I'm willing to continue but wanted others to take the lead for a bit otherwise we would have fallen of a 20 fooy cliff and smashed the monster to soften the fall.

I can use a new toothpick but I want to check if there is anything else to smash in this cave

just so you know I think that the big baddy might have something that gives a set bonus.

Male Half-Orc Barbarian/1 HP: 14/18 AC: 15 | T:10, | FF: 13 | CMB: +8 | CMD: 18 | F: +5, R: +2, W: +2 | Init: +2 | Perc: +4, |Darkvision|rage 10/13 left |+2 on to hit until ending of campaign

alright lets get this party started. I start my turn by going into a rage and I'll try to break free of the grapple

almost forgot the fortitude save for the poison which is a bit higher because of the rage

fortitude: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

cmb: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

If I'm correct then I only need to beat 11 to get free.

now I'm not quit sure what I can do? if possible I'll attack

attack+normal+2 until end of campaign: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 2 = 12

damage: 1d12 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

that should hurt him quit a bit. If I can't attack I want to ready to attack next turn(or when he tries to grapple if possible)

If I can't attack him I'll just try to intimidate it

Grognar no hug Grognar smash

intimidate: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

I don't mind where I'm standing just let me know wheb my turn is up so I can swing my axe at this little bug:P

Male Half-Orc Barbarian/1 HP: 14/18 AC: 15 | T:10, | FF: 13 | CMB: +8 | CMD: 18 | F: +5, R: +2, W: +2 | Init: +2 | Perc: +4, |Darkvision|rage 10/13 left |+2 on to hit until ending of campaign

guess that you need to run to keep up with this crazy orc. I'll post 3 checks in case the first aren't enough
swim: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6
swim: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17
swim: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17

He that's how we do it in the north.

trying to smash the chest at the end do the other in the next turn

smash: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
damage: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

guys more shinies

throwing it up would everyone be in for a continued adventure if the gm consents

Male Half-Orc Barbarian/1 HP: 14/18 AC: 15 | T:10, | FF: 13 | CMB: +8 | CMD: 18 | F: +5, R: +2, W: +2 | Init: +2 | Perc: +4, |Darkvision|rage 10/13 left |+2 on to hit until ending of campaign

Grognar grunts angrily when he hears the bugbear and runs to him swinging his axe wildly.

I go to N48 and attack. I can't charge because I don't have a straight line.

attack+normal rage bonus+inspire: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 6 + 2 + 1 = 22

damage: 1d12 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 1 = 15

I'm guessing that he will be pretty dead after this.If so then I'll end the rage otherwise it will continue.

I don't think Xilanfur gets a -2 since you need a straight uninterrupted line to charge. Luckily the attacks should still hit without the charge bonus.

Male Half-Orc Barbarian/1 HP: 14/18 AC: 15 | T:10, | FF: 13 | CMB: +8 | CMD: 18 | F: +5, R: +2, W: +2 | Init: +2 | Perc: +4, |Darkvision|rage 10/13 left |+2 on to hit until ending of campaign

Grognar gets even madder that the king didn't die he heaves his axe back and screams spitting mad while swinging.

waaaaaaargh

still raging

attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

damage: 1d12 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Male Half-Orc Barbarian/1 HP: 14/18 AC: 15 | T:10, | FF: 13 | CMB: +8 | CMD: 18 | F: +5, R: +2, W: +2 | Init: +2 | Perc: +4, |Darkvision|rage 10/13 left |+2 on to hit until ending of campaign

Grognar shrugs as he feels nice and warm inside.

He looks at the Goblinking and he starts to get angry as soon as he sees that ugly face.

enter rage as free action

please keep in mind that my rage character sheet is incorrect pcgen is a bit wonky in changing the right stats

rage:
Rage (Ex): A barbarian can call upon inner reserves of strength and ferocity, granting her additional combat prowess. Starting at 1st level, a barbarian can rage for a number of rounds per day equal to 4 + her Constitution modifier. At each level after 1st, she can rage for 2 additional rounds. Temporary increases to Constitution, such as those gained from rage and spells like bear's endurance, do not increase the total number of rounds that a barbarian can rage per day. A barbarian can enter rage as a free action. The total number of rounds of rage per day is renewed after resting for 8 hours, although these hours do not need to be consecutive.

While in rage, a barbarian gains a +4 morale bonus to her Strength and Constitution, as well as a +2 morale bonus on Will saves. In addition, she takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class. The increase to Constitution grants the barbarian 2 hit points per Hit Dice, but these disappear when the rage ends and are not lost first like temporary hit points. While in rage, a barbarian cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration.

A barbarian can end her rage as a free action and is fatigued after rage for a number of rounds equal to 2 times the number of rounds spent in the rage. A barbarian cannot enter a new rage while fatigued or exhausted but can otherwise enter rage multiple times during a single encounter or combat. If a barbarian falls unconscious, her rage immediately ends, placing her in peril of death.

He heaves his axe and while shouting he charges at the king

charge from n44 to n42

He swings his axe wildly and...

attack: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 2 = 22
damage: 1d12 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Smashes his axe right in the kings face.

Grognar smiles as he sees the fountain and says:
Don't know about you guys but fighting makes me thirsty.

He walks to the fountain and takes a big gulp.

Ah that tastes great, shall we go and smash some more goblins

Sorry guys as a chaotic oaf I can't not do something like this and still claim that I was in character. On the bright side we will know what the fountain does after this.

If nobody objects I would like to have a shortsword as backup(for under the pillow in night encounters). And the javelins.

I don't trust those goblins I'll watch the cave.

Move from J27 to Y32.

Check if I can see anything in the cave

Darkvision:
Darkvision is the extraordinary ability to see with no light source at all, out to a range specified for the creature. Darkvision is black-and-white only (colors cannot be discerned). It does not allow characters to see anything that they could not see otherwise—invisible objects are still invisible, and illusions are still visible as what they seem to be. Likewise, darkvision subjects a creature to gaze attacks normally. The presence of light does not spoil darkvision.

I don't think a monk has an attack of opportunity against him with unarmed strikes

monk:
Unarmed Strike: At 1st level, a monk gains Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. A monk's attacks may be with fist, elbows, knees, and feet. This means that a monk may make unarmed strikes with his hands full. There is no such thing as an off-hand attack for a monk striking unarmed. A monk may thus apply his full Strength bonus on damage rolls for all his unarmed strikes.

Usually a monk's unarmed strikes deal lethal damage, but he can choose to deal nonlethal damage instead with no penalty on his attack roll. He has the same choice to deal lethal or nonlethal damage while grappling.

A monk's unarmed strike is treated as both a manufactured weapon and a natural weapon for the purpose of spells and effects that enhance or improve either manufactured weapons or natural weapons.

A monk also deals more damage with his unarmed strikes than a normal person would, as shown above on Table: Monk. The unarmed damage values listed on Table: Monk is for Medium monks. A Small monk deals less damage than the amount given there with his unarmed attacks, while a Large monk deals more damage; see Small or Large Monk Unarmed Damage on the table given below.

In this you can see the ammunition on the first page under the light hammer

Male Half-Orc Barbarian/1 HP: 14/18 AC: 15 | T:10, | FF: 13 | CMB: +8 | CMD: 18 | F: +5, R: +2, W: +2 | Init: +2 | Perc: +4, |Darkvision|rage 10/13 left |+2 on to hit until ending of campaign

As I told in the game play thread I'll discus some of the points about why I have Light hammers instead of Javelins.

I started looking for ranged weapons because my former GM was a major d*k with a sadistic streak a mile long. So I wanted some ranged weapon just in case we came upon flying/climbing creatures or enemies on the other side of a ravine etc.

Then I started thinking what kind I wanted and I thought that thrown would fit better than a bow with barbarians.

When I decided that I wanted to play barbarian I immediately thought of two handed hammers as weapons. When I came on a half-orc I thought that the great axe would be a better fit. So I thought that throwing hammers would be a nice tribute.

All this was thought of before I found out what the stats of the weapons were.

As soon as I found that out I thought about changing my weapons but I thought the following:

I like that I'm not fully optimized for ranged combat since it is an extra because Grognar likes to smash faces up close.

Next is the fact that my hammers are blunt damage which is useful against skeletons(like I said my GM was difficult) and the like.

Lastly I though about how would Grognar feel about using javelins and he though: We use hammers for our smashing and toothpicks to pick our teeth.

So that is why I use light hammers.

Male Half-Orc Barbarian/1 HP: 14/18 AC: 15 | T:10, | FF: 13 | CMB: +8 | CMD: 18 | F: +5, R: +2, W: +2 | Init: +2 | Perc: +4, |Darkvision|rage 10/13 left |+2 on to hit until ending of campaign

Grognar puts up a big smile as Vortok asks about other creatures. Sounds like I'll have plenty to smash.

He turns to the others as we walk outside. Lets pick the others up. I want to go smash some goblins.

In discussion you can read why I use light hammers.

On my character sheet is says that I have 20 ammunition for light hammers while I only bought 4 is this correct?

Male Half-Orc Barbarian/1 HP: 14/18 AC: 15 | T:10, | FF: 13 | CMB: +8 | CMD: 18 | F: +5, R: +2, W: +2 | Init: +2 | Perc: +4, |Darkvision|rage 10/13 left |+2 on to hit until ending of campaign

Grognar pulls 10 gold coins from his pouch and puts them on the counter. It ain't much but it is almost all I have left.

He says to Ealit is good to have you join us.

I'll explain the hammers in the discussion thread when I'm on a computer

Grognar puts up a big smile and reaches out his handGrognar the Bold. But call me Grognar

I was wasn't sure about retrieving them but with those rules 4 are enough.

I was planning to mainly use the axe but in the one game of d&d that I played the GM attacked is with flying monkeys because we only had one ranged character so its more a just in case.

Male Half-Orc Barbarian/1 HP: 14/18 AC: 15 | T:10, | FF: 13 | CMB: +8 | CMD: 18 | F: +5, R: +2, W: +2 | Init: +2 | Perc: +4, |Darkvision|rage 10/13 left |+2 on to hit until ending of campaign

in that case I don't need to buy anything and the full 13GP can go towards the group

Male Half-Orc Barbarian/1 HP: 14/18 AC: 15 | T:10, | FF: 13 | CMB: +8 | CMD: 18 | F: +5, R: +2, W: +2 | Init: +2 | Perc: +4, |Darkvision|rage 10/13 left |+2 on to hit until ending of campaign

Grognar only has 13GP and change to put toward it but he wants some more weapons preferably ranged.

@GM can I assume that we keep the normal prices for items cause in that case I only need 2~4GP for those weapons.

He looks at Vortok leaving.
Guess you can't win em all at once.

He turns to Ameiko.
Could I get that breakfast to go, It seems we are leaving.

After he turns back to the rest he says:Could we go check out if they have any more light hammers here I could use some more.

Ok I was just wondering about the movement I only read the pdf on my mobile so far so I sometimes miss some rules

I changed my character sheet to reflect the encumbrance rules posted by the gm earlier on. The link to the sheet can be found in my profile which I also changed to reflect this.

I pasted my character sheet into my profile. I think it is correct but I will keep the one on my drive up to date the most(seeing as it is easier to check on my mobile)

Alright thanks I'll fill it out later.

So just so you guys know I tend to do this in my downtime at work so I'll be more productive during the week and might be a bit slow in the weekends. Also next Wednesday is a national holiday so I might not make it then.

Yeah a little question do you want me to add something more about the sheet to my profile and if yes do you have a good template somewhere?

and is the info under my name correct/relevant?

Grognar is about 6 feet tall and 248 lbs heavy although I must admit that I'm European meaning that the imperial system is a bit hard to understand for me.

Before you stands a a big half-orc. He his skin is dark green on the greyish side. He has dark brown hair which falls in braids across his back.

He wears chain mail that looks well maintained but used. you see that he wears clothes that look like they are a bit warmer than most use in this region.

He as a two handed axe slung across his backpack and some 2 throwing hammer hanging from his belt.

He looks at everybody with his bright green eyes and grins showing off his slight tusks.

Greetings everyone,

I'm Grognar the Bold, but call me Grognar.

He turns to look at AmeikoI have traveled very far and would love to have some breakfast

He turns to KrakkagarYes I noticed when I left home that people in other places tend to be smaller than meHe grins while shaking Krakkagars hand.

He turns to Fyfe and notices the uneasy smile. This nature fellow must be having trouble around so many folks
And so am I.

He turns to Navika and holds out his handI'm very pleased to meet you.

And at last he turns to Vortok.Greetings master dwarf.
I hope you are not put off by my appearance. I come from a Ulfen tribe up north and have a fully human upbringing.
I hope we can become well acquainted.
Grognar holds out his hand for Vortok to shake.

Ulfen:
The Ulfen are the tribes in which I envisioned Grognar growing up. Here is some extra information

@Whoever knows. My base movement speed is 30 my fast movement increases this by 10 to 40 does this get dragged down by armor or am I able to move at 40ft per round?

@GM Polygoon What is the xp table that we follow is the next level 2000xp or something else(to correct the character sheet)

Alright I shall read myself in the adventure tomorrow and introduce myself(seeing as I'm Going to bed in a minute)

The exact tribe will be chosen when I know more about them

@Ed Reppert To be honest I haven't thought of it yet seeing as I thought about making it up as I go but it will be an Half orc from a human mother.

He is raised in a human settlement and If you read pathfinder tales #2 Winter witch then I think of it a bit as White Raven. But it will be a different settlement.

He choose his deity based on what was recommended as an half orc god but it will go something like honouring his orcen ancestors and like the fact that the god will stand for fighting/mayhem etc.

As for how he was conceived it will probably be rape of the mother on a trip or something.

Hey Guys

So I tried setting up my Character and I made
Grognar the half-orc barbarian.
