Hi all, need a little advice, so I am running a new AP(Carrion Crown), and I have two players that want to Play as estranged Brothers, one wants to Be a Paladin(LG) and the second wants to be a Slayer(NE), they are called together as per the Start of the Campaign.

The Brothers want the brotherly Conflict to Continue through the campaign with both Brothers trying to Convert the Other to His Idea of how the world should be, now while the Slayer being NE due to a Bitter backup with his family and slowly going down a more evil path in life, has no problem working with a Paladin, the Paladin Code lists that he cannot(in my interpretation) work with Evil for a Long period of time, Short periods yes but long no.

Now to the question, would a Paladin actively scan his companions in their first meeting to see if they were evil ? or would he try and feel out there intentions ? or as would probably most of us if we had an estranged sibling(that we had not seen in years and had no news of) just think they were being a Bit more of a C**K at this moment and then try and bring them round to being who they used to be ? and what impact would this have on the Paladins journey towards a Possible Fall (this depend on who wins the arguments)

How would you handle this? I can see so many wonderful role playing moments with the Paladins Very Soul hanging in the Balance, but as he sees it his Brothers soul needs saving ?

I am tempted to allow the Evil alignment and to allow the Paladin to work with him as long as He douse not use detect evil on him, and once he finds out have it as his side mission to bring his brother back to the fold of good.

Thoughts and Answers on a postcard below please !

Thanks

OK hoping you can help me, DM'ing a new campaign(only LvL 5 at the mo) and I have managed to killed off the Party Cleric (just bad roll's), so the PC wants to Build a Multi-class Cleric Fighter Build so she can Dish out more damage in combat, and wants to take the Multitalented racial trait from the Half-elf, But She douse not want to Be a Half-elf,

So without a homebrew fix to it, we had a look around the PDR and d20pfsrd and found Adopted,

Now on the PDR is says you can pick a racial trait from your parent race, so to this I would assume Multitalented was selectable ? but on the d20pfsrd site there is a Specific list on traits that you can pick from ?
Any help clearing this up would be good, thanks

Ok quick question if you all please

I am building a warpriest for a PC for a campaign I am running and I need a little help understanding part of the sacred weapon text ? (new to pathfinder as a DM)

It says

“These bonuses stack with any existing bonuses the weapon might have, to a maximum of +5. The warpriest can enhance a weapon with any of the following weapon special abilities: brilliant energy, defending, disruption, flaming, frost, keen, and shock. In addition, if the warpriest is chaotic, he can add anarchic and vicious. If he is evil, he can add mighty cleaving and unholy. If he is good, he can add ghost touch and holy. If he is lawful, he can add axiomatic and merciful. If he is neutral (with no other alignment components), he can add spell storing and thundering. Adding any of these special abilities replaces an amount of bonus equal to the special ability's base cost. Duplicate abilities do not stack. The weapon must have at least a +1 enhancement bonus before any other special abilities can be added.”

It’s the last bit I don’t understand ? how do I find out the amount of bonus equal to the special ability’s cost ? little lost hoping you can help

Thanks
