i have used this in the past and it works as long as you have a Player you can trust to keep there mouth Shut. also don't use it very often

have a Player roll up two characters , and start playing with the Sacrificial one, after a session or 3 when people are invested in there characters arrange for your villain to ambush or take prisoner the players, and then have him Kill your Sacrificial PC as messily and graphically and easily as possible.

and you can even use a Lieutenant for the real villein as once your player have killed the Lieutenant, they will transfer the hate and loathing onto your Boss

this i found worked wonders in motivating my players into wanting to hunt him down and kill him.

note this is not for every campaign, and i would use it only if i was having trouble getting players involved,

OK hoping you can help me, DM'ing a new campaign(only LvL 5 at the mo) and I have managed to killed off the Party Cleric (just bad roll's), so the PC wants to Build a Multi-class Cleric Fighter Build so she can Dish out more damage in combat, and wants to take the Multitalented racial trait from the Half-elf, But She douse not want to Be a Half-elf,

So without a homebrew fix to it, we had a look around the PDR and d20pfsrd and found Adopted,

Now on the PDR is says you can pick a racial trait from your parent race, so to this I would assume Multitalented was selectable ? but on the d20pfsrd site there is a Specific list on traits that you can pick from ?
Any help clearing this up would be good, thanks

how about Shadwell's revenge

there is always the sacred fist war priest, there is a synergy with a wisdom based monk, and i believe the sacred fist war priest levels count towards your monk level for flurry of blows

Ah OK thank you, that makes lots more sense :D

so at 4th level he can make it a +1
and at 8th level he can make it a +2 or a +1 flaming
and at 12th level he can make it a +3 or a +1 flaming + Flaming burst

got it thank you very much

Ok quick question if you all please

I am building a warpriest for a PC for a campaign I am running and I need a little help understanding part of the sacred weapon text ? (new to pathfinder as a DM)

It says

“These bonuses stack with any existing bonuses the weapon might have, to a maximum of +5. The warpriest can enhance a weapon with any of the following weapon special abilities: brilliant energy, defending, disruption, flaming, frost, keen, and shock. In addition, if the warpriest is chaotic, he can add anarchic and vicious. If he is evil, he can add mighty cleaving and unholy. If he is good, he can add ghost touch and holy. If he is lawful, he can add axiomatic and merciful. If he is neutral (with no other alignment components), he can add spell storing and thundering. Adding any of these special abilities replaces an amount of bonus equal to the special ability's base cost. Duplicate abilities do not stack. The weapon must have at least a +1 enhancement bonus before any other special abilities can be added.”

It’s the last bit I don’t understand ? how do I find out the amount of bonus equal to the special ability’s cost ? little lost hoping you can help

Thanks

@ Rambear

Ah thanks for the Clarification, so much to read and so little time :D

i believe that eldritch knight requires you to Able to cast 3rd-level arcane spells., i am not sure that Spell like ability's count towards this do they ?

Hi Will

i am currently Running my own updated version as an introduction :D Starting tomorrow anyway.

i would like a copy of yours if you don't mind to compare

reason being i stopped Playing and GM'ing when AD&D 2nd was replaced by D&D 3rd, so i have a lot of catching up to do with pathfinder, and it would be good to see how well i have converted it :D

Thanks

Do you want him to Just be a Body Guard ? or is he going to be Body Guard/Manservant all round Handy man ?

if the Former i would Go with a Fighter or Barbarian just for Protection and Muscle if you want the Later personal i would go for a Strength based Rogue, that way he can do something of everything even mix in some UMD for healing and scroll wand use.

thanks Callum did not even know that existed

@Haladir

i have added the 2 Free PDF's to my Account thanks, and picked up a PDF copy of the The Inner Sea World Guide PDF as well thanks for that,

i did look at the GM guide and thought it could be good, but as my players are new and this system is all changed to what i remember !!! (why oh why get ride of THAC0) !!! i thought i would keep it sample,

i will take a look at the other books you mentioned but i think i will keep them close to Sand point for now, i have a load of old modules and material in my Attic that i could probably bring up to date if needed.

once they are more experienced and if they like it i might branch out, also thanks for the tip about the sub forum for this AP.

is a grid map essential ? sorry never used on in AD&D can you get buy without it ?

and yes i have a bucket load of Dice even some from the old D&D red box's @D

@Woran i am the only AD&D player, the rest are all new to Role play so i will be sticking to the core classes for now, might introduce the Ultimate combat/magic at a later date, i dont wont to over laod them or me with info.

@Kayland are there many ? can i sub-statue them for other gribbles ?

once again thanks very very much :D
