Do we not still have the other fox we rescued? I assumed the party was yelling at him for no real reason.

"We found one in a cage and another attempting some sort of magic. When his name was called a portal seemed to suck him in."

His name? How would I know that. Well the others can worry about that part I will concentrate on the crocodile.

Before advancing on the fox, too the party "We should take him alive knowing his name or not, I think the crocodile will have to go thoug."

As he advances on the crocodile he tries to distract the fox from what he is doing.

Agreed. We bring the fox we have and head upstairs.

I have made a personal rule of no peaking. Which sucks sometimes when your character is neither perceptive or knowledgeable lol.

Grast approaches the sphere of darkness and sticks the end of his scythe into it to see what happens.

Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 7 well there was a chance :)

Grast will take point and continue to search in the pattern they had agreed to.

Grast leads though each of the alcoves, starting with the first smaller one to their NE.

Grast polishes the end of his scythe, getting the dust off it form the exploding beastie.

Very calmly he tells the fox "Don't try and run off now."

Still spluttering from the dust Grast quickly rinses his mouth out and face off with some of the water that is conveniently all around.

"Little buggers would not hold still. My scythe is not great at hitting something so small it seems.

Looking at the restrained fox Grast knows he is not going to be able to get him out but moves close in case he needs to be restrained.

"You must be 'the fox' that the fish is looking for."

Yes it is a plus five bonus if you or your allies are threatened by the creature.

"Enough with the magic you nasty little bugger!"

At least my stomach is feeling better. That should help.

The battle song of Lars inspires the sickened Grast to take another swing.

Grast swallows hard, keeping down a mouth full of bile. Not feeling so well.

He swing hard but...

misses by almost a full yard, stumbling a step with the follow-thru.

Knowing his swing will land true Grast laughs but the laugh is poorly times as he creature explodes glittery dust he inhales. Coughing and sputtering he know his next swing will be more difficult.

Still he quickly steps to the bigger of the creaturs and swings.

Clearly the dust has hampered him.

As I finished typing this it dawned on me that I may not be able to move this far in water though it looks less deep here from the map then when we came in. If I cannot do the attack I will simply move up to the point where I can get to them next round.

Seeing the small hideous flying creatures Grast will advance and swing his scythe at the left most creature hoping to cleave it in two.

"Nasty looking buggers!"

Confirm Crit: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 damn

Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 1) + 3 = 8

To a carpenter everything is a nail, to a many with a scythe everything is wheat.

Lets take 10 and get the bugger open. One person assisting me and it will be open.

Grast takes a sweeping swing but knowing his companions are close the swing may have been to cautious.

Grast advances on the worm thing and trys to climb onto the next bookshelf where the creature is and

I am not sure on the action economy of that but I am assuming I cannot attack after climbing around in the water and shelves.

Watching the others clamber to the top of the shelves Grast again wonders what he has gotten himself into.

"Not sure if my scythe is going to be great up there or if I will not be too clumsy to move about. I am going to try and wade though I think."

Grast will start moving towards the light.

With -1 Acrobatics Gast would end up falling off I am pretty confident.

Grast racks his brain for the name of the initiate and finally settles on a "close enough" answer.

"Think I should go back and get that fellow that Worm-mill character? He was messing about down here, it may have been an accident."

Looking at the Aasimar Electricity and water, think I will keep a little distance form that one.

Grast moves to lead the group down the spiral staircase to see what is what.

Do those stairs lead to the small room on page one or the bigger room on page 2? Either way I will start moving down.

PbP is, by its nature, slow because real life comes first. I am sure we all just hope MRI went ok.

Noticing the "men" in the boat for the first time (I didn't read so thoroughly) Grast assumes they are a threat or a cause and makes sure they can see his scythe as he speaks in a threatening manner.

"Put those little sticks down!!"

Not seeing what is being talked about Grast waids over to remove whatever obstruction he can.

On the way, assuming the water doesn't smell foul, he dips a finger in to taste if it is salt water or fresh water.

Grast takes a moment to put his game face on and shoulders though the doors, down the stairs and slightly to the right to allow free access. As he moves he readies his scythe.

Grast moves to the double doors ready to lead the way when the others are ready. If people agree he will move in and to the right to clear the doorway.

The ex-farmer continues growing less sure as he speaks.

"For a flood on the farm we used sandbags, is it worth lugging in a couple?" Think man, if it was that simple someone would have done it.

A muscular man in a chain shirt and what appear to be workmen cloths enters carrying a large scythe.

He scans those with him and smiles.

Well he is loud and she is quiet. Seems as good a start as any to my new career in the Society.

Despite the large, unsual weapon he is fairly unassuming at the moment.

"Greetings everyone. How can I prove myself to the Society? I am anxious to get started but not without knowing what we can."
