I see. I'm working a missing persons case with my...associates here. We're looking for Floon Blagmaar, associate of Volothamp Geddarm, the author. Our investigation revealed that Floon was last seen with young Neverember. Further searching led us here to this apparent Zhent hideout. Floon has been moved, but we managed to liberate Neverember.

He says as he ooens his eyes. ...I've arrested a few criminals before bearing the mark of a winged snake. They were all Zhentarim. I knew they were being more brazen as of late, but kidnapping a noble? They must be getting ready for a major power move. We need to pick up the trai on these guys before the worst happens.

He snaps his gaze around the bar looking for anyone with a winged snake tattoo.

If Floon was with Lord Nerverember's son when he disappeared, it's likely that he wasn't the primary target of abduction. That doesn't bode well for Floon if thats the case.

It looks like we're of an accord, and Dacknar's gotten us a lead to follow at the Skewered Dragon. Volo, we'll find your friend. And maybe we'll find some answers while we're at it.

Gramm takes 2 dragons from his pouch and hands them to Bonnie as she passes by covering anyone's tab who isn't paid up as well as a tip if any is leftover.

In reply to Durnan "Yeah, well thats a surprising bit of saftey advice coming from the man with a HOLE TO THE UNDERMOUNTAIN in the middle of his bar!" and hearing his utterance responds with "Back at ya, you tough old bastard"

After listening to Volo's story intently and taking notes, Gramm addresses the wizard...

"It seems fates are aligned--though perhaps you knew that already. I've been assigned to investigate the Xanathar's Guild. In the past they've kept a very low profile. Some on the force werent even sure they actually existed. They've been uncharacteristically active recently, and in their wake violence is spreading, though we cant figure out their actual plans or goals. I was hoping to recruit these guys to help me track them and figure it out and with your missing friend being the closest thing Ive got to a lead, I think we can help you out."

He looks over to Yagra and back to volo, lowering his voice "You mentioned the Zhentarim. How are they involved in all of this?"

"Not exactly..." Gramm starts to answer Annett before the fight breaks out.

Ugh! Every other night in this place. Durnan's really gotta hire some muscle to keep his clientele in check.

He pinches the bridge of his nose--eyes closed, in annoyance--before marching over to the scuffle and produces his standard issue city watch horn. He blows a loud blaring warning signal to catch everyone's attention and follows with a verbal warning:"Anyone who doesn't want to spend the next 10 days in a cage, and pay a hefty fine for assault...I suggest you put down your fists, pick up your drinks, and get back to your personal brand of revelry."

Gramm hurriedly rushes through the door of the tavern, narrowly avoiding crashing into the human barmaid.

"Sorry Bonnie. I'm running a bit late and wasn't watching where I was going." The barmaid gives him a knowing look as if to say "what else is new?" before continuing her rounds.

As he proceeds into the dining area Gramm takes care to greet some of the patrons and anyone watching notices him switching between common, elvish, dwarfish, and orcish--sprinkling in cultural greetings in the native tongues of his Waterdhavian neighbors. He's greeted fondly by some, cordially by most, and coldly by others. Some of the more sketchy types tap their shoulders as he passes by--a common gesture among thieves indicating a "back stabber". One particularly vocal patron shouts "Move it along, bus napper!".

Gramm ignores this and pulls a piece of parchment out of his blue uniform and reads over it. He then looks up, scans the room quizzically, and snaps his fingers as his eyes light up at the sight of the group already sitting together.

He quickly makes his way over, flashes an exited smile, and introduces himself.Greetings, everyone! I'm Gramm Luther, from the City Watch. And if that means anything to you I'm talking to the right people. Sorry to keep you waiting.

Hey all sorry for the delay but I'll be posting in the gameplay thread shortly. Spent the last several days moving into a new house so I missed checking the boards.

Here is Blaq Foxx's Character. You were right, I did earn enough Adventure Points to Level Up to 2. I'll take the slow progression option until everyone else catches up.

Also, I've been using This and This as resources for role-playing a citywatchmen and interacting with NPCs in Waterdeep. I particularly looked at the ranks (I made my self a Swordcaptain), uniforms, and organizational structure of the watch to see where Gramm would fit in it all.

I think if we're going for the 'Suicide Squad' hook, it would make sense for Gram to be under the Theif-Taker division of the watch, particularly because of his backstory and skill set.

If any of that doesn't gel with the adventure, I'm not married to it. Just throwing it out there.
