Hafdan picks up the sword and gives it an experimental swing. before sheathing it. He tosses one of his old blades into the pile. Help yourselves, if anyone wants it.

Yeah I'll drop one of my normal swords into the "party loot pile". Updated stats accordingly.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Hafdan clutches his ribs as he eyes the loot piling up in front of Marc. Wouldn't mind getting my hands on that short sword if people don't object.

After combat and with leveling, current HP: 9/21.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

3rd level hit points: 1d8 ⇒ 5

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Round 4 Initiative: 14, AC:18 (16 normally), HP: 4/16

Seeing Marc move in, Hafdan grinned wickedly at the 2 hobgoblins who were now sandwiched as he was.

Hafdan will full attack on the defensive again. Given that the hobgoblins were flanking me, I should now have flanking against both of them, 1 with Marc and 1 with Raven and will attack them separately.
Hobgoblin flanked with Marc: 1d20 ⇒ 16, Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 + (sneak attack 1d6 ⇒ 1)
Hobgoblin flanked with Raven: 1d20 ⇒ 14, Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 + (sneak attack 1d6 ⇒ 3)

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Round 3 Initiative: 14, AC:18 (16 normally), HP: 4/16

Seeing Raven and Marc move in, Hafdan will lash out with his swords, his head on a swivel trying to keep both hobgoblins in view.

Hafdan will full attack on the defensive. -4 to all attacks for a +2 to AC. With Flanking, the penalties and everything else, it should cancel out all the bonuses and leave it a flat d20 roll for the attacks.
Primary: 1d20 ⇒ 19, Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 + (sneak attack 1d6 ⇒ 4)
Off-hand: 1d20 ⇒ 1, Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 + (sneak attack 1d6 ⇒ 6)

Crit confirm 1st attack: 1d20 ⇒ 5, Bonus damamge: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

Round 2 Initiative: 14, AC:20 (16 normally), HP: 4/16

Hafdan grins through bloody teeth, spitting a glob of bloody phlegm into one of the hobgoblin's faces. I'll see you burn in the pits, maggot. In Infernal.

Hafdan will take the Full Defense action on his turn, bumping his AC to 20 until his next turn.

M Human (Chelaxian) Rogue 4

So the latest xp bump puts us into 3rd level. Should we plan on leveling the next time we're resting for the night?
