They had one and they broke it.... silly Hoomans. And then they made a new one, bigger and better-er than the old model. You must mean our Lord Asmodeus of course.
Yoon, Iconic Kineticist wrote: captain yesterday wrote: Do you miss your long lost sibling Noodles:-D I'm an only child, and Noodles is not a Hwan name...what do you mean? Is this because Tian food has noodles in it so you think all Tian people are noodles? I've heard that all Avistani people do things like that, where they say all Tian people are one way, even though there's so many different kinds of people in Tian Xia, like Tian-Min and Tian-Hwan and so many more; even kitsune! It's mostly the Taldans. They can't help themselves... but even the best of them will give you the urge to push them off a window sill sometimes.
AlgaeNymph wrote: Yoon, Iconic Kineticist wrote: Oh, and also, in Avistan, when you offer someone a gift, they just take it. Rude much? How is accepting a gift rude? In Yoon's culture gift giving is expected to be reciprocated, if I recall properly. Those looking to engage in commerce there should be prepared to engage in much of that practice.

captain yesterday wrote: Stay classy Pathfinder Society, don't own slaves like an a*+#&#* piece of s*#@.
If you want to expand pathfinder society b~&@$%&@ like this isn't the way to do it, I know I wouldn't play at a table with another character that insists on owning slaves. I know the setting has it, it's historical, blah, blah, blah, whatever, doesn't matter pathfinder leadership needs to abolish this s&~&, and quick.
Ain't going to happen. The Society has too much invested in it's own chattel labor.
Rhedyn wrote: What makes us people is not our biological flaws. The shackles we were born with are not holy nor sacred. "All things must end!" is a shout of surrender.
So there is no need for that detect evil spell, I am one of those good liches!
Our flaws are fundamental part of what makes us what we are.
Good lich indeed! Anyone who falls for that, I've got a temple in Absalom to sell them.
Any musclebound or spellcrazy idiot can combat a dragon. I was once given a mission by the ParaCountess to talk smack to one.

I am Dranik Dwin'tryn, a rogue within the scarab sages, i have much interest in lore and lost ledgends ::speaks in ancient azlanti complimenting your eyes:: i would love to get to know you better. would i be able to meet with you more in private that we might better get to know each other? I do. Magnimar. Best city in the Inner Sea Region AND BEYOND!
Have you secured a permanent residence there? I'm thinking of purchasing a second manorhouse there, what district would you recommend? I'd prefer a location with a good view.

My spells, my summons, my Eidolon, and my fellow party members exist so that I need not sully my hands with the vulgarities of combat.

** spoiler omitted **
That's the Battle Interactive, yes? Yeah. It's such an elegant example.
The Aspis doesn't stop what they're doing, just because an army of demons is laying siege to a town of innocents. The Pathfinder Society calls off their banquet and fights. They weren't just "not stopping what they were doing", they were taking advantage of the attack to rob and pillage. Not exactly "Good Guy" behavior, even by my Chelaxian standards.
Merisiel Sillvari wrote: Valtane Beastblade wrote: What is the dumbest thing you have ever done? Reveal to the internet that I was afraid of [REDACTED].
That, or try to pickpocket the merchant prince who was really a veiled master back in Almas. THAT caused a chain reaction of unfortunate events! I'll get even with Andoran SOME DAY, mark my words! That would only apply if you had reason to believe he was a veiled Master.
Or maybe the real mistake was in taking the advice or a plan from an Andoran, which nearly got me killed as well.
And they dare call us evil.
Merisiel Sillvari wrote:
And frankly, Asmodeus and his church DOES try to hide their evil. And generally does a good job at it.
If you had to choose between the two to live in, would it be Cheliax or Galt?
Mikaze wrote: Quick correction: Outsiders are very much people.
There are two kinds of beings in the world, at least only two relevant kinds. Chessmasters and Pawns. It is the destiny of pawns to be placed on a board and moved by Chessmasters. Although many who see themselves as chess masters are themselves pawns of a greater master.
There are those who say that enslaving nonhuman outsiders is some kind of wrong. I'm sure that they would also agree that killing is wrong. I would argue then that if absolute morality is one's goal, then they should immediately start starving to death as even plants are considered by many to have lives of their own.
And thus we come to the self defeating folly of those who look for absolute morality. There is only the Game we must all play. If there is a moral end to be sought it would be to make that Game as fair as one can.

Alternately, you could consider veneration of Apsu. He's not too pushy, and he doesn't mind if you feel weirdly compelled to sleep on your share of the party loot now and then.
He also doesn't give two scales about you if you're not a Dragon. Asmodeous however believes that there is a place for everyone and everyone in their place.

I know nothing of you. However, if your heart is true and good, and you follow the tenets written in The Birth of Light and Truth, then there is always hope that our destinies may one day cross.
Do you consider being an assassin and partially undead(father was a vampire...very long story) having a good heart?
Do you like my neckless? *shows kyra the neckless of tongues* its made of keepsakes from all my victims so they don't die in vain and will always be remembered. I suggest you stay over 30 feet away from me then..... Is the reach of your Goddess that short? Perhaps you should switch sides... when it comes to upholding the Law the reach of Asmodeus knows no limits. And we're not nearly as bloodthirsty as the average Andoran.

As for becoming canonized, I believe being permanently deceased is a prerequisite, am I correct? That sounds like a rather dreadful requirement.
You're taking a dreadfully shortsighted view of things my Lady. As of now, there are several personages in whom I've taken an interest in accelerating their beatification. Golarion will be considerably better off when that's done.

More likely this spam is the work of Andoran Anarchists with their historic disregard for rules, boundaries, or good taste.

Guardsmen! Another Chelish sympathiser for the Final Blade!
Valeria Wintrish wrote: I'll echo a lot of what's been said here. I'll add too that even in the Cheliax faction, I was never called on to do anything that outright violated my code as a paladin of Iomedae or Hellknight of the Order of the Nail. That being said, faction missions during every mission have been phased out, and for season 5 I am very leery of the Paracountess's intentions with the valiant defenders of Nerosyan.
My dear sir, you can rest assured that the paracountess wouldn't dream of of endangering your chances of ultimately containing that demonic nastiness. And when all is settled and done, you'll understand that we both want the same thing... Order in a chaotic world, imposed by whatever means neccessary.
The Game has taken on some interesting turns of late. I have a feeling that some very interesting Trumps will be played soon and I look forward to watching the cards you shall play. I have full confidence that we have yet to see the full depth of your gamesmanship.
Your loyal playing piece,

Sagotel wrote: I hear rumors that a Hellknight has met recently with a group of Andorens. We should be vigilant. Andorans... they sell themselves to others as freedom fighters. I ventured out in the desert with an Andoran Pathfinder out on his crusade. He liberated a slave all right... by going up to his owner without preamble and striking him down in cold blooded murder. Without making even an attempt to negotiate a purchase. Or even doing the courtesy of facing him, instead just striking him from behind. If I weren't sworn to act against a fellow Pathfinder I might have turned him in to lawful justice.
And they call us evil.
Typical Andoran... They don't have stomach for honest work, only for various acts of skuldggery and malfeasance against the proper order
Adelle Henderthane wrote: BigNorseWolf wrote: The ARG has the training harness under the human section for 10gp. Ohh... sounds like something the Paracountess would be interested in! Asked her if she wanted one once. She replied that I had insulted her when implied that she'd need what she called "A crutch for amateurs."
She then spent the next hour emphasizing her point.
It was worth it though.

and makes you a real hit at the Paracountesses parties... Only if you're the first person who shows up with this gimmick. She's barbedly wicked when it comes to copycats.
... So exits yet another player from the Game.
Or is this yet another case of the "One who protesteth a bit much?". Only a simpleton would consider the Society anything but a means to power.
The Decembivirate sees us all as it's tools... as it properly should. Only a naive child would expect any different, or a Pathfinder so blind that he won't survive his second day in the field.
The real challenge is to make them your tools in turn, by playing their game better than they do.
More than likely I think, this is merely a facade, a cover story for someone entering the deep game. Perhaps someday I will see. Personally I think he overplayed the idealistic angle too much.
Everyone in the Society here comes with it to their own agenda. The "Helping Others" facade is an interesting one to employ, but harder to carry off, for what fool believes in the well intent of others?

Not at all. Using poison is not evil. It certainly makes some evil deeds EASIER... but there's plenty of examples of good guys (guardian nagas, couatls) using poison. Just as you can do evil with a knife or a pillow or a spell. Doesn't mean pillows are evil.
Unfortunately, my fellows in the Pathfinder Society aren't so open-minded about one's choice of tools.
