It is really interesting. Its being rather difficult to go from a work environment back into university, and I'm just trying to handle the change.

Technically yes, part Shaitan. Gran't' grew up with Dwarves though. They all knew him and his family, so it is not a question he has been asked. He hasn't interacted much with people outside of his clan mine.

Gran't' buys a yak, and rations for it, a saddle, and other equipment he will need.
He also buys a set of masterwork sculpting and masonry tools.
He stocks up on some other smaller items as well, a few healing potions, some potions of lesser restoration.

When preparing himself in the morning Gran't' trades his mountain pattern armor for the armor they found in the cave.
After everyone else is done with Sana he approaches her and says "Your armor from yesterday served well. I don't think I would be lying to say it saved my life." He shuffles for a moment, "Lanneth says this is some ancient relic imbued with magic. Apparently it can make me grow." He chuckles for a moment before whispering to her "But between us, I actually prefer the armor you sold me. This thing is uncomfortable and I can't move as easily."
He nods at her and thinks for a moment, before asking "Does this town have a stablemaster? I think I need to buy a mount. That lot are all for riding horses..." It is clear as day to Sara that he is not fond of the idea.

I will grab Uskroth's armor, and look at buying something to ride.

If people want, I can potentially pool with someone to get someone a belt/headband.

Looking at things for me to ride, it does not look like I will get away with anything medium sized.
A riding boar could carry 260 lbs as a medium load, and if I remove some of my other gear I can probably fit into that.

Gran't' likes being in contact with the ground. So a smaller animal would be better than a bigger one, but I am flat out of luck there.

So I have been looking at alternatives in the large category that would work, and I have found a potential option.

A Yak. At size Large and Str 27 they can carry plenty.
They can carry 1038 lbs as a LIGHT load.

I also think, with us being in a mountainous area, yaks might be common, and they are generally seen as not as flighty as horses, so Gran't' could probably be convinced to ride one.

So I just put Uskroth's armor on Gran't' and it is basically the same or worse in every way compared to his mountain pattern armor.
Except for the once per day enlarge.
I might be better off buying a masterwork full plate.

I want him to be short but heavy. Minimum height is 4ft. Max is 5ft.
I like 4'3"
Weight minimum is apparently 150lb. Max is 234.
I think somewhere just over 200lbs. Lets say 207lb.

With gear:
Only gear he has of any reasonable weight is Uskroth's Armor at 100lbs.

So for other small stuff he might have, call it 320lbs.

According to the bestiary entry for ponies:
A light load for a pony is up to 100 pounds, a medium load is 101–200 pounds, and a heavy load is 201–300 pounds. A pony can drag 1,500 pounds.

So a pony does not work.
A War Pony would work though. But not quite the same thing.

A 'riding' boar would also work. Str 17 and quadruped.

Otherwise its a horse.

I am not sure what Gran't' stance on horses is. I doubt he would be used to them at all, having lived in a mine, and horses not being good underground.
I don't want to be too cliche and have the small dwarf type character not like horses.

Because you meld very slightly into the earth, when you are standing on an earthen surface, you ignore difficult terrain caused by rocks, earth, or mud, and while on such surfaces you add your elemental overflow bonus to your CMD against being moved or tripped and on Acrobatics checks to balance.

Misc Skills increased.
